My husband and I stayed at the resort for two days. I was on the lookout for a small property, near the sea, quiet and peaceful. I browsed and found the Marari village resort. We arrived around 1pm on the 1st to a waiting hostess and staff eager to settle us in and ask for about our lunch preferences.
The room was om the first floor, spacious, clean with a huge bathroom and a pleasant balcony. Our privacy was assured by bamboo screens. The high, wooden roof and the tastefully placed lighting, the very efficient TV, with the wardrobe in the bathroom, gave the room a pleasant, uncluttered feel.
Lunch was piping hot,as was both lunches and dinners we had up on our private balcony. Service was quick and efficient. Clean up after meals was prompt and without calls.
The sea beckoned from just across the small road, with beach umbrellas and chairs placed invitingly around. We could order tea and snacks to be served on the beach. With two seawalls cutting it off from the stretches on either end, it was private, clean and secure. Small boats with single fishermen and small motor boats set out to sea from here.
We got to see the life of the local community, going out to sea with four elders blessing each of them and then watching them anxiously till they faded from view. The excitement and auction when the boats returned lifted my spirits just as if I had a stake in it.
I set out the next morning to sight see and ended up in a small pilgrimage, visiting the Mararikulam Shiva temple, Kanichakulangara Devi temple and the 16th century Arthungal Basilica. The small rural areas I saw were unspoilt by the various resorts and their clientele. The people went about their business, not concerned with the tourists. It was upto you to feel that you belong, after all we are the intruders.
The experience at the hotel was so peaceful and nonintrusive that my husband and I are looking forward to repeating the experience when the trails and tribulations of life overtake our peace of mind.

Marari village beach resort, being a new property is an excellent location to be at be it with family or friends or solo travel. Literally being on the beach, the resort has an amazing peaceful, warm, cozy vibe and adding on to it is the well cooked food. The beach is not touristy and one can easily relax at the beach with the resort provided recliners, snack and beverages. The resort can also organise Ayurvedic messages on request. Both the hosts were extremely hospitable to our entire family, and we are looking forward to visit again.

We’ve just spent a week at this lovely small hotel . The manager Nishad is so helpful ... nothing is too much trouble . The rooms are very clean and the ac is great . There’s a fridge and tea and coffee in the room and all the staff are very helpful . There are chairs by the beach a perfect place to watch the sun go down . Marari is a very typical unspoilt fishing village with a beautiful beach . We ate in the hotel 6 out of 7 nights and the food was excellent from the Indian food to the fresh fish . Get a tuk tuk into Alleppey to stock up on essentials is a good idea ..Mandoo comes to take lunch and dinner orders every day and is flexible and accommodating. We had fresh Dosa made especially for us at breakfast .... what a treat ... we’ll be back thank you all

If you are looking for a quiet place, a secluded beach and want privacy, this is it, this is it, this it...
Nishant runs this tiny gem, and his crew is eager to please.
The pool inside the property is entirely a bonus.
Also, don’t miss the ongoing rhythm of fisherfolk setting out and bringing their catch, and auctioning it... what you will eat is likely to have been caught in one of those boats on the beach.

We went as a group to this resort. The ambience was awesome. They have a good well maintained pool. The rooms were very specious. The lunch was so good and they have private beach side which is the highlight. The service and the staff was very kind and cordial. Night staying is more good can hear the noise of the waves.

Great beach front location. Clean grassy grounds with well maintained outdoor pool. Restaurant served very tasty Indian and local cuisine made fresh. Family of 4 had plenty of space with 2 extra beds. Large clean bathroom with excellent shower. Incredible views of setting sun and Arabian Sea. Very simplistic setting but with great WiFi... Two somewhat rickety but functional bicycles at our disposal great for exploring back roads and neighborhood. Active fishing village with friendly fishermen hauling nets going about their lives. Great photo ops! The GM and All resort staff were personable, respectful and engaging. Would not hesitate to recommend this gem to anyone that wanted to getaway from hustle and bustle and get back to comfortable basics.

Beautiful, spacious, well maintained accommodation an hour drive from kochi. There’s a sitting area next to the sea, where coffee, tea and snacks were served. The staff has been very friendly and warm. Nischal deserves a special “thank you”.Accommodated all our requests, especially for my 90 year old grandmother. There was a variety of food to select from menu and were freshly prepared after ordering. Cleanliness and accessories in toilets could be improved. Will recommend stay with family !

This is one of the most romantic beach resort I have ever booked having excellent features.

1) Spectacular Beach View is visible from the rooms at the 1st floor.
2) Beach is just outside the hotel.
3) Marvelous Swimming Pool with clean water.
4) Spacious and Well-maintained rooms with a Lobby with an impressive swimming pool and beach view.
5) Caring and Supportive staff with excellent service who also arrange dinner at the hotel ground with light classical music going around that makes the lifetime experience.
6) Food is very tasty. Even North Indian food is available. Shahi Panner is awesome.
