We stayed here for 5 nights and were spoilt from the moment we arrived . We stayed in Frangipani villa which is very spacious and has a lovely garden and pool What makes this place stand out is the superb service from George the front of house manager, John the most talented chef we have met in our 12 weeks of travelling through Southern India to the ladies who clean the villa and Benjamin who looks after the pool

My wife and I stayed at Marari Villas Frangipani for 4 weeks and then went on to the backwater on a beautiful boat for 4 nights, Olga and Rupert arranged both parts. We had a wonderful stay, but what really made the holiday were the staff, 7 in total, they just couldn’t do enough and we’re fantastic, as was the food. The villa team excel in giving you what ever you want, by the time we came to leave it was like leaving family, so well done and a huge thank you to you all, you made our trip.

Frangipani - a most wonderful Villa with two rooms and all amenities. The house is perfectly maintained, has a fresh appearance and excellent new beddings. It has Aircon which is necessary in this time of year. The house stands independent in a lush green scenery with singing birds and butterflies. The bathroom is openair, so one has to get used to that but with time it is part of this amazing Experience. The garden and pool is a heaven. There is a wonderful staff team taking so much care of your needs and Vipin makes your stay unforgettable. The food is freshly cooked and changes every day so one can taste the Kerala cuisine at its best. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes and you can see the colorful bird Kingfisher and huge eagles. The best beach in India I have seen during many travels. They have a private super clean beach area with umbrellas and sunbeds. Minimum stay of 3 nights I would recommend for indulging in this peaceful relaxing paradise.

If you want a personalised, away from it all, special boutique hotel experience, Marari hits all the right notes and is a gem of a place to stay. Communication with the owners beforehand was great and we were fortunate to be able to secure 2 villas for our stay as a family of 5. The villas are luxurious and very comfortable and provide plenty of privacy to relax in the garden with your own pool. The beach is a short walk away through the trees - just let the team know you are headed that way and magically, seating will appear for you. Unfortunately, we were there in monsoon season and couldn't swim safely but the beach attendant watched over us anxiously as we paddled/lay in the shallows and encouraged us to be careful. George and Lal, and the rest of the team at the Villas, are very friendly and professional in wanting to help you with all your needs. It is quite easy to switch off and think very little for yourselves! The villas are set back off the road and very quiet which, after some hard travels around the north of India, was a welcome respite especially for my children although the downside is there are no restaurants around. Having said that, the food prepared by the team is very good - you just miss out on the buzz and a wider choice that you would get eating out. The menu caters well for (western) children who might not enjoy spicy food as much!

Upon arrival in India from the US, I was required to quarantine for eight days. My travel company suggested doing it at Marari Villas, and they could not have picked a better spot. I stayed in Frangipini and it was both comfortable and beautiful. The A/C and wifi worked like a charm, and the beautiful garden and pool were delightful in the early morning and afternoon. The food, served three times a day, was fresh and bright and a widely varied, which is important when you are eating every meal there for eight days! The staff, led by George and Mr. Lal, was polite and responsive. The fresh flower arrangement each day in each room was a special treat. And kudos to the wonderful man at the beach who cleaned a stretch every day and put out an umbrella and lounge chair for me Thank you all. You made what could have been a painful confinement a pleasure.

The staff was very courteous. They explain to you everything you need for the stay. The owners were very kind enough to give me and my wife a candlelight dinner on the house during our stay. Overall great experience. The food was also delicious and they have a very good in-house cook to satisfy your needs.

This was my 1st visit to Kerala and that too a surprise planned by my husband for this amazing and mesmerizing place of Marari Villas. We stayed at Frangipani villa with the coziest private pool, thoughtfully and uniquely styled bathroom and open shower area and the 2 bedrooms. Our stay was made perfect by the prompt services provided by George, Jayalal, Beena, Jolly, Laly, Benny. And fingerlicking, delicious food by chef Abhilash. We had amazingly planned dinner date on Valentines day with beautiful decorations. We also had one complimentary boat ride at Alleppey backwaters, and sunset drinks at the beach. The foremost important thing for me was such proximity of the beach literally takes 3-4mins walking to reach with serene beauty of the sand and sea.....and no one around. Not to be scared of as our beach attendant Benny took care of us with arranging umbrella and couches and helping us click our pics too. The most important thing to mention is the sanitization and safety precautions followed during this covid era. I would summarise, this was the best ever beach vacay I have ever imagined of and would highly recommend to all of u there interested to laze around at the beach and the private pool. It was worth staying here.

Marari Villa was our last stop in our family vacation to Kerala. Having visited Thekkady, Munnar, the houseboat in Allapazu , our expectation of our beach stay was very high. We reached the villas in time for lunch from the houseboat. While we were expecting the villa to be on the beach side, we realised that it was in a village. Later, in one of the chats with the owner, Olga we came to know that the beach side villas had washed out in a storm. We were warmly greeted, with sumptuous lunch. The manager was extremely helpful in ensuring that all your needs are taken care of. The villa has a beautiful private courtyard with a hammock and a small little pool. The rooms are clean and very tastefully designed. They have recreated the old Kerala architecture to perfection. The energies in the house and the villas is so positive that you are energised during the stay. The village also has a toddy shop from where you should definitely buy fresh toddy. The beach is a mere 200 metres away and is extremely quaint and beautiful throughout the day. If you want to see some action, you should get on the beach early morning to witness fishermen bring in their fresh cash. The food throughout the stay was brilliant and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and efficient. Olga and Rupert are great hosts who take care of you and have great stories to share, should you find time to sit with them and chat. We did and enjoyed every moment. If I revisit Kerala, Marari Villas will definitely be on each one of them. It was a place which rejuvenated us, just by welcoming us to be a part of them.

Marari villas and its nearby beach are simply and outstanding option for a "break". Every villa has a private pool, and outdoor garden setting for eating. Olga and Rupert were very welcoming, and all the staff friendly and efficient. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble. Australians are spoilt when it comes to beaches, but this one exceeded our expectations, with white sand and very warm water. Umbrellas and lounges. The chef at the villas was very good, and we very happy with the cuisine. If you want lots of activities, and entertainment, this is not the place for you. It is strictly for the perfect chill out
