The Dominican Republic coral level is very nice. It has many things to keep u busy. Special thanks to our outstanding club representatives Ledi and Reyni at the prestige lounge. The company should commend these two ladies for their impeccable assistance. Their hospitality out shines many employees that we encountered.
We had a beach front village, in the new Coral level section. the service was top notch, not only exellent it was delicate, and made us fill, as a really VIP. "THE RESTAURANT EL fARO WAS A SINGULAR EXPERIENCE", good food, clean, variate, and the service, esmerate, beginning for Jose the maitre, ana, yamilka, and others members of the staff. Martha the director of Coral was in all places at the same time, withan unusual capacity to solve all problems, and Helena the hotel director and exquisite experience executive. we were invited by Elvira the comercial director who is one of the most capable comercial staff in my 43 year old carreer. At that time the beach wes full of zargazos but Jose in the Coral bar manteined our expectatives high all the time.it was an ever ending experience that i recomend…
This is a beautiful hotel. The Coral Level is well worth it and the upgrade to ocean side rooms even more so. The beach is very nice and the breakfast/lunch buffets were amazing. Dinner restaurants were very disappointing (with the possible exception of Salt & Soul as well as La Dorada) and the concierge was useless (we saw Yolman the first and second day after which he basically ignored us despite receiving very nice tips). The overall service was very good and the staff helpful. Housekeeping was excellent while minibar service sorely lacking (never refilled). The water bottle policy needs to be reviewed. The highlight was the spa where five of us received excellent professional massages. The hotel makes an effort to help those with allergies but the labels are all wrong and misleading. THEY NEED TO GET THE ALLERGY LABELS RIGHT.…
Well organized resort and excellent buffet & restaurants. Played 5 rounds of golf on their beautiful course. Starters well organized, food & drink on the course and extremely well kept course that helps enjoy it's challenge!
Con: Service quality dependent on tipping, so bring cash! Also, I could not manage my dinner reservations on their app. Without speaking with reception, even at check in 5 days prior, the reservation process is held over your head so that you go to a grande presentation upsell. I spoke with several different people about this while here and nothing was changed. So it’s not about speaking with management at resort during your stay, they actually try to deter you from figuring out who is the manager. beach chairs/ palapas are reserved early with towels and clothing, get yours before 8am. If you do come, use the app to review daily events, we were not told how use at check in and just shuffled to room and missed a fun party, figured it out after the fact. Peddlers on beach if you want a deal, not at others we’ve been too. Pool scene non existent since this is a quieter area, so don’t bring teens they will be bored. Also only 6 paddles for a resort of over 1000 people. Pro: breakfast and lunch buffet at coral were great, wish they had a dinner buffet too since food at other restaurants not as good. Hibachi awful compared to others we’ve been too. Beach area is spread out and clean. But secure chairs/umbrellas early. Grounds very clean, rooms updated and smell wonderful. Small pool good for adults or small children. Summary: have been to many upgraded hotels, if not for the fact we felt like we were being held hostage for our dinner reservations and stalked to go to presentation, plus tipping situation we would be back. There are many other hotels to choose from, we’d recommend Lopesan unique or Hyatt or Barcelo premium or even Dreams. Iberostar will not make our list anymore.…
We have made our visit to Dominican during the Christmas holiday a yearly tradition. People always ask why do we come to the same resort every year, the main reason is the "PEOPLE". We have stayed at the Coral Level for the last 2 years and it is worth the money. Our house keeper Carmen was the best. Each day when we returned to our room it was always very clean and fresh. I enjoy being at the main pool, but the activities have become very limited. In past years prior to Covid, there were more pool activities/games. The Star Friends are an amazing group of people. I have to give a special shout out to Rosa. This young lady is always so nice and pleasant. Being members it is always a pleasure to work with the team at Star Prestige. We met Luis on the first day we checked in. We were a little concerned with our room assignment since it didn't go as well when we arrive July 2022. Luis was very