We stayed 1 night here as a stop between Rantepao and Makassar. We were told it is one of the best hotels in Sengkang, if so, I am not curious to the other hotels. From the outside it looks nice, receptionist is very friendly. We even got a welcome drink. The only thing I thought a little strange is the...

After looking at BBC (very expensive) we ended up at Pondok Eka...it was ok for us as it was just a one night transit on our way from Bara to Rantepao.Fairly strange place ,big, square, open layout with a massive swimming pool central on the ground floor(not usable) grand staircase to first floor then spiral staircase to 2nd floor...it didn't have a...

Perhaps this hotel has known better times (guidebooks say it's the best in town), but rooms are smelly, dirt under the beds and therefore cockroaches a plenty. Hot water not working everywhere. Only one sheet. Not nice. Breakfast is very basic and the even the fried rice was cold. Staff tries to be friendly, but we had difficulties with the...

We asked for a standard room and a discount for 2 nights. We got the discount and an upgrade! I think the upgrade was the best of both because of the fridge you get. It took the AC nearly 15h to cool the large room, but the weather was extremely hot so... I think it's the best choice in Sengkang...

Maybe a slight exaggeration, but that is truly how I felt upon stepping foot in Pondok Eka. The entire building was eerily empty except for the lady at the front desk and a couple of children rolling around playing in the lobby. On the way to our room we walked past the mossy green pool which is mostly a cess...

The hotel was good in comparation with others that we stay in Sulawesi Island. The staff was very friendly and eficiente. The restaurant have cold beer, a very difficult drink to find in Sulawesi island.

Friendly service. We were appointed a recently build room, but it was not very clean. Bathroom was spacious, although a bit dirty. The beds were of good quality. The breakfast was fine. Staff can help with planning trips to the nearby lake.

We come very late to the Sengkang, and our driver recommended us Pondok Eka as the best hotel in the city. We stayed there for 2 nights. We got room, that was very large, had TV, fridge, AC. Room was clean, there was only problem with shower. Ehm. We didn't have shower, the water just flow from the tube from...

We stayed here to break the long drive from Makassar to Rantepao. The hotel is quite austere but might be the best in town. The rooms are clean, the air-conditioning really worked, and the staff was nice. However, we only ate the rice and vegetables at dinner. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We visited the Tempe lake...

Pondok Eka The rooms do have good AC. On entering the room I killed my first roach that managed to survive the intense bug spray. The food was edible but the environment of a nightmare of a construction site did not enhance the "dinning experience". The place is a dump.If you have the stamina drive straight to Toraja.
