TRS Turquesa Hotel is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere with live music and a prime location near the beach, but some guests have expressed the need for updates in the rooms and better noise insulation. While the service receives accolades for being attentive, with commendable butler service, there are mixed reviews regarding cleanliness and the condition of amenities.
Although the hotel's value for money has been questioned due to additional charges, the adult-only environment and the staff's prompt attention to guest needs continue to be highly appreciated.

Warning: Long Review
SO MUCH TO SAY! Our trip as a couple was AMAZINGLY RELAXING! This was our second visit to DR; first stay at a TRS Resort (Palladium Group). The Amstar transportation to the resort was great - always is. We were warmly greeted at the hotel and provided cool towels to clean our hands, and given a chilled coconut water and pineapple drink. Check in was very quick, and our room in building 57 was immediately ready at 1430. This is the "slow season," so I'm sure this is not always the case. They drove us to the building and took our luggage up the stairs. There are no elevators, so keep that in mind when booking. It's nice and peaceful if you're looking for quiet quarters. We found it to be walking distance to everywhere. If you have trouble walking, no worries! There is ALWAYS someone in your building to assist and call for a golf cart, make dinner reservations (yes, you need them for the specialty restaurants despite what the website says), or call maintenance.
Our room was simply beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I have NEVER had a mattress in a hotel room this comfortable in my 50 years on this earth (lol). No neck/back pain for me during this visit. Other resorts have promised turn-down service and never delivered. We had it each evening and LOVED feeling spoiled!!!! Housekeeping kept our room clean and neat (we are pretty neat and try not to leave a disgusting room for them to work with), and we were always stocked with water and coffee. We were sure to tip daily and leave a large "thank you" when we left. It's not required, but the staff here work HARD, LONG HOURS. Like, I could never. At one point, the lock on our door stopped working. Maintenance was called, and they came as quickly as possible to change the batteries and we were back in business.
Of the all-inclusives we've stayed at, TRS Turquesa has the best food we've eaten thus far. I am a bit of a "foodie," so I anticipated the usual ick factor. Feeding multitudes of people all day is no tiny feat, so I always factor this in when grading the food. The largest buffet, Las Torres, is one of the shared restaurants. Sometimes, the kiddos are not supervised by their parents, and they tend to touch things, scratch their nose, touch the serving utensils, and then go about their way. It happens! Adults do it too! Just something to consider. Regardless, we ate. There are PLENTY of options, and we really, really enjoyed our food choices. The service is WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY, AND ACCOMODATING. We always opted to tip $1-$2 USD, and then more for dinner. Again, not required, and the staff here works endlessly!!!!!
The entertainment staff really, really did their best to get guests to enjoy the activities. We stretched on the beach one morning, and it set the tone for the day. One evening, we were searching for the Bingo area but stumbled upon an evening of wine and painting with a live cellist! Better than bingo, for sure! One area for improvement would be updating the app to reflect the activities and locations. It's a bit vague; helpful, but vague. Each day they have live artists (singers, sax players, violinists). I LOVED one of the singers. Like, LOVED! I don't know his name, but DAMN! He made me want to get up and dance. My heart. They grilled outside by the main pool....look...I can't say enough, and this review has gone on too long.
I have more to say, but this is enough. We will definitely go back. This is NOT party central, so if that's what you're looking for, this may not be your spot. That may be attributed to this being the slow season, but if it is, then it's the perfect time for me to be there. Plenty of chairs, a BEAUTIFUL BEACH, clean pools, peace, calm.
As for the people trying to sell you something - just say "no." Make it clear. It's very annoying, but they are trying to make a living like the rest of us.

There are SO SO SO many wonderful things I could say about this trip and resort. Everyone is so kind, happy and excited to be apart of your experience. Our butler, JAVIER, was and without a doubt the best of the best! We came here for my birthday and my best friends birthday. He was able to decorate our room, provide cakes and more for our birthdays (while keeping it a surprise). But, that’s not even the best. During our trip we took photos in the ocean in which our phones got wet (iPhones being water resistant) and it ended up damaging our chargers. My friends phone was dead and I had about 60% left on 1 phone with 4 days left in a foreign country! We did not feel comfortable leaving the resort so Javier left and got us phone chargers! He also got us rice the couple of times we dropped our phones in the pool. He always escorted us to the restaurants and made sure we had reservations at the times we wanted. He always checked in every day, several times a day, to see if we needed anything or if he could be of service to us. If you come here definitely request Javier! As for the other staff... just as amazing. We received calls from housekeeping to make sure our rooms are up to par and if we needed anything else several times during the week. The restaurants and food were amazing. The cabaret is BEAUTIFUL and A MUST SEE. This resort is truly unlike any place I have been. All the staff wants you to enjoy your stay and they are happy to be of service. The pool and beach can get crowded so I would recommend the swim up pool rooms! 10/10 recommend staying here!!

