Ok it's low season but the hotel was shut. I managed to get the owner to speak to his Janitor to open a room for me, through contacting the local tourism agency. The manager of the restaurant annexed to the hotel was simply too lazy to help and the defector manager a girl called Fanny was absolutely no help what...

The hosteria is very well located, with a friendly staff, specially the owner who helped us to organize our time enjoying Futaleufú at the best. The room was comfortable and the good breakfast included by a very reasonable price.

We stayed at this Hotel during our travel through the Careterra Austral in May 2013. It was obviously well past the tourist season in Futaleufu and we were glad to stay at this hotel which has a 'wild west' feel to it. From the vintage bike parked in a prime location at the reception area, to the wide stairs and...

There are not many places to stay in Futaleufu. And if you arrive off season, there are less! We stayed 2 nights at Rio Grande and had the hostel almost for ourself. The room was big and had a comfortable bed. The carpet on the floor was quite old and looked not so nice anymore. Bathroom was small but OK....

There aren't a lot of good, affordable options in town. This one is okay though expensive. My room was fine, very quiet, but pretty unremarkable. The restaurant in particular is very overpriced, though the food isn't bad. The best thing was the owner/manager, who went out of his way to give me some very helpful travel advice.

Extremely happy with room, bed and bath. Nice adjoining restaurant with large fireplace. Excellent cerviche. Good atmosphere and helpful owner (Renzo). Don't know about anyother places in this small town, but I would definitley stay at Rio Grande again.

OK, this is Futaleufu, it is wonderful for lotsa things (rivers, wilderness, etc.) but don't expect to find lotsa sidewalk cafes with wonderful offerings. No, you will be longing for meals that are satisfying, unless you are somewhere you can cook, such as a cabana. This place served me two wonderful meals, both of which when they were not exactly...
