Mandaram Villas

The beach was beautiful, very quiet and only a very short 5 minute walk from the Villa. I loved the fact it wasn’t touristy but did find Fisherman’s restaurant and Sea lap for refreshing drinks. They also offered meals which looked delicious. Evening meals were always provided at Marari Dreamz also.

I am a frequent traveller to Marari Beach for Ayurveda treatment and usually stay at the lovely Marari Dreamz homestay. This time I was excited to try Allwyn and Jency’s new villas which are a short walk away from Marari Beach. I was not disappointed. The villas are brand new with lovely large tastefully furnished rooms with an enormous open-air bathroom. Each villa has its own private deck or garden area. The pool is large and deep, great for doing laps. Breakfast is included and was delicious and Jency’s local cuisine dinners were superb. The villas are ideal for families or groups of friends. I plan to come back with my family and book all 4 villas! Allwyn and Jency as always were very attentive and helpful during my stay. They are currently working on making the garden a tropical paradise.

What a find!
Right from the outset Allwyn (the owner) was really helpful; he responded to our emails promptly and always with the right information. As well as providing our accommodation he was able to sort our transfers and a number of day trips out and about.
The villas are wonderful, all with easy access to the L shaped pool. The room was air conditioned as well as having two ceiling fans, and the open skylight in the bathroom made showering very refreshing.
Breakfast served outside your room got each day off to a great start and watching the birds as we ate was a real treat. We saw eagles, kingfishers, humming birds and cuckoos, to name but a few.
The villas are well located, about 150 metres from the lovely golden beach and a similar distance to the local store. Mandaram Villas a great place to do nothing but if you do want to get ‘out and about’ a tuktuk will take you to most places. There are also bicycles you can use to visit the local village or cycle around the lanes.
The staff here work hard to make your stay pleasant and comfortable, keeping everything neat and tidy and ensuring that you have all you need. Mandaram Villas are hosted by Allwyn and Jency who go the extra mile to ensure your stay is truly wonderful. They have a homestay just an 8 minute walk away and if you eat there you will be treated to some very tasty local dishes. In fact the most delicious meals that we ate throughout our stay were the ones cooked by Jency. If you decide to venture elsewhere though there are a few restaurants nearby serving both veg and non-veg meals.
We would definitely stay here again.

What a gem in Mararikulam! After a warm and thorough welcome by Allwyn we settled in a spacious, nicely decorated, air-conditioned room. The bathroom is without a roof so in the morning you find the lovely blossoms fallen from the trees above on the shower floor. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels and water is provided. There is coffee, tea and the kettle in the room. The breakfasts are just superdelicious, a large bowl of fresh fruits, omelette or fried eggs, toast with marmelade accompanied with some tasty local specialities. The owners Allwyn and Dency give you all the attention and care, all they do with extreme love and devotion. Sometimes Dency prepares dinner which is awesome with local flavours and tastes. The Mandaram Villas has a relaxing atmosphere, with a refreshing pool and the magnificent sounds of the birds. If Mandaram Villas is full look at mararidreamz.com which is another property Allwyn and Dency own, lovely peaceful cottages as well. The host is arranging the trips to Alleppey, to the mountains, to ayurveda or homeopath upon request. He is always very generous and helpful! The white sand beach is very close, about 300 metres from the property. It is cute to see and meet the local fishermen on the beach whether taking the boats to the sea or arriving with the loads of fish from the sea. The sea is extremely warm and although the waves might seem and feel quite overwhelming, it is safe to swim there. Approximately a kilometre away one can rent the sunbeds and have lovely food in the beach restaurants. I am grateful for the hospitality we received and would definitely come back! Thank you! 🙏🏻🌞

As the title suggests, everything about this beautiful villa and wonderful hosts was perfect in every way. The location is ideal, close to a lovely part of the beach where you can watch the fishermen and walk to have a chai on a deck chair. The room itself was exquisitely designed with tasteful relaxing hues and luxurious furnishings. The huge bathroom and luxe shower were spotlessly clean with a fresh newness. There are only three rooms (so don't hesitate and miss out!) meaning there is a very chilled relaxed atmosphere and a lovely pool for a dip.
This was all beautiful, but what made our stay an outstanding experience in Kerala was the hospitality we recieved from Allwyn and Jency. Nothing was too much. Allwyn was able to help us with any issues we came with (even being shoe-less, long story), transportation, currency, guide (tour and spiritual lol) and by the end, friend. Jency and her team prepared delicious and varied breakfasts and authentic dinners making the whole experience exceptional. Booked for 1 night and stayed for 2 and will be returning soon!

