Recently been there with family. Everything there needs to be mentioned, be it the ambience, the abundance of trees and birds and clear sky,the lovely view of Krishna river, the calm village, very caring staff, awesome home made kind food, a warm and engaged owner Eliza who takes care of every small little thing(whom I personally came to admire a lot), the campfire, the barbeque experience, Buzo the friendly pet and Lokesh who looks after operations there, Ajay who takes care of all needs of people and Sunil too as part of their caring team. Felt like home in a much better place away from the din and hustle. Overall a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. Feel like going back soon.

When we first visited Mystic Stays on the recommendation of a friend, it was strictly planned as a weekend affair after which we'd come back to life in civilization. Little did we know that we'd have such an amazing time that we'll come back the next weekend to spend a month at this gem of a place. The place sucks you in with its pristine beauty, greenery and freshness (the AQI was consistently <10. Yes, I checked 😁) and you never feel like leaving. The feeling of being away from the hustle bustle of a city starts nearly 30-35km away from the place, when vehicles become sparse and the trees become denser. About 10 km from the place, the splendid view of river Krishna meandering in the mountainous valley is a sight to behold! You're sold before you even enter the property. The resort itself is extremely well maintained, with excellent staff who would always go out of their way to help you. The food is excellent, with mostly north indian cuisine part of the menu. You must also try their chinese (chilli chicken being my favorite) and their Maharashtrian thali (on request), which were all delicious with ample portions to satiate any appetite. The rooms are basic and clean, and have that rustic charm that you want from a place like this. There's no television and no AC in the rooms, but trust me you don't need either as the weather is chilly and the views more than compensate for the TV. There are plenty of short treks around the property to keep you busy and a hidden natural pool nearby that's completely undisturbed by crowds (for now). Ask Sunil for help and he would be happy to guide you to these trails. For those who want to use this pandemic for some much needed respite from the city and some soul searching, this place is highly recommended. There is great coverage of Jio and Airtel to keep your office running. After a hard day's work, there's nothing better than sipping tea and seeing the sun set behind the mountains right outside your room window. The resort also has a huge lawn with volleyball, badminton facilities. Indoor games like foosball and board games are all available for you to spend those relaxes evenings with family or friends. They also have a bonfire (on request) thay you can enjoy under the starry night sky. We take back very fond memories from this month long Work-From-Mountains experience. Special thanks to Buzo (the canine guardian of Mystic Stays), Lokesh and Eliza for making this the best vacation of our lives. Rest assured, that they will handle anything and go miles out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be. Highly recommended. We will surely come back for more.

Response from Mysticstays Jor, Owner at Mystic Stays

Thank you so much from everyone here at Mysticstays jor for the review Shubh. You came in as a weekend guest and took us for a shock when you decided to work from here for a month. We were happy and apprehensive at the same time as this is so far from civilization, making us wonder if you can make it for one month. You did and we are so glad that from a weekend guest to Mysticstays jor family your journey with us made us believe that places like jor can work. We have no words to thank you for all the wonderful evenings you spent with us to the uno card session to painting the restaurant wall or trying our experimental chinese. Your absence is highly missed by everyone and we are hopeful you will be back soon for some more workation sessions. And to sum up, I hope your selective amnesia helps you forget you never came here and you again start afresh by doing another round of one month stay. Thank you once again Shubh for all the lovely things you said about us and for all the lovely memories. Hope to see you soon.

Mystic stays, as the name suggests is truly a mystical place far away from all the city’s hustle and bustle and tucked in between lush green mountains, next to Krishna river in Jor village of Maharashtra. I was there for 3 weeks with a couple of friends as a work from hills experiment and it was simply amazing. The resort is spread across 2 acres of land, providing you privacy as well as the comfort of knowing you are not alone. Airtel and Jio have good internet connectivity, for those who would like to stay and work from the property. The cottages are spacious, decorated with paintings handpicked by the owner and with huge windows overlooking the river or the mountains, both views are to die for. All the rooms have attached clean bathrooms with hot water facility, and you will be provided basic toiletries. They have laundry service as well. You will wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and a view of the river Krishna, the beauty of which cannot be described by words. It’s a bird watchers paradise, as close to 40 different kinds of birds can be spotted from within the property. There is a huge open area for playing volleyball, cricket, football, badminton etc. Buzzo (the most notorious dog) will join in to play and will make your times even more enjoyable. You can also ask them for some board games. Or just sit and read a book. Everything feels more relaxing and enjoyable there For those who want to go out, they can enjoy long walks or go for treks (ask Sunil, he will take you) around Jor, with breath taking views. (highly suggested) or take a dip in the river. People are friendly. They will feed you like Indian mothers i.e. will keep serving you till the time you can’t get up, but when the food is that delicious which they prepare with a touch of the local cooking style, you cannot complain (Veg and Non veg both). All the helpers are helpful and will go that extra mile to make your stay more memorable. We spent most of the evenings at the dining area, just chatting and joking around with everyone or enjoying a drink at bonfire under the starry nights. Eliza and Lokendra Singh Rathore (the Owner and the Manager of the property) are the best hosts I have come across and made us feel like family for those 3 memorable weeks. They are available at all the times and would be delighted to assist you anyway possible. Whether you are planning a solo soul-searching trip, or wanna party with friends or spend some time with family or looking for a romantic getaway, Mystic stays Jor offers something for everyone. I’m definitely going to be visiting them again. You should too.

Mystic Stays is a perfect getaway to disconnect from the city life and relax. The property offers you with all the basic facilities like Clean rooms, Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, Good Food, Pollution free air and breathtaking view of the mountain, forest and the river. While it doesnt offer any luxurios facilities, it has all one needs. For me, getting the basic facilities was nothing less than a luxury, considering how far it is from any town. There is no Acs (not required) no TVs , no spa, no bar facilities available. This place is about 45-50 mins from wai and this property is very very remote. Extra stress on remote. Enroute to the property, you will be wondering if you are heading in the right direction. Once you get there, it will be all worth it. Eliza has done an amazing job to firstly believe that such a place must exist and secondly running this place without major disruptions to the guests. Slightly under staff i felt, yet no issues in service levels. I travelled with my three year old daughter and I didnt have any challenges in arranging non spicy food for her. In case you are travelling with someone with medical conditions, I suggest that this place may not be the right thing for you. While there is doctor on call, the closest medical store or clinic i saw was 20 mins away from the property. Airtel network works fine but Jio and Vodafone are on and off. All in all it a wonderful place and a must visit for a perfect digital detox and relaxtion.

Truly mystical as the name says. Absolute offbeat as they say. But once you reach this place you will be mesmerised by its beauty. Excellent food served fresh all the time. The staff is very helpful and take you around the nearby points and also go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. Overall I would give full marks to this place for its food, location and people.