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We recently returned from a wonderful week at TRS Turquesa. The resort is a tropical paradise. The service for the most part was great. The food is above average for an all-inclusive in Punta Cana (this was our 8th visit to Punta Cana and our 5th different resort). There appeared to be a lot of return guests so that does speak very highly of this resort.
We stayed in room #5504, a swim up suite. I'd say of our 8 visits to Punta Cana this was our favorite room. We requested a room in either building 55 or 56 and we really lucked out - our room was close to the bar that stayed open until at least 11 pm at night, and the tropical foliage at our pool was simply gorgeous.
We would get into friendly arguments with other guests as to who had the best butler but there's no doubt in my mind that our butler, Yvon, was the best. Always present to make sure our vacation was the best it could be. Such a great guy. One of the things he did was to make reservations for us at Chic Cabaret (if you're staying at TRS you have to see Chic Cabaret - what a terrific show) and then when we returned late at night after the show our bed and tub were beautifully decorated with a bubble bath awaiting in the tub.
The resort itself might be a little too quiet for some guests but you do have lots of activities going on at the other three Palladium resorts. We did get to enjoy two beach parties on the beach at TRS that were a lot of fun.
Typically we would spend the morning at the beautiful beach and the main pool and then would spend the late afternoon at the pool outside our swim up room. I timed the walk from our room to the beach and at a leisurely pace it took a little bit more than three and a half minutes. Carmen at the bar outside our swim up room was outstanding.
Amazingly, considering that we stayed at TRS during what is supposed to be their busy season, the resort never seemed that busy. We never had to wait longer than a minute to get a drink at of the bars on the whole complex, including the six beach bars and seven swim up bars. We never had trouble finding a spot at the beach regardless of what time we arrived. Waiter service at the beach was pretty good, too.
The food at the TRS restaurants was generally good. The big surprise was how good we thought the food at the Palladium buffets were. We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners at Las Torres and our lunches at the La Boho (Poseiden) on the Palace side.
I would highly recommend this resort. If you're looking for a nice relaxing vacation with excellent service this could very well be the place for you. And if you are looking for a little bit of craziness you have that available as well at the sister Palladium resorts right next door.

Firstly, I want to mention the following butlers in Block 53, JJ, Judy, Smerlin and Lewis, in particular JJ and Judy were extremely helpful, informative and friendly. They arranged for our room to be beautifully decorated for our wedding anniversary, they truly went above and beyond for us and we cannot thank them enough. We also had the pleasure of Jose at the Helios bar and Luis who worked in Helios at lunchtime and La Boheme in the evenings looked after us extremely well, we were made to feel like royalty and have never experienced service like it. All staff we have encountered at the resort have been friendly, helpful and their English has been good, we never struggled to communicate.
The grounds here are immaculately keep and beautiful, our room was kept spotlessly clean and we enjoyed having a swim up room. The TRS restaurants are fantastic, we never had a bad meal. The chateaubriand at La Boheme is a must try for everyone if you eat beef. We did try a couple of the GP restaurants and my advice would be to stick to the TRS ones, there is definitely a difference. Neither of us were ill throughout our trip and we ate everything from salad to seafood and we did no preparation before our arrival. We did use our own beach cups but this was mainly to keep the drinks cold. I witnessed on several occasions food being removed and changed in the buffets and the pool being regularly tested and cleaned.
Chic cabaret is a must, it's highly energetic and entertaining and the menu is fabulous and beautifully presented. The dancers and singers are wonderful. The beach is stunning and the spa here is fantastic.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to visit this resort, we will certainly be coming back.

Our honeymoon at TRS Turquesa was fabulous customer service was on point. The team at TRS was very welcoming and attentive. Great conversation with all employees and the pop team has a schedule of entertainment events happening through the day and night. Definitely one for the books. The private beach and water is amazing and colorful one of the best beaches in punta cana. Helios is right on the beach so you can enjoy breakfast and lunch with a million dollar view. Drinks are delicious. Their safety and cleanliness protocols are over the top I saw several rooms being cleaned with professional disinfectant machines and sealed. All employees were wearing a mask for protection. Ray was our butler and boy did he go out of his way to make our stay extra special. Thank you for everything and hope to visit soon!

TRS Turquesa hotel in Punta Cana is definitely one of the prettiest properties I’ve ever been to the beach is gorgeous the people are friendly the restaurants are absolutely beautiful the food not so great somewhere good somewhere not so good as the days went on we learned where to go and what to order we were with a group of 12 Six couples had a truly fabulous time the property is beautiful the people are so friendly very eager to please we were in building 56 and our butler was fabulous Provential. We were so pleasantly surprised coming up to our room one afternoon and had a beautiful bubble bath drawn in the tub surrounded by beautiful rose petals all around the tub and in the tub itself and a bottle of champagne on ice never even ordered it went to the Chic Cabaret show it was by far one of the best shows I’ve seen in any of the islands. The Japanese restaurant was great Helios ordering off the menu for dinner was great La Bohème Château Briand for two was great and the fondue was fabulous the Italian restaurant was very good breakfast and lunch at the buffets were very very good. The Steakhouse was not so good beef was very grissly. All in all we will be back to this beautiful resort!! For what we spent on this trip it was a great value, you really got a lot for an all inclusive. Ask for the premium alcohol because they do have it. The lobby bar is the best and the bar by Helios. They make the best mudslides. Randel butler at the lobby is awesome!!!!!!!Robert was our butler at the beach He was very attentive and brought us our drinks and food promptly a really nice guy! We will be back!!!!!!!

