If you are looking for 100% calm, recovery and relaxation, this is the place! The staff is helpful, smiley and good-hearted to make you feel like at home. We ate amazing dinners with plenty of AWESOME Keralan food, the room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom has a clever natural design (you're in the middle of nature) and the bed felt like a well-being cloud. There are only a few rooms/appartments on this property so it's the best choice in Marari to stay somewhere nice, off the beaten track. The short walk tp the beach is beautiful. Mayas Beach House was a treasured discovery! Stayed there on the last leg of the trip to Kerala in December 2019. It is walking distance from the very clean and quiet Marari Beach in Alappuzha. Kishore, who owns the boutique property, takes personal interest in making his guests comfortable. Ably aided by the very pleasant staff team - Vidya and Lizzy, who multitask to cook and keep the place clean for the guests. Meals are freshly prepared in the local Kerala style as per the guests request and served hot straight from the kitchen! Highly recommended this place and their home cooked food when in God’s Own Country!

The Host Mr Kishore makes sure that all your needs are promptly attended to... right from the enquiry stage all the way to the end. Great location (100 mtrs fm a pristine beach) / option of booking an entire villa ( 3 bedrooms / which at the same time ensures privacy too) / homely environment / the keralite breakfast by the host's wife Maya are the major plus points.

Excellent hospitality, very courteous staff, excellent food and ambience. Had loads of fun at the beach which is a little distance away. Mr. Kishore and the staff made us feel very comfortable and the kids were always occupied with the pool or outside. We were a large group and we were provided abundant bedding to make us all feel comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mayas, a small and cosy beach home just a 100 ms away from a neat and uncrowded part of the Mararikulam beach..The USP of the place is twofold. One is the nearness to the beach for those who want to spend lots of time watching sunrise and sunset and take walks and relax and that's exactly what we ended up doing. The other one is the warmth and involvement of the owner and host, Mr. Kishore. Very few resort owners actually stay on the property and take care of every single need of the visitors the way he does. We really had the best time talking to him and following his suggestions while taking trips outside. He also arranged for a lovely boat ride on the alapuzha kayal. Our 4 year old daughter literally considered the place her second home for 2 days!
The rooms and washrooms are very clean, well maintained and contain the necessary facilities. The food is minimalist but tasty. The rooms miss a kettle but teas and coffees are prepared whenever you ask for it.
Don't go there expecting 5 star facilities and a 24 hr multi cuisine kitchen. But if you want a comfortable stay near the beach this is just the place for you!

We had booked 4 rooms for 6 adults and 3 kids which was like booking the full resort to ourselves. The host, Mr Kishore was there to welcome us to the property. We were immediately shown our rooms and were helped with the luggage. The property has a small plunge pool (which was enough for all of us to get in), a nice lawn, a dining arrangement outside the kitchen (we had a great time partying there).
Mr Kishore was very helpful in recommending good restaurants around. He gave us a good insight on the local culture and tradition. We had a great time chatting with him.
Pros 1. Service was top class 2. Food was outstanding. Our group was a mix of vegetarians and non-vegetarians. For dinner Mr Kishore had got most of the items from some other restraurant. The fish (fresh Karimeen) was fried by a sweet lady in the property's kitchen. 3. Breakfast was something that we cannot forget. The best idiappam and egg curry we had during our trip. Superb food 4. Beautiful beach just 100 m away 5.Kids had ample space to run around in the lawn 6. We played music till late night outside in the dining area.. and we had a great relaxing time.
Cons: With little bit of investment, the property can become a 4 star boutique holiday resort. Following things need serious attention 1. Bed linens had stains in the all the rooms. 2. Rooms and bathroom had foul smell. 3. Curtains were dirty in the all the rooms 4. Wardrobes require some maintenance 5. bed side lamp shades can be retired
However the food, location, Mr Kishore & team's outstanding service made the one night stay the property worth.

We stayed at the Mayas Beach House for 4 nights at the end of our very busy trip around North and South India. The accommodation was spacious and very clean with an amazing shower; open to the stars. Mayas Beach House has beautiful gardens offering seclusion and peaceful tranquillity. However,the best was still to come, the hospitality was second to none, Kisxore and Maya looked after all our needs from a morning visit to the beach fish market, the home cooked food showed off the Kerala experience with perfectly cooked dishes, and such a variety. Cannot praise the Mayas Beach House enough and their hospitality. Definitely recommend for couples and family, beautiful beach 100m from the house. Will definelty return. Ian & Gill

We stayed at Maya's beach house for 2 days. We had a wonderful time here. Kishore the host was very accommodating and welcoming. Took care of all our needs. Highlights - yummy food, even better than restaurant food, we ended up eating at the homestay most of the time. Clean rooms and good service. The beach is just 100mtr from the homestay, clean unlike the main beach which is crowded and dirty. I would recommend this place if you want to stay close to nature and is a beach lover.

We reached late at night and it was after a long journey on a two stroke bike. We were looking for a cozy place near the beach and Mayas boutique was a good decision. It offers a pool and a quaint cottages to relax. But that's not what's special here, it's the comfort and non-invasive attitude of the owners who are always there for you. Also Ms Maya has some great culinary skills that would also keep you busy licking fingers.
