The Carnoustie Ayurveda & Wellness Resort, situated at the Marari beach close to the Alappuzha backwaters, comprises of 40 luxury villas, a traditional Ayurveda Spa, Two Backwater Suite in Muhamma, One Two Bedroom House Boat and a Sailing Club. The villas are designed to reduce energy and water consumption as well as minimize the use of exhaustible materials. The eco-friendly resort ensures that we use materials such as jute, bamboo, recycled cardboard instead of wood, reprocessed plastic and scrap wood. While at the resort, travellers can take lake/ backwater tours to gaze at the gorgeous paddy fields of Alapphuza, try out the early-morning yoga sessions, unwind at the beach, relax at the spa, enjoy performances by local traditional dancers and Kerala’s range of percussion music, try their hand at night fishing, cycle around villages or sail the backwaters and learn a bit of archery.

We had an a wonderful experience at the Carnoustie. Stayed for a short 5 days on the Rejuvenation package, didn't know what to expect but will definitely be back for longer! The warm welcome from Mr Jinesh and Karl was welcomed. The initial meeting with Dr Mobi was insightful and really informative. The treatments, yoga, mediation, therapies and food menu that followed over the 5 days were amazing! Never experienced treatments like these, the therapist and Drs were so good, really kind and caring. Shout out in particular to Dr Raj, Dr Mobi, Dr Molly, Dr Shona and the therapists. Also the catering staff and Mr Joseph were exceptional. Always met with a smile and respectful 😁 The accomodation was fantastic as were the facilities and the sunset in the beach was stunning. My 15-day stay and experience at Carnoustie exceeded my expectations. The ambiance, facilities, and the program design combined with the professionalism of Dr Mobi and her skilled team of therapists, the courteous and solicitous restaurant team led by Joseph, the housekeeping team and other levels of operations ensured my well-being at every turn. The healthy diet helped to redefine my relationship with food and showed me what's possible. Definitely a place where one can unwind and reinvigorate the body, mind and spirit! We stayed at Carnoustie resort for 10 days. It has been an amazing experience. We had a whole Ayurvedic detox program with therapies every day. The doctors are extremely professional and the therapists are competent and caring. We loved the morning and evening yoga sessions with Anoop- he is so passionate and can teach yoga even to a very stiff person like me! The food was phenomenal and the staff is super helpful at all time. Facilities are kept very clean and beach and pool are wonderful. Wil definitely come back

Beautiful and peaceful place in the nature with a private beach. Managed by the amazing Dr. Mobi, all the Ayurvedic staff is extremely professional and kind. Great Ayurvedic food and attention to details, the whole resort team is caring and reactive to all your needs.

Lovely property near the sea with villas spread out over a fairly large area . Went there for a detox for 14 nights and the staff are amazing. from the doctors dr mobi/shona to the masseuses harpriya/divya excellent , warm service. The food is extremely healthy based on ayurvedic principles but very tasty and there was not a repeat of a single meal in all my days there. Great massages, daily doctor interactions, yoga , gym and pool make this the perfect detox space. The villas are lovely and well maintained and with really large sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The entire experience right from arrival to the resort was great! We were met with extremely hospitable and friendly staff. Mr Joseph took good care of our dietary needs and fulfilled them! Great experience with detox program. Resort located with direct access to clean Beach. Great and healthy food. Yoga teacher (Mr Anup) was very knowledgeable and jovial who takes keen interest in teaching beginner, and advanced yoga. Dr Mobi spent great amount of time, evaluating, and providing her recommendations for healthy life, according to Ayurveda science. Also would like to thank Mr Raj who is master of healing practices who gave detailed answers to my questions and taught me special techniques for basic healing.

The most authentic wellness resort for Ayurveda & Yoga. By a private beach - the most stunning sunsets I have seen, Carnoustie resorts is a jewel of India. You will feel like this is a home away from home. Exceptional service by the kindest staff - always so eager to help and assist. We were there for a 14 day detox programme and already planning a revisit. The doctors are top class and super efficient. The chefs are top class - you will be introduced to veg delicacies like never before (they also make stunning fish & chicken dishes if not a part of detox and health programme) Their Yoga classes, Pranic healing, massages are all of such incredibly high standards. Nice experience, peaceful and calming and effectively rebalancing. Throughout our stay there were some big minuses. The diet and ayurvedic treatments were nicely executed but not personalised and not always accordingly to the doshas. Yoga was very gentle and effective, would have liked more challenging postures and more attention to different levels within the class. Overall would recommend but not come back.