My wife and I really liked the TRS Turquesa Hotel. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was amazing, helpful, and attentive, and the services were as expected. First and foremost I wanted to thank Randy our butler for his attention to detail. He responded via text to every request we had and had a special surprise awaiting us when we returned one night from an off site excursion. We received the liquor we were promised and it was replenished upon request. Food choices were plentyful and we enjoyed all of them. Breakfast on the beach was one we enjoyed, lunch on the beach cooked out in the open. French restaurant was fantastic (get the Chateaubriand for two). Buffet was very large..more choices than any one person should need but nice to have options. We also had Teppanyaki dinner one night that was very entertaining. When you check in you will get a nice cocktail of your choice, a free gift and lots of attention from people making you feel like family. Also, you'll notice they have the group that sets up your return transportation and you will have a time for them to give you the time for pick up and while you are there they take 15-2- minutes going over off site excursions if you choose to get any. Nothing high pressure just a dozen or so options to consider. We ended up getting one that we loved doing. All day boat/beach/blue hole drinking cruise. Very fun. The one thing we could have done without was the 'time share pitch' from the travel club folks. They insist that you meet with them at a certain time to "give you some gifts (which would include a free couples massage)" We knew what this was a simply said NO, we are here to relax, No Thank you. He still persisted the next day saying we missed our appointment and we said no again. To the hotel... I would come back for sure if I knew the pushy travel club attendants wouldn't be lurking and following me in the lobby while I'm trying to enjoy a cocktail. This Resort was a no kids resort and we LOVED that. Some of the restaurants were families but we were able to enjoy ourselves without screaming kids all day. The resort has several pools (one hidden) that we enjoyed. They had swim up bars as well.

We are leaving TRS today after being here for the week. Our expectations were definitely met! First, the grounds themselves are beautiful and immaculately kept. The room was as expected. It’s very nice, but of course any building that close to the ocean is going to have a slight musty smell, wear and tear, etc. But, all in all we were really happy with it. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of fresh towels every day. I had requested a cervical pillow on my ebutler form, which we did not get. But, I know if I had asked for it, it would’ve been provided. I just never took the time to do it.
The food is good, but not anything to get overly excited about. Our favorite restaurants were Portofino and La Boheme for dinner. Our favorites for lunch were Capricho and Poseidon. Helio’s is okay. The view is amazing, right on the beach. We found that ordering off the menu was much tastier than the buffet. We were here with 3 other couples, and 4 out of the 8 of us got sick at some point during the week. Not sure if it was just the change of food in our systems, or if we ate something bad. We were all craving “american” type food our last night, and the sports bar delivered. The burger was great!
The service has been exceptional. The staff all seem really happy to be here and to make our trip more enjoyable. Our butler, Randy, was available for anything we needed. We just sent him a text, and whatever we needed was immediately taken care of for us. Randy handled all of our dinner reservations, and was so helpful in helping us decide where to eat.
Chic cabaret is a must see! We didn’t have to pay the $20 fee that they just started charging, because we booked awhile ago. But, we would have been happy to pay the $20! It was worth it! The food during the show wasn’t that good, so I would recommend eating beforehand. But, the performers definitely have talent and we were really impressed!
Overall, it’s been a great trip and I would highly recommend TRS to anyone looking to visit DR.

My wife and I booked TRS Turquesa for our honeymoon for March 2019 for 14 nights.
It was the most spectacular and relaxing time, more than we could have imagined. All the staff were extremely helpful and the service was truly faultless.
The atmosphere was always calm and welcoming, the bars always fully stocked with local and premium brands and the food was absolutely delicious.
It's located in a larger complex of several hotels, as you would expect for the country, but you felt secure but still integrated within the Caribbean culture. The private beach was the most beautiful white sanded, clear blue sea we'd ever seen.
Booking with TUI, the excursions we went on were varied to give us relaxation when we wanted as well as a bit of adventure and historical trips to really immerse ourselves into.
By far one of our fonder memories of the hotel itself were our bar staff, Kelvin & Manuel. They entertained us, themselves and the rest of the lobby, in addition to creating any type of cocktail depending on your personal preference - even surprising you with one of their own boozy concoctions if you can't quite make up your mind.
We're looking forward to going back to the TRS as soon as we possibly can - we cannot recommend this place highly enough!

My favorite restaurant was Portofino‘s Italian food. There food was fabulous!
I loved Helios for the breakfast buffet & the Grill poolside.
I drink wine at dinner and by the pool and beach I was drinking Bahama mamas and strawberry daiquiris and Malibu bay breezes
Yes there was… to & from the airport
Great service
I had a junior suite poolside with Ocean view, but I had a king size bed, so I’m not sure
YES, you need dinner reservations! Set them up the day you get there. Hell, set them up at check in. do your research and make reservations early.
I have stayed beachside and at a swim up in land a bit. Can't tell if one was older than the other. Both VERY nice!
You should ask on a Travel Club site. There are some on Facebook
