    I am writing on trip advisor in the hope that I will get a reply from customer service or from somebody who my ignored emails may concern. I have to start by saying that I can not rate this hotel as I haven't stayed here yet , however, myself and my husband are due to stay here for 3 weeks starting from the 27th November to the 18th December to celebrate my Birthday and our 3rd wedding anniversary. Although the reviews on trip advisor are very mixed the majority are very good and I did have a few questions that I would of liked answered before having to make our decision about our stay here but like I say, this is purely written here because I have emailed the hotel 2 times already but have had no guidance or reply. My 1st email was sent on the 13th of July and was just general enquiries about the hotel as we wanted to find out more information about it, I explained that we were actually already booked to stay with a different neighbouring hotel , a hotel that we had stayed in and been happy in since our honeymoon in 2014 but we were now concerned that since our last visit to that hotel in 2016 the reviews on trip advisor had actually gotten so bad that it was causing us concerns and after noticing a few changes ourselves on our last visit we were considering cancelling our booking with that hotel and changing to the iberostar instead, however, we never received a reply when one would of been nice for reassurance at least, especially as this was to do with a potential booking!. On the 26th July I emailed again explaining that we only had until the 2nd of September to make up our minds if we were to cancel the other booking that was already fully paid for at the neighbouring hotel, I again explained that it was reassurance that we were after so that in our minds we could settle into thinking that by possibly changing to the iberostar we would be doing the right thing, it's a hard decision to make to draw yourself away from something that you know and from somewhere were we'd been happy for for 3 years and made lots of friends, we also explained that we had been looking further into staying at the iberostar and were happy with the good reviews that it was getting but we actually preferred the look of the bavoro suites section of the resort rather than the iberostar Punta Cana but our travel agent doesn't sell that part of the hotel so wanted ask do the hotel give you the option of moving to the bavoro suites section once you are there. Again I did not get a reply! I don't think this is very good especially when this has to do with a potential booking. On the 28th September I emailed again asking the same questions and this time confirming that because we had to make a quick decision based on reviews of the 2 different hotels we had decided to pay a cancellation fee and rebook to stay with the Iberostar for 3 weeks instead. I explained that I was a little disappointed that they hadn't replied with answers to our questions in my previous emails and hoped that it was just an over sight and that the good reviews were worth the extra costs we had to endure to change our booking and hopefully experience them ourselves. In my 3rd and final email I included all of our details, the reason for our change and also some requests on rooms and if it was possible to have a room in the bavoro suites section of the resort once checking in if we liked, as mentioned earlier our travel agent does not sell that package. We are looking forward to our stay as it's the 1 and only holiday we get a year as it's to celebrate my Birthday and our wedding anniversary, the rest of the year is spent working 6 days a week and away from each other so could I just ask that, please, we get to stay in a nice , comfortable, quiet room, preferably one of the newly decorated ones and on the top floor with nice pool or sea views, ( yes i'm putting my requests on here as i dont know if my emails are getting through ). We really are not fussy people and very rarly complain unless it is justified but all I wanted was a reply of acknowledgment that my emails have been received and it would of been nice to have my questions answered as we did have a dead line to decide on what to do but in the end we decided to go with the good reviews and give iberostar a go . I would just like to say though that not replying to potential customers enquiries could very easily loose iberostar business as helping people with their enquires is all part of customer service which I'm sure you already know anyway. Please let me say that this is NOT in anyway a negative review about this hotel as we haven't stayed here yet it is just a last hope in getting a reply from somebody acknowledging our emails.     The Iberostar Bavaro is only a few dollars more than Iberostar Punta Cana. Why not just book the upgraded Iberostar?. We love the quiet, smaller aspect of Iberostar Punta Cana. Only 346 rooms compared to some mega resorts... More

    There are 346 rooms. This is smaller than most resorts and one reason we prefer to stay here. Everything is close. No need for shuttle. Have seen 3 mosquitos in 15 years. We are returning in 1 week for our 13th time to this... More
