Even before I arrived at this beautiful place I felt it would be great because of all the support and help Allwyn offered me before I arrived, to make sure my mini tour of Kerala went well. My expectations were exceeded ! The accommodation here has a great location near to pristine Marari Beach, and a nearby market, temple, church, and amazing fish market. . The welcome is warm and super friendly. Each little villa is charming, with its own private pool, and all the amenities you need. There is both air conditioning and a quiet roof fan, so take your pick! The room has tea/coffee facilities and bottled water. The bathrooms are so lovely, partially open air, and with lush greenery. It only gets better! The hostess, Jenzi, is a master cook, and prepares for you a full and…
Wonderful stay with Allwyn, Jency and the staff! From the moment we booked the stay until we left, Allwyn have been so helpful. We arrived in Marari early in the morning and Allwyn helped us check in despite it being before sunrise. We got a small introduction on what to do around Marari which was a nice gesture. The property and rooms are beautiful and well preserved. The staff cleans the property every morning and it feels like you are in a small jungle with all the greenery. Breakfast and dinner is provided by Jency who is an amazing cook, best Kerelan food we tasted. She also offers cooking classes for those who’s interested! Over all a great stay and I recommend everyone who travels to Marari to stay with Allwyn and Jency (and their super friendly dogs)!
I recently enjoyed a 5 night return visit to Marari Dreamz after spending the same amount of time at Mandaram Villas. Both properties are owned and run by Allwyn and Jency. Each stay was equally enjoyable. At Marari Dreamz I chose the very private Sky Villa which does not have a private pool but seeing all the other rooms do have pools I had the main large pool to myself……..Yah! Nothing is too much trouble for Allwyn who was the perfect host as always and Jency is so lovely and makes the most delicious food in Kerala. I love animals and was happy to spend time with the dogs but rest assured there is a closed area for them if you are not keen. The weather in November was perfect, not too hot so ideal for walking or cycling around the village or to the beach. I can’t wait to…
Marari Dreamz is fantastic; the rooms and facilities are perfectly sized and very clean, and the private pool with our villa was a god-send. The real highlights though are Jency's delicious meals and Allwyn's travel suggestions. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Homestay every day and the variety of dishes Jency serves made eating in India both stress free and a true highlight. Allwyn is super helpful with setting up excursions (the backwaters are a must visit), and you must also go for a cycle ride to Alleppey. 100% would recommend Marari Dreamz.
This was the first stop for my wife and I on a trip around Kerala. On arrival the owners spent time with us to explain activities in the area and then showed us to a large and comfortable room. My favourite feature was the beautiful shower - while very private, it was open air and had luscious foliage all around it. Another wonderful feature was the breakfast and dinners - all cooked onsite by the excellent Jency. Authentic Keralan fish, meat, chicken and vegetable dishes were all superb, and she very kindly showed us several creative combinations of local ingredients and techniques. Lastly, the dogs and cats also deserve praise as they were all very polite and friendly throughout.
We were looking for a place where we could relax for a few days. Marari Dreamz was a dream come through ;) We stayed in the Cashew Villa and really enjoyed our stay there. The food that Jency made for the breakfast and dinner was delicious and different every day. Allwyn knows a lot about what to do in the area and helped us with planing our day when we where not in the pool. It was a pleasure to talk with him and he made sure we where as comfortable as we could be. It’s really a place we would come back to!
My wife and I stayed at marari dreamz (we had a villa and a private pool). Thanks to Allwyn and Jency for an unforgettable experience. They are super helpful, friendly, and cook amazing breakfasts and dinners (some of the best food I've had on our Kerala trip). The beach is a short walk away and highly recommend waking up for sunrise to watch the fisherman. I wish we had stayed longer (we had only two nights) - Marari is super chill, one could easily stay a week. Look forward to coming back!
It was my second trip to Allwyn and Jency's beautiful homestay after 10 years of being away and it was more lovely than ever. What a lot of work had been done to make it more of a retreat than it was before without it losing its charm. My two friends and I arrived long before check in time but the couple still gave us breakfast and teas and coffees whilst we waited. The reception has been turned into a cosy hideaway with lots of books, comfy seats, music and trinkets where one feels properly chilled out. We also had a shared pool to dip in with stunning lush vegetation surrounding it and clear fountains flowing into the pool. Our room had so many lovely touches with a unique bathroom that had a tree growing through the roof giving such a tropical feel that having a shower was…
Simply Amazing, most memorable stay!!! Allwyn & Jency's hospitality made our stay at marari dreamz absolutely delightful. Awesome food cooked by Jency herself, served with elegance, friendly atmosphere, clean hygienic rooms, bathrooms & super clean pool!!! Nobin & benil helped with housekeeping & serving meals with a smile always. Super friendly doggos & kittens made our day bright. Cycles provided by Allwyn ,helped us explore d village. We left with the feeling of leaving behind friends & home! Would love to return soon.
This was an absolutely brilliant guesthouse with a gorgeous pool, exceptionally good breakfasts and dinners and the loveliest hosts. Our children adored it as well and are very keen to return! I really can't rave about the meals enough - the breakfasts were full of Keralan specialties and delicious fruit. We ordered dinner both nights we stayed and highly recommend this. We sat on our peaceful balcony and enjoyed an absolute feast - grilled mackerel, seared tuna, cabbage with coconut, chili paneer, freshly made popodams and rotis. All so good! Allwyn and Jency were completely charming in every way. I had many email exchanges with Allwyn before we arrived and he always answered promptly and helpfully. The location is perfect as well with only a 5-7 minute walk to a…
