Allwin and Jency are fabulous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they’re always there to help. The area is one of the more peaceful in Kerala but that said there is still plenty to do from back waters tours to massage therapy. The beach is a short walk and not crowded at all with only one major resort on the beach road. There are a few beach cafes serving simple food at a relaxed pace but if your in a hurry why would you be on a beach in this glorious country. Food: Jency prepares and cooks breakfast and dinner. She is a skilled and accomplished cook. Breakfast each day was different from the last and equally as tasty with local specialities alongside fresh fruit and fresh juice. Dinner again focusses along local cuisine and with a abundance of really fresh fish in the…
This was my third visit to this Garden Eden in Kerala. I don't find any superlatives that I haven't already used. But now there is the additional building of the Mandaram Villas, just a few steps away from the lonely beach. I tremendously enjoyed the boat ride in the Backwaters of Allepey, with the highlight of a spectacular sunset. Allwyn and Jency accompanied me and we had a truly memorable afternoon. Everything else, the room, the pool and the food were of the highest quality as mentioned in my past reviews.
We stayed five nights at Marari Dreamz, over New Year 2019/20. We had a fabulous time. The food was amazing, the rooms were large and comfortable, and Allwyn and Jency were fantastic hosts. The property was well located, near the beach, and the pool was lovely and cool. I cannot speak highly enough of this lovely hotel - just go and see it, you won't regret it. Thanks A&J - come and see our place in France :-)
Allwyn and Jency cater for your every need, from delicious food (best I’ve eaten in India) to organising a local excursion to Alleppy or further afield. Marari Dreamz is a place for total relaxation. The gardens are immaculate and abundant, the pool a welcome retreat. Rooms are large and spotlessly maintained and meals are provided with courtesy and a smile. Whilst walking around the village, you’ll be greeted by friendly faces. Bicycles are also available. The beach is a 5 minute walk. I would recommend the rejuvenating massages to complete your stay.
Alwyn and Jency are the best hosts ever, they are kind and thoughtful. The food is delicious and nicely presented. Their communication with all our questions before arrival were answered and very helpful. They have lots of ideas for things to do in the area. The swimming pool is really lovely and clean; the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is even a fan outside on the patio. There is a lovely seating reception with lots of books and a cool place to sit as well as a cosy corner in the shade by the pool. Being served our meals on the patio was lovely. I particularly loved the ayurvedic treatments recommended by Alwyn & appreciated the lift on the scooter! That was fun. There was a mosquito repellent in the room but like everywhere we came across you need to wear spray…
