I had booked this place in an instant after looking at the photos but unfortunately made the mistake of reading some negative reviews. We stayed here for 4 days and it was truly amazing. Right from check in to check out, we were completely taken care of. The location is why you'll book the place, but you'll end up having a great time because of the service that the staff constantly provided. 24*7, their staff will be at your service, putting you first and ensuring they do everything to make your stay comfortable. The food is absolutely delicious (try all the local items on the menu) and the price is unbelievable for a resort that offers something that money can't buy - service that I can't fault. We had a great time and will definitely come here again. Just a few pointers - 1. If you have an issue with insects/bugs, please don't book this place. The resort is located ON THE BEACH and the beach is home to many insects too! They're not harmful and just want to coexist with you. The concept of the resort is to blend with nature. 2. Let the staff know your plans and they wil arrange everything for you at rates that are far lower than what the market offers.

My friend and I had a great 3 nights stay here - we stayed in the Alamaba cottage which was spacious and very comfy with a huge bathroom. The staff were incredibly lovely and while they don't sell alcohol on site they can send someone out to get beer and wine. I also managed to leave my laptop behind when I check out and they sent it to me by courier and I had it back within days. So I'm eternally grateful to them for this.

One of the worst places to stay - the area is unkept, the food is beyond horrible (they ask for one hour to prepare and then got all the wrong dishes which are not even palatable). Will not recommend. Overpriced for the little it offers in terms of comfort and quality. The beach nearby is the only solace.

We checked in last week of dec and had booked three rooms for two nights. Here is the list of our challenges/dissapointments during our stay of two days which felt like eternity. We paid premium due to xmas week and were impresses by so many positive reviews and *photoshopped* website pictures. 1. Through our agent, we were confirmed the best rooms but we were literally dumped into the annexe rooms which either you walk through the deserted road or through a dirty section of beach across two houses. With three kids and elderly parents this remained a challenge throughout. 2. Upon reaching our rooms we experienced a different challenge in each room in terms of basic expected facilities. One room had intercom others didn't. Second had just bath towels and no hand towels. Third had only hand towels no bath towels. 3. Since the hotel is far away from other resorts or restaurants, we decided to dine in. Here began the next set of challenge. An hour notice to make food so we asked for quantity estimation as it would be impossible to add on later. They said one plate of noodles was enough for three kids, our qtys are large so we went by that estimation when ordering food. Chicken was promised boneless as we wanted for kids. When we got our food.... We were shocked.. Noodles could just feed one kid! Chicken had just bones with minimal meat on it as if it was remanants after taking out boneless pcs and fish in banana leaf came just a slice with gravy on it. Dal had lumps and rotis were hard. Ended up returning most of the food. Reordered noodles which took 1hr again so consider the plight kids went through! 4. Red insects all over the pillow and sheet in one room was another experience, best not talked about! 5. When we checked out... I was apalled to see returned food billed. Also utterly shocked to see extra 2 water bottles billed. When we had paid extra for two kids above age of 8 shouldn't the rooms have had two extra water bottles for them in the first place! Only good thing was the view but that you can get at many other places so dont waste your time and money going there! Beach also gets full of village boys playing and smoking after sunset making it challenging to leave kids to play in the sand. Not to forget some stray dogs enjoying beach sun! Hope this helps you to take a call.

We travelled with my 11 months old son..First they took us to a room.which had lizard droppings in bed and the floor was sticky..we asked to clean the room.but the worker was very rude..in extra bed provided it was very unclean and I could see lizards droppings all over .I got amazed since I specifically mentioned this was for my son..Next they took to another room. We asked to clean the room again..but the worker for the namesake cleaned and told it's tough to maintain.and compared to first room reptiles were less..In the night we took shift since leaches falling from roof ..yes yes..I am not exaggerating..The bathroom is open air.. Only thing to look is view..view was spectacular and food is also good..and other that the resort has to improve alooooooooottttttttt.... see if they are asking this much price per day..they have to try to give some time for maintenance..

We stayed at Azure tides for two days this month. At the outset I would like to compliment Mr Rejil who made our bookings and provided me with all support and information and accommodating even the smallest of our demands. Thanks Rejil! All the villas have direct front facing access to the beach as claimed and are tastefully done in a rustic kerala old world charm.Big enough to accommodate even 5 people comfortable. We stayed in a cottage called Alabama.Has a huge bay window,a nice open walled in toilet...which adds to the charm and although open...it's perfectly safe and private. All villas have covered sit outs and plenty of beach chairs in case you want to lounge around. Good homely food was provided, although a little spicy for the kids but I guess being in coastal kerala we can expect the hot flavours 😅 The beach is pristine, and u can just walk into it anytime...very private...just some odd fishermen tending to their nets...the sea was off limits for fishing during our stay..so we missed the fishermen bringing in their catch...that wud have been a sight to see. You can walk along the beach towards both sides for some distance...of in a mood for exercise. And there's a outside shower too...to get all the sand off before u need enter your rooms The place is well managed, housekeeping staff were very efficient and helpful There's no bar but help is at hand😁 There is good net connectivity...so no issues on that aspect..if you are a person who can't live off the grid 🤪 A special thanks to the Manager..Mr Arun and Ms .Nayana,Alex,Unni and few more good souls...who made our stay very memorable...always helping and accomodating even the slightest requests you make. Breakfast was a decent spread consisting of mixed Indian, south Indian and continental I would recommend this place if you need some private time and solitude, just to laze on the beach and enjoy with family or friends or even alone... We shall definitely return Thanks again Mr.Arun and Team. God Bless! Best wishes to Azure Tides. Dr Ramesh and Family

Beach resort in the literal sense - imagine staying 10 metres from the waves - well at Azure you get to do just that. Small is big is something that I believe in and Azure proves it right. Spacious heritage style cottages, bang on the beach, delicious food and good service makes this cute boutique property one of my favourite picks. Ideal for all segments and all age groups.

We booked 2 nights directly with the property for 7k/nyt incl breakfast which I thought was a reasonable price considering we were promised a beach front villa! Yes, it’s 15mins from the Alleppy backwaters so u can have d best of both worlds sea/beach & houseboats! The GM Mr. Arun is a local knowledgeable man who understood our requirements well & was a pleasure to talk to for hours on our private sit out in d varandah of d cottage. The food was super good, fresh catch seer fish was served wrapped in a banana leaf smeared with Kerala masala, along with some local chicken dish & fresh calamari with fat local Kerala rice! We stayed at the Alabama cottage which am guessing is the biggest cottage amongst all. Initially we were taken aback as the view of the sea from the cottage was compromised with local fishermen boats & nets along with stacks of dried palm leaves when compared to uninterrupted views from some other cottages occupied by other guests. But the v.size of our cottage in addition to an uber big semi open en-suite with open to sky shower (reminded me of Bali) convinced us that the compromised view can be compensated by walking 5 steps out of your room out on d Omanapuzha beach & eventually watching the fishermen’s routine & witnessing what was their catch of the day unloading right in front of u became an add on experience. The outside open areas were broomed regularly of all the dried leaves etc. by the dedicated staff, however our private sit out area was not cleaned until requested which needs the management’s attention. The Marari stretch is frequented by foreigners due to the clean secluded beaches hence you will find quite a few 5 star resorts on this stretch. We can definitely have a functioning beach facing Ayurveda spa here to complete the Kerala experience along with a half day cruise in the Arabian Sea wd packed lunch as Azure Tides USP in future!
