Property's Favourite Review
We have just spent 6 magical days at Marari Dreamz . Our expectations of the place were very high having read the glowing reviews before we arrived but they were exceeded! It is only when you are there you appreciate what a very special place it is created with love and attention to detail.
We stayed in Redstone Villa with its own pool and surrounded by lush vegetation.It was spotlessly clean on arrival and maintained that way during our stay.
Allwyn & Jency welcomed us so warmly and along with all the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed and this was all done with the warmest smiles.
We loved using the pool, swimming in the sea off the local beach, cycling around the village lanes being greeted by friendly locals, watching the fishermen bring in their catch and eating Jencys amazing food (this was a highlight!) Allwyn is happy and on hand to arrange activities further afield if you wish but we were only too happy to relax and enjoy Marari.
We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and can highly recommend - it really is a place of smiles & dreamz!!

We concluded our trip of South India at Marari Dreamz which was the ideal place to relax. The resort style villas are modern, clean, comfortable and safe and within walking distance to Marari Beach. This is one of the best clean beaches in South India which offers an expanse of sandy beach. Each morning fisherman set sail on traditional man-made boats to secure their catch of the day.
Marari Dreamz is managed by Allwyn and Jency, who have years of experience in tourism and hospitality - so much so that you feel part of their family. I personally fell in love with their dog Chengu.
They are both generous, honest, kind and will even offer cooking classes. Jency cooks an array of fresh dishes daily which inspire you to continue cooking back home (she'll even provide the recipes).
Allwyn and Jency will inform you about activities available in the area and will arrange any transport, bookings and ticket requirements that you may need.
Allwyn took us to an incredible sunset spot along Marari Beach which was truly memorable.
You can enjoy a trip to a working coir factory where you will see how coconut husks are turned into beautiful floor mats, visit a traditional Ayurveda home for an authentic massage using natural organic oils (off the beaten tourist path), take a shopping trip to the hustle and bustle of Alleppey (The Indian Coffee house is worth the visit), or enjoy a cruise on Kerala's beautiful Alleppey backwaters in a traditional 'kettuvallom.'
I would most certainly stay here again.
FEATURES:
Large bedroom with air conditioning and ceiling fans;
Large bathroom with warm water;
Free wifi;
Option for private pool or use of general pool;
Clean and tidy grounds;
Incredible fresh homemade cooking;
Walking distance to the beach;
Close to traditional Ayurveda treatments;
Safe and secure at all times (including a safe in your room);
Clean the rooms daily with fresh towels;
Numerous books to read!

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We researched the area carefully before making our choice. Marari dreamz received the best reviews of all of the places we shortlisted by far. You never quite know until you arrive just how accurate the reviews you've read are, but we were not disappointed.
The first thing to be said about the resort is that the Alwyn and Jenci, our hosts, are what make it great.They make you feel as if your the first guests who ever visited them, without being over the top. After a long flight and a not so long road trip to get to them, they new exactly what we needed; A cool and refreshing drink and a relaxing chat while they helped us to get our bearings. By the time we were ready to go to our room we were 'wowed' by what we saw. They've thought of every little detail in putting each room together and each has a character all of its own. The rooms have been organised in such a way that you feel as if you're the only guests there.
Marari Dreamz is situated in the heart of a natural environment filled with birdsong and an assortment of mature trees and vegetation. We'd come to relax and thats exactly what we were able to do. In the daytime, we spent time on the gorgeous beach, a 10 minute walk away, took bicycles and explored the village and hinterland and took a day trip in the backwaters. One day we had a relaxing massage and on another a pedicure.
Each evening when we returned, we were served the most delicious of meals prepared by Jenci. Even though there are other eating options, there's really no need to go anywhere else. The cuisine is unbeatable.
We cannot recommend Marari dreamz highly enough. We'll certainly stay there again when we return.

We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday in Kerala, the highlight of which was our stay at Marari Dreamz. This charming homestay deserves every one of its 5 star reviews.
Each of the individual villas is set in its own private garden. We had the opportunity to try most of the rooms during our stay and they are all slightly different but equally well appointed. Our personal favourite was Red Stone Villa with its private pool set in an oasis of lush planting.
Allwyn and a Jency are wonderful hosts. Relaxed and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Allwyn organised a wonderful half day cruise on the back waters on a private boat for just the two of us. Perfect! He also booked taxis, found a barber and chiropodist and arranged for us to have a massage.
We used the bikes to explore the local area and spent most afternoons on the beach a five minute walk away, swimming in a sea as warm as bath water. Here sun beds are very inexpensive to hire and there’s a small cafe for simple but delicious lunches.
As everyone mentions in their reviews, Jency is a truly wonderful cook. We looked forward with relish to our evening meals served to us on the veranda. Every day was different, each meal as delicious as the last. Breakfasts are fit for a king and despite the generous portions we always managed to finish every last bit! I even came away with a selection of Jency’s recipes to try at home.

