This place is...okay. My flight was cancelled and then my rebooked flight delayed, so I arrived for my stay a day late. Though I was not at fault and communicated with the hotel about what was happening, I still had to pay for the day that I was stuck overnight in an airport. The hotel clearly had low occupancy at that time, and it just seemed unnecessarily unkind for the hotel to charge me for a problem I had no hand in creating. Basically I was screwed over by the airline, and then screwed over by the resort because the airline screwed me. It's a bitter pill, especially given how common flight disruptions are these days and how many people that policy must affect. I don't think I'd go to a Hard Rock resort again due to that kind of customer service. In terms of the resort itself, it's okay. The pools are clean. Many of the public bathrooms, especially by the high use pools, are not. It's a very big complex. There are frequent trams if you don't like to or can't walk the distance. For the price I expected better and safer food. I am a celiac and I definitely got "glutened" several times despite making my dietary needs known and being assured that the food I was served was gluten free. Though the restaurant menus have a gluten free marking to label safe choices, truly almost nothing was actually labelled gluten free so I often had to trust the servers, which clearly did not always work. Without trusting the servers, though, I don't think I would have been able to find enough to eat. Many "VIP" areas are not labelled, which I kind of think is intentional. Several times I sat down in what seemed like a nice spot, but which turned out to be an unlabelled VIP area only to be rousted by an employee. Of course that feels embarrassing, and after it happened a few times, it occurred to me that it's probably the point. I think the organization wants you to feel like spending several hundreds of dollars a night is embarrassing, when you should be spending several thousands of dollars a night instead. If that were not the goal, the VIP areas would be clearly designated as it would free employees from having to continually kick people out, which seemed like a constant process. My room was on the first floor down a kind of creepy hallway. It was big, but it wasn't particularly new or updated. The shower especially felt kind of old and grimy, like I was going to get a foot fungus in there or something. All of the in-room toiletry products smell strongly like cheap mens cologne. I washed my hair with the provided shampoo once, and had to rewash right away with a product I'd packed because my own hair smelled nauseating. I don't know why they wouldn't choose a more neutral scent so it might be more acceptable to both genders, and to people who don't like strong fake scents. It's the Hard Rock franchise, so music is obviously one of the features, but there is so much loud music coming from so many different speakers everywhere, all different songs, along walkways, at pools, at vendors, it's often clashing and kind of annoying. There is NOWHERE quiet in this whole place, if you just want to sit by a pool and read or something. It's like this constant cacophony any time you're not locked in your own room. Overall this place just felt a bit sleazy to me. I spent a lot of money (for me) to come here, and I don't feel like I got the value and service I expected. At least the weather was nice.…
The Hard Rock In Punta Cana is by far our favorite vacation destination. This facility is spotless, beautiful and a true non-stop ride...I need a vacation from my vacation. The list of the to-do's is a mile long and everyone is exceptionally nice and engaging. My diet was wrecked from all of the delicious foods and the variety of restaurants. This is the true WOW factor. You can't walk 50 feet without some type of food offerings, even at the pool, shopping mall or even outside the casino. We can't wait to go back at Christmas for another visit.
Pools clean and lots of pools for different activities!, and lots of room. Beautiful beach with a great view. Good music. Fast and friendly service. Great service! Overall amazing experience! Good music. Kid friendly!
Fun resort, a little to big, would prefer better ac in restaurants! Rooms are great, beds are comfy a few more elevators would be helpful (each end of buildings). Appreciate you can smoke everywhere outside and are not outcasted for smoking! All around a good trip
Ramon at the central pool is amazing. And Rudy who drives the trolly also amazing. Highlights of our day and night! The helped make our vacation phenomenal! All the staff was more then accommodating and all of them so so so nice!
This place is amazing!! Service is absolutely amazing! Couldn’t be happier with this place! Definitely coming back! The rooms, views, pools and beach are stunning!! Absolutely going to refer people to come here!!
Travelled with family of 6 with kids ages 1-8. lots od options for kids and adults. kids club is new and clean. Lots of options for restaurants and not long line ups for food options. pools and water park no need to reserve chairs lots available.
Has so much potential but save your money. The pool and access to the beach is very nice. However there are so many areas that are “VIP.” The main pool gets very crowded. The lobby is extremely outdated and dirty. The public restrooms are so gross. Our room was very nice but smelled like cigarettes. We requested to stay close to central pool and was on the opposite end of the property. The property is so big there’s trolleys provided but they do not come very often so you’re better off walking the 20 mins to the restaurants by the lobby. Lots of serves were VERY rude. Approached us with a very careless attitude. My opinion is that being that it’s such a big name they don’t have to try as hard. One cook in the Market was ridiculously rude. She threw the pot after she got my order wrong and then proceeded to roll her eyes once I asked if she could not put the Alfredo sauce with the bolognese sauce (I thought it was obvious that I was requesting two different pastas) The reason why I’m not giving it a zero is because the waiter Ramon by the pool was AMAZING. HE WAS SO SWEET AND WHAT EVERY PERSON IN CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE.…
It was a terrible experience. I do not recommend signing up for legendary, as the services are even worst than the normal was. The personal lacked information, was not kind and failed to resolve even simple thinks.
