This was our 4th visit to the Meliá Adults Only Level. Long overdue. The “new” resort was a welcome surprise. We loved the new Wellness room and really enjoyed and greatly appreciated the help from our concierges Jose Minaya and juan Adbrincoles. We loved the wellness suite and having the extra bathroom along with such an incredible deck area. Stunning views from every angle. Jose was very helpful having our mini Bar filled regularly with lots of water and beer. The beach and pool were always clean and full of fun or relaxation. I will say the towel/chair hoarding was a bit of a pain. But we were never without seat since our schedule is a bit different than most. We really took advantage of the Al a carte Restaurants this time-the dinner buffet wasn’t up to the quality it used to be. Probably due to Covid. We loved Casa Nostra, Alma, and Capri. Bummed we didn’t do dinner at Quimera. Next time. Lunch and breakfast we love the buffet as we are usually on the beach. The Roof bar at Quimera was beautiful and relaxing. And the entertainment at the adults only lobby was a blast..got my husband dancing at least 2 nights. So, really there’s a little bit of everything and pure beauty all over the resort. Can’t wait to get back!

Hotel's Favourite
ONCE AGAIN, NOT DISAPPOINTED BY MELIA. For 14 years, 13 years at Paradisus Punta Cana (which is closed) and last week, for the first time, at Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort, I experienced nothing but a fantastic and relaxing time. Although hesitant to leave Paradisus Punta Cana for a new resort, I found upon my arrival, the grounds of Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort just as beautiful and inviting as the other resort. Although my Spanish is rudimentary at best, the check-in process was easy and done without any issues and my accommodation (a beachside room) was very clean and large enough for two people to enjoy a week for rest and relaxation. As expected, the facilities, that is the restaurants, the spa, the bars, the ample transportation (a train look-a-like tram) and the beach were fantastic and well managed (the seaweed is not that bad as some may complain and it is cleaned up daily). During my stay, there was never really a time that any needs that I may have had were not attended to with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. With this, although there were many people that made our trip as wonderful as it was, I would like to thank those individuals who I remember their names for making our annual trip to Punta Cana always a great one. First and foremost, Vladimir Rodriguez, our Guest Service Assistant who handled all our needs and requests, from check in to check out and everything in between, with professionalism and grace. Melia is very lucky to have someone who is as dedicated as he is to customer service. As far as the others who made our stay memorable, there was Ubaldo Matera and Severa Rodriguez at Quimera, Mosies Sanchez King at Rumba and Casa Nostra, Marta Guzman, the hostess at Rumba who always had a bright smile and warm hola, Roman (Rumba) the egg omelet specialist and Yonaira Cedeno, our housekeeper, who kept our accommodations fresh and clean as well as keeping us on our toes with different towel greetings in our room every day, I say, muchas gracias. With all of the above, I have to say that although not everything was or is 100%, for nothing really is, this place is pretty close to it and I can’t wait to get back there soon, to see my new friends at Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort and totally recommend it to others.

We arrived at the Melia Punta Cana with not great expectations because of the pandemic still happening...but we were pleasantly surprised. First off the resort is beautiful, the grounds are stunning and the beach was amazing as always. We originally were assigned a room in Villa 14 but when I asked if there was a room available in Villa 16 there was, and we took it without hesitation. I was a bit annoyed as I messaged ahead of time and requested Villa 16 so not sure they didn't just assign it to us in the first place. Anyway we ended up with our Oceanview room I wanted so I was thrilled. We were even more thrilled when we found out our concierge for the next 10 days was going to be Eduardo Sambo, because we had heard he was amazing and he didn't disappoint. He took care of all of our needs, made all dinner reservations, any requests for our room and basically the most stress-free vacation we've ever had. Our room wasn't renovated but location meant more to us than a new bathroom. The food good and we ate at a different restaurant every night. Service was good to excellent, they even came to our table with cake and sang us Happy Anniversary on our special day(thanks Eddie) . The pool is huge and in need of some repairs but it was fine as we are more beach ppl anyway. People do play the towel game here but there is this awesome little man who runs the towel hut(can't remember his name)who can help you out with this, and house keeping did an awesome job. I don't want to repeat what others have already posted on this forum but if you have questions feel free to message me. We didn't use the spa but some friends said it was great. We did do the bike tour and the mud cleanse, highly recommended both activities. They only negatives I have are nothing to do with the resort but because of covid...no cloth napkins, salt and pepper shakers, really missed that. Trying to find condiments and spoons were a struggle some days but not a big deal. This was our 10th visit to Punta Cana and just so happy to travel again I sure wouldn't complain like some people do over ridiculous things, we are still in a pandemic and they are just trying to keep you as safe as possible, so wear your mask and your little glove in the buffets and stop your whining. We would definitely come back here and the Level upgrade is worth every penny. Eddie is a special human, takes pride in his work and we miss him and the Melia already, can't wait to return.

I give our vacation a 4.5 out of 5. The resort was beautiful and maintained perfectly. The staff was awesome. Our butler Ricky was fantastic and went above and beyond. The spa, OMG the spa was Heaven and highly recommended! The nightlife was great. There was always something going on and it didn't hinder people that wanted a quiet night. The place is massive so make sure to book a room near the beach otherwise you'll need to catch the train or golf carts to bring you back and forth. I highly recommend upgrading to "The level" It is 100% worth every penny I promise you. The food however didn't taste great and wasn't fresh. The selection on "off times" was the same everyday and not good. We didn't go hungry and we didn't get sick it just didn't taste good. I know places are struggling to make up for the loss from covid, so I'm assuming the food at the resort was one of those sacrifices. I would definitely go back to Melia Punta Cana Beach.