We ( me & friend both ladies) did quiet a bit of research and found this place online. Since we are ladies travelling alone we checked the reviews in multiple portals and was relieved to see the clientele wrote very highly of the hosts Allwyn & Jency.
Once we reached at the place first we were confused as the property front didn’t boasted off much but the minute we entered the front gate it was a different story.
The property has 3 villas, one with a private pool the others can use a public pool. The villas are very spacious and clean and tastefully designed, have a patio where you can relax in a hammock or swing chair or better sit down and have a lovely catchup for hours together 😊
The restroom has a open roof concept which seems to be adopted by many other resorts here like Xandari pearl and Abad turtle beach ( both places previously stayed and reviewed)
This property is situated off the beach road with hardy 300m walk down to Marari beach, there is a bakery/ fast food shop nearby if you opt to eat out.
The food served at M dreamz was simply awesome - cooked and served with love & passion.
There are a couple of friendly dogs as well in the compound.
Allwyn also helped us get a takeaway for the night as we missed to order dinner in-house.
The hosts checked in and queried and made sure we are comfortable and have everything we need.
All in all out of all 3 resorts I stayed at Mararikulam i will defo rank this resort as #1

Dear Roopa and Roma, Thank you very much for your detailed explanation about our property and sharing it through TripAdvisor. It was a pleasure having you at our home and we are glad that you had a real homestay experience. We try our best to make our guest experience a homestay rather than a resort so that people who visits will get a chance to know what we got and what we are. We also give a chance to experience our food as well as our thoughts. Very much pleased that you had good time with us and we are looking forward to meeting you again ! Already had met Roma again as he had her second visit with her sister recently.. Wishing you all happiness for 2022 Much Love Allwyn

Well, everyone else has mentioned the food (which is superb), the hospitality (second to none), how well equipped the place is and what a great location it's in. Oh and it's also very reasonably priced. Allwyn and Jency work incredibly hard to make sure their guests have a great time and are really engaging hosts. They had some great recommendations for things to do while here including an excellent backwater tour, ayurvedic massage and (a real highlight) the trip to the local liquor store. They're in the process of setting up a second location nearby which looks very impressive if you can't get in here. Great people with a fantastic place.

We stayed 3 nights at Marari Dreamz and were made to feel very welcome. Allwyn and Jency are excellent hosts and they and the rest of the team work tirelessly to keep their guests comfortable. The breakfasts and evening meals were the highlights with the most delicious food we had in Kerala. Big thanks to Jency for cooking the feasts. We stayed in the villa with private pool and made the most of relaxing in the beautiful shaded gardens. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and has beautiful white sand and warm sea. The local village is also easy to walk to or you can borrow bikes from the hosts. We would definitely recommend a stay at Marari Dreamz. Thank you Allwyn and Jency.

From the first email communication with Allwyn I knew I had found a gem. He was responsive and made the booking process efficient and simple. On arrival Allwyn and Jency were there to welcome and greet us. After a long drive a cool fresh lime juice was offered. We sat for a few minutes in a welcoming reception area. By the time we were shown to our lovely villa, we felt like friends already. We stayed in the pool villa which was spotlessly clean and spacious. A super open air bathroom with a delightful shower under a mango tree. Air con kept the room cool and pleasant. The private garden area with the pool was lush with plants and flowers. We had arranged dinner on the first night of our arrival which was served outside in the garden. The food was superbly cooked by Jency, we were going no where else for our meals! Each evening we were served a different selection of dishes, fish, chicken and vegetarian curries. The breakfasts were equally as delicious, fresh fruit, juice and traditional Keralan dishes were served. The homestay is a few minutes stroll to the best stretch of Marari Beach. Bicycles are available, we cycled each morning around the local village, it was a delight to see the village waking up and folk going about their day. The children and locals were friendly and always were ready with a smile and wave. Allwyn arranged a sunset kayak for us which shouldn’t be missed. A great way to see the Backwaters.
There is no doubt Marari Dreamz is a special place. We enjoyed our time there immensely, we look forward to returning one day. Allwyn and Jency thank you for a wonderful stay.

Allwin and Jency are fabulous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they’re always there to help. The area is one of the more peaceful in Kerala but that said there is still plenty to do from back waters tours to massage therapy. The beach is a short walk and not crowded at all with only one major resort on the beach road. There are a few beach cafes serving simple food at a relaxed pace but if your in a hurry why would you be on a beach in this glorious country.
Food: Jency prepares and cooks breakfast and dinner. She is a skilled and accomplished cook. Breakfast each day was different from the last and equally as tasty with local specialities alongside fresh fruit and fresh juice. Dinner again focusses along local cuisine and with a abundance of really fresh fish in the area Jency delivers different fish in a variety of styles and flavours. I kid you not when I say Jency is a fine and skilful cook. If you can’t get a room here ask if you can still come for dinner. It is one of my culinary highlights. We stayed at their new place just 1 minute cycle ride away (complimentary bikes). Fully fitted out but not ready as a home stay yet but it looked and felt great with nice modern finishes and a clean pool. If like me you like a cheeky beer from time to time then you’ll need to go to the local liquor store about 2k away but if that’s too much of a trek then the big resort has a bar you can ask to use. None of the beach cafes serve beer.
In short Marari Dreamz will always be in my dreams like a little piece of heaven

I felt at home the moment I stepped in to Marari Dreamz Homestay. I stayed there as a solo traveller for three nights and it was without a doubt the absolute highlight of my trip. If you're looking for an authentic stay with interesting, kind and funny people in beautiful surroundings with delicious food - this is your place. Allwyn and Jency made me feel so comfortable from day one and helped organize at wonderful canoe trip on the backwaters and offered cooking classes and yoga lessons too. Jency cooked amazing food every morning and dinner - best food I've had in India! - and offered to send me the recipes. The rooms were spotless with pools and beach nearby. Marari Dreamz Homestay is the kind of place that stays with you and will make your trip very special, thanks to Allwyn and Jency who are the kindest, most considerate people. I will definitely come back one day!