Mandharam was such a welcoming place with simple yet elegant interiors, ample bedroom space and open bathroom. Common area as said by Alwyn is goin to be open soon, can't wait !!
Host Alwyn and Jenny are so friendly, met all our needs and amazing home cooked food with curated dishes for breakfast. Anything u ask for wil be ready on d table on time. We tried prawn and crab delicacies which was out of the world. To mention, it's an open kitchen were the guest can cook their own meals too.
Swimming pool well maintained and rooms were cleaned spic and span ,common areas were also maintained from time to time.
Alwyn showed us around his other properties which were good too. Planning for our next staycay there. Alwyn such a knowledgeable and a calm dude who shares so much knowledge.
Looking forward to another vacation here soon .

Mandaram Villa a perfect oasis in Kerala - a lovely blend of family 'Homestay' and high class service - the accommodation is ideal within a lush tropical setting with carefully maintained pools for a cool dip when you get too hot. Allwyn, Jency and the team are relaxed, friendly and attentive. The food is freshly prepared, varied and beautifully cooked. We used the bikes ever day to explore the village lanes, morning fish market & peddling to the village shops. We walked to the deserted beach and swam in the warm sea. Allwyn couldn't do enough to make our stay in Kerala run smoothly.

The rooms are exceptional and very large and the sandy beach and oceon is five minutes down the lane through the coconut trees.

We had such a lovely stay at Mandaram Villas. The villas themselves are comfortable, spacious and modern, with an open-air shower and doors opening directly onto the pool. A stunning, unspoilt beach is a short walk further down the lane. Allwyn, Jency and their staff are all so welcoming and helpful and they all worked extremely hard to make sure our stay was perfect. They even lent us all bikes, which proved to be a fantastic way to explore the local area. Breakfast each day was lovely and we also took up the offer of sampling Jency's home-cooked southern Indian cuisine on a couple of evenings, which was absolutely delicious. All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Mandaram Villas. You won't regret it!

Mandaram Villas was fabulous. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. It was wonderful having a clean, deep pool right outside our door. They have staff that takes care of everything for you. The cook will make a wonderful breakfast every morning and if you want they will do dinner for you also. Dinner costs extra but is VERY reasonable. The food is outstanding and plentiful. It was only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had been very busy seeing other parts of India for the first 3 weeks and this was exactly what we were looking for to relax. They arranged for tuk tuks to pick us up and take us to the fish market early one morning. LOVED that! They helped us arrange all our transport to and from the airport and houseboat we did. They always answered all questions we had in a timely manner while we were planning this from home. I really can't say enough good things about them. Do not hesitate to stay here, you won't regret it.

I am a frequent traveller to Kerala for Ayurvedic treatment and always reward myself at the end my trip with a relaxing holiday at Marari Beach. This is my second stay at Mandaram Villas (with many more to come).

Mandaram is managed by Allwyn and Jency and their amazing team. You really feel part of their family. The cook makes an array of delicious fresh dishes daily which inspire you to continue cooking back home (she'll even provide the recipes).

The villas are modern, tastefully furnished, clean, comfortable, safe and a stones throw from Marari Beach. The large pool is perfect. The open air bathrooms gorgeous. The beach is one of the best in South India and offers an expanse of sand and waves. Each morning fisherman set sail on traditional hand made boats to secure their catch. The beach sunsets are beautiful.

Allwyn will inform you about activities available in the area and will arrange any transport, bookings and ticket requirements that you may need. He is so knowledgeable and helpful. A trip on the backwaters is a must.

If what you require from a holiday is lovely villas, kind and generous hosts, amazing food, beach, total relaxation or interesting activities then you can’t go past Mandaram Villas.

Thanks for everything Allwyn, Jency and crew. Missing you all already. See you next year. x
