Room was mediocre. Dirty bed sheets, pillow covers and bathroom. Dusty curtains, rusty waist bins. Worth only half the price. Food, service and location were good. They say, they have private beach. But it's a common area where people goes for a dump and in the morning, it's full of faeces.
The property is away from city hustle bustle. They make good arrangements on special requests. Do enjoy at least one meal on the beach. Dinner is preferable. The food is really good. Rooms are clean and staff is also well trained.
It was a great experience. Nice resort. Good ambience... Nicely secluded and very near to the beach... The staff are very well behaved and cooperative... The food was also very good... Thank you for giving us this wonderful time...
My family and I had planned a trip to Marari Village Beach Resort at Alleppey and Tea Village at Munnar in April – May 2020. We had paid an advance of Rs. 20,000/- on 4th February, 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, we had to cancel our reservations on 26th March, 2020. Since March 2020, we have been repeatedly asking for refund of our money. We were communicating with Mr. Ohmkumar of ATDC (Alleppey Tourism Development Co-operative Society. We sent numerous emails and called up several times. On multiple occasions we were assured by Mr. Ohmkumar that the advance payment would be refunded soon. It is now over 20 months and ATDC has not yet refunded our money and they have stopped taking our calls/ responding to our emails. I had posted this message on 16th December 2021. I received a call from Mr. Ohmkumar on the same day, assuring me of part payment by end of December 2021. I have not received any payment yet. I’m sharing this experience, so that more people do not lose hard-earned money due to a breach of commitment.…
It was a very frustrating & disappointing experience with this resort. We had made a cancellable booking with this resort making it very clear that advance needs to be returned given due to Omicron cases were rising. (Kerala has the highest number of Covid cases as well). Due to a family member falling sick we could not undertake the trip. A rude shock awaited us when we asked for return of our advance payment. The resort simply refused to give it back completely denying the fact that they committed to give us a cancellable booking when we booked. After much follow ups they said they would give us a credit note for the advance given which could be used in a later visit. Even that they backed out of giving after committing to give it. This was very unprofessional behaviour and showed that the resort is a shady set up run by people with a small time mindset. Beware of a character called Ohm Kumar who is a total fraud. Same is a character called Jayakrishnan.…
