We stayed one night in a double room with shared bathroom. The hostel is located centrally close to the bus terminal and about 10 min walk from the city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the community areas comfortable and welcoming. Room and shared bathroom were clean, towels were provided. Breakfast was included and good with real coffee...

It's about 5-10 minutes walk from the actual center and located along a rather busy road. Somehow it was still pretty quiet inside though. The shared bathrooms were super clean and the room simple but spacious enough. I think they charge a fair price for it.

Looking thru these posts, Ii see that others have had the same experience. Here's what happened to us: We booked 2 nights thru hostelbookers.com and when we showed up, our host did not have any reservation for us. We showed him a printout of our confirmation, but, "sorry". The confirmation showed that we paid $13 for the booking. He did...

a great hostal. Clean and comfortable room, great kitchen. Good breakfast with real coffee. The owner was very helpful and made a great recommendation for dinner. Secure parking. Convenient for walking into Castro. Only slight downside, the hostal is on the main road so the rooms at the front are a bit noisy. Bring earplugs.

My fiance and I are in our mid-30s traveling for 6 months and loved this place. We stayed in a private room with shared bath which was both clean and comfortable. Luis, the owner, is incredibly nice and made the best breakfasts we've had on our trip, including freshly made juice concoctions. The location is great as well just a...

We spent two nights in this hotel and found the owner just fantastic! He was really kind, friendly and always happy to help and provide us with what we needed. He also speaks a really good English which was very convenient as our Spanish skills are catastrophic. The hotel is located close to the city center (Castro is not such...

I spent a couple of days in this really cosy hostel. The owner is very relaxed and helpful, the rooms are very nice. Though the 1st floor rooms are warmer and my first room on ground floor was cold and some some mouldy smell due to the moist climate. Nevertheless, I would return here again! Bathrooms were clean and modern,...

Well, it already started badly when we arrived. The owner was out (having dinner) and his mother, who was present in the house, didn't know about us coming that night, although I had booked the room months before. There were two rooms left, both badly isolated, very cramped and one without a window. I'm not claustrophobic, but I couldn't wait...

We stayed 3 nights at Hostal Torre de Babel while we visited Castro & could have easily stayed longer. The hostal is on the main road into Castro & very easy to find. Our room was upstairs near the shared bathroom & was very tidy & comfortable. The entire hostel is very clean, so don't worry about sharing the bathroom....

We stayed four nights at Hostal Torres del Babel and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was comfortable and clean, the bed was cozy with lots of blankets, wifi was reliable (especially in the lounge) and the hostel is a short walk from the main sites and a supermercado. But, it was Luis, the owner, that made sure...
