We spent 6 nights at this quiet hotel, which was central to all the places we visited. The room was spotless, large bed, big TV with all the channels and a door which opened onto a well-tended garden area - of course we were on the ground floor! The restaurant has been beautifully refurbished recently and serves good food very...

We enjoyed our one-night stay. We got a friendly welcome at reception. We were advised to book for dinner as it was Bank Holiday Monday. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The wi-fi was free and worked well. The 42inch TV offered a large choice of channels. The bed was large and comfortable. The 'eat as much as you...

Soooo disappointed. Having stayed at a Premier Inn in York which was sumptuous this room is smaller than a Travelodge room, and the building is not up to Premier Inn standards. A big let down Premier Inn bosses!

In the area for an event and chose this fabulous place for a quick stay over. What a great decision as the room we had was spotless and the bed was so so comfortable . I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Just one observation - I could hear road noise but nothing too off putting.

Friendly staff, nice ,clean, comfortable room and well appointed bathroom.Dinner was poor, not badly cooked just bland and expensive considering the poor quality, however, breakfast was wonderful. Anna takes great pride in her breakfasts and cooks the best poached eggs i've ever had, well done Anna and thank you..

My double was bright, modern and comfortable. It had a big wide screen TV. The receptionist was very helpful. An ideal place if you are staying in the area on business, or leisure. The restaurant attached also served excellent food.

A clean, recently refurbished hotel. However the purple glow from behind the headboard I was unable to turn off and shone throughout the night. As I like a darkened room it was not good. The hotel was clean and rooms well presented. The pub attached was fairly busy but service good. Good was average. The breakfast was adequate and the...