pleasant and provided top notch service during our entire stay. We also met Emmanuel who was the ambassador for Star Prestige. Emmanuel checked in with us daily to see how things were going and if we needed anything. I have to give a major shout out to the best bartender on the resort. Violet is the bartender at the Star Prestige by the main lobby. SHE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!! This young lady always greeted us with a smile and makes the BEST drinks. The staff at the restaurants are the best part of breakfast, lunch and dinner. These people don't get the credit or tips they deserve. Anna at the El Faro restaurant is AMAZING !!!!!! She greeted us EVERY morning with a smile. We met Anna many years ago when she worked in the Bavarro buffet and have adored her every since. This young lady is a major benefit to your establishment. Domingo at the Bavarro buffet is AMAZING !!!! This young man has an amazing memory and is very pleasant. On occasions we have breakfast at the Bavarro buffet even though we stay at the Coral and this is because of Domingo. The service he provides is great. John at the Italian restaurant is another AMAZING young man that provides great service. Joycelyn is one of the waitress at the theatre at night. This young lady is AMAZING !!!! she has an amazing memory and remembered what drinks we would have each night. I've stayed at many resorts where the rooms are more updated with many amenities. But as I said at the beginning, the staff at this resort is the main reason we continue to come back each and every year. There have been a lot of changes and many new faces but I'm glad to see the staff that works very hard has been able to continue working. The resort continue to make changes/updates in order to improve, hope this continues.…
I have spent half of my holiday in a different resort and the second half in the Coral Level, both “5*”. Only the Coral Level felt like a true 5 star hotel. Apart from other factors, the biggest difference was people. Kind, smiling, happy to help you. They made our stay true luxurious, stress free, unforgettable time! I would like to highlight and thank : Concierge George Beach waiter Angel Waitress Yolanda Bartender Ramonita Looking forward to coming back to Iberostar Coral Level.
This being our 7th time to Dominican has to be our best to date. We checked into reception with George at the front desk at The Coral Level. He has gone out of his way to make our stay stress free and enjoyable. He recommended what restaurants to go to and has been spot on so far. Thanks again for an awesome stay
Air Canada Vacations, Iberostar Bavaro Selection Coral Level, Building 92 - AMAZING! So many positive things to say about the people, pools, beach and food! Loved the extra details of the Coral Level. Did not need to worry about saving chairs at the beach or by the pool / towels readily available and no towel card needed. The staff always made sure we were taken care of and went that extra mile. The only restaurant we did not enjoy was the Salt Soul above El Faro. The fish and seafood was much better at El Faro - perhaps a bad night? Our party of 7 had wonderful dinners at the Italian restaurant (Il Forno), Japanese (Kabuki), French (La Coupole), El Faro and the daily buffet for breakfast and lunch. We were unable to secure a reservation for Brave (the steakhouse). We were here for some much needed rest and relaxation so cannot comment on excursions, however, fitness center was wonderful with good equipment and helpful staff. Top notch drink selections with very generous shots. Highly recommend the 3 Villas by the infinity pool (92, 93 and 91) or the 5 villas behind with another pool. Would not hesitate to return to the Coral Level and also very interested in trying out the Adult Only (Grand Bavaro) section. Very satisfied guest. The environmental initiative (Wave of Change) is wonderful - refillable water bottles, no plastics, ocean/coral preservation, recycling - thumbs up to Iberostar!…
We cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving! What a wonderful addition to the Bavaro choices. We wanted to call out some of the staff that were constantly going above and beyond. Maria at the Steakhouse was dedicated to making sure everything at our table was perfection. Jose Ariazes at prestige beach area was diligent and working constantly. Luis Santana was careful to take care of us as we navigated the resort overall. Ranier at the beach bar was a pleasure to interact with and always attentive. Also, one of the shuttle drivers, Natanael. There were so many that took care of us day in and day out in the Buffett area. We are going back for spring break but can't get the rooms in the Coral Level that we need and are going to the Bavaro Select instead.
