Mararikulam has a very clean, serene sea beach. Very peaceful and great place to relax. Make it a must visit when you're in Kerala. To add to this experience a WOW factor, you need to stay at the house of Binoy - Marari Sea Scape Villa. I am short on my words to describe the hospitality offered by Binoy. Stayed there in last weekend with family.

Pros:
- Very close to beach, just 50-100 mtrs.
- Big and clean bedrooms and restrooms. Clean bed sheets, towels and big beds.
- Powerful AC (it was very hot and humid in kerala already) without any noise.
- Nicely cooked food (coconut oil as well as refined oil, whatever you need).
- Wi-Fi (if you really need it).
- Beautifully decorated sitting area where you can relax.
- Always smiling Binoy and ready for any help at any time (local transport booking, houseboat at minimal price).

Cons:
Absolutely Nothing!!! At this is the best part.

The day we reached Kerala, it was a Strike. Binoy informed me that before I started even from Bangalore. In the morning when we reached at Alleppy railway station (around 05:30am), I could see that he is present with his Jeep and he had not charged for it. Just for our safety, he came 12-14 kms in early morning.

The houseboat for day trips, named Gloria was also booked by Binoy, and it was a great experience. Very Nice houseboat - in very reasonable price. He allowed us early check-in and late check-out without charging anything extra (obviously because rooms were free for that day).

There are totally 4 rooms equal in size, we had booked 2 of them.

Recommended for everyone, visit and enjoy every bit of it.

This homestay is few steps away from beach, may be 100 mtrs or so. The AC rooms are clean and have 24 hrs hot water supply with good green surroundings. Because it’s green all around you might encounter small insects and bees around post sunset so be careful and do carry any anti-mosquito lotion or likewise gels or lotions to avoid any allergies if you are prone to. The caretaker here is very friendly and hospitable and even the food was quite tasty. Breakfast was included with the stay package and if we wanted to order dinner or lunch we had to place the order 3-4 hrs before. For dinner, we ordered chilly prawns, fish curry, veg kurma with chapatti and rice followed by an instant desert request we placed which was served at its best with the sweetest pineapple we’d ever had.

Fabulous home stay. We only stayed one night, should have stayed longer. Clean, comfortable with helpful, friendly staff. Only 100m from a beautiful clean beach and the warm waters of the Arabian Sea. The rooms are modern, air-conditioned with good bathrooms and hot showers. The location, price, service and facilities are excellent and the breakfast and dinners cooked by the family cannot be faulted. Try it, you will love it.

Our family of 4 stayed an entire week at this facility. Simple but with all the essential services. Clean and spacious rooms with bathroom and terrace. The beach only a few meters away. The owner and his family are very nice people that helped us with all the activities we wanted to do: aryuvedic massages, elephant ride and backwater boat trip in Allepey. We had all our meals here and we enjoyed the delicious homely food. We had a wonderful stay and surely recommend this place to everybody.

Marari beach is one of the last few hidden gems in Kerala and Sea Scape Villa is a great place to explore the beach from.

The property is 3-5 minutes walking to the main beach. The beach itself is gorgeous and relatively empty. The waves though are large and toss you around a bit. It wasn't very safe for my small kids. But if you're a capable swimmer then it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Binoy and his wife Jassi are great hosts. Sea Sacpe's is a comfortable property with immaculate bathrooms and delicious food (best food I ate while we were in Kerala). We got a great deal on booking.com for Rs 2500/night. Given how well priced this was I didn't expect luxurious accommodations, but was pleasantly surprised at how neat and hospitable the place was.

If you're on a tight budget, looking for great food and a comfortable place to spend the night then this is the place for you.

So over three weeks of going around kerala this was our favourite spot. The beach is stunning, huge and it is no where near as busy as the others in kerla.

The staff are great, the main man there, Binoy, will get you local rates on rickshaws and really helped me out of a tough spot I got in to when I lost the key the rental scooter ( this is also a good idea as long as you don't lose the key! )

We stayed for 2 nights in 2 of the rooms at Marari Sea Scape Villas.

The hosts were very helpful from day 1. They helped us find the place and were always available when we needed things like the wifi or a/c being turned on, or beers being chilled well before dinner.

We ate two dinners here as well, both were delicious, the second dinner in particular was one of our best in Kerala (we had prawn curry and a lot of different vegetable side dishes). It's clear that they can cook a variety of meals and we were sad we weren't sticking around to experience more.

Location of this guesthouse is perfect. Not only is it 3 minutes walk from the beach, it's next to the only beach restaurant in town, which was perfect for lunches.

Rooms were basic but clean and spacious. a/c is available if needed. Each room has an outdoor seating area.

Overall we really enjoyed our time there, this place provided serious value, we would definitely recommend it.

Stayed here recently just for a night and really enjoyed it. Very good price.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom. There is no tv in the room but who needs one when you have the beach pretty much right on your doorstep. There are places to sit right outside the room specifically for those in each room and a hammock on each corner, a great pace to just enjoy life and relax.
As mentioned the beach is really close, can be seen from the villa. Very idyllic, quiet beach.
The staff are extremely accommodating; they will look after your bags for you even if you're not staying the night, they arranged 2 rickshaws for us (for reasonable prices) and were happy to let us use their phone and laptop for free. What's lovely is that they keep everything in the family, even the rickshaw driver was related to the owners. They were very friendly and we had some great times with them, chatting and the like.
My only quiff would be the food; it wasn't bad, just not as tasty as hoped and there wasn't a huge choice on the menu (especially for vegetarians). However it was presented very well (in candlelight!) and you received a lot of food for the price.
Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and would recommend it to all.

I visited this homestay on 18th nov 2014. This is a new property and i had the privelege to be amongst the first people to visit it. An ideal location just 100 mtrs from ocean, offers the best in terms of luxury, food and stay.
Location. Loc just 100mtrs from ocean and around 200mtrs from main road.
Rooms. The rooms were spacious and offered luxury a good five star hotel can boast off. The rooms have been designed very aesthetic and tasteful going into minute details by Mr Binoy the owner. It has a seperate
dressing room. The bathroom is spacious but offcourse lacks bathtub.
Surrounding. The lawns outside have got hammock where one can easily idle out and relax.
Food. The owner's wife cooks great food both local or even north indian. I am punjabi and my wife wanted some north indian food as we were fed up of eating local food. The owner ensured that we had the best of food and organised a PRIVATE CANDLELIGHT DINNER and swept us away with his services and courteous behaviour.
Parking space. The property has a private parking space.
Overall a great experience and would surely love to stay over there.

Thanks a lot for making us feel like home.
Ashutosh

We were leaving literally around the corner but came one night for dinner with a friend who was staying there. We ended up having a lovely time: the food cooked by Binoy's wife was delicious and good value for money. Will surely visit again!
