When we arrived with the riksja from alleppey at marari beach we were welcomed very enthousiastic by the family that owns Lotus. They are so friendly and took good care of us. The room was nice and clean and the best bed we had so far! Both nights we had a delicious dinner at the homestay. They made us fresh fish, rice and veggies. The beach is just a 100 m away, for nice sunsets and laying down on one of the beds. The family has pillows and umbrella for you to use. When we wanted to go to the Ayurvedic centre close by, the family arranged time and riksja for us. Very nice and cosy! We loved it!

We had a wonderful few days here, the room was spacious and lovely. The hosts will cook all your meals for you if you would like that and the food is amazing with freshly caught fish. Marari beach is stunning, it was our favourite place in India. Strongly recommend staying at this homestay, it’s brilliant! You will have a fantastic time.

Me and my wife stayed here for a night during Dec 2019. We stayed in different good homestays throughout our kerala tour, this was really special and best. The property is superb and better than the hotels you would stay in. It's newly constructed and well miantained by the owners. It's a cottage style construction with two guest rooms adjacent to each other. Owners stay in building adjacent to the cottage. It has a nice small garden with a hammock right in front of your room where you can sit and relax. Feels very pleasant. Beach is couple of mins walks about 200 meters. This is not a beach facing homestay but I guess it's better as you get privacy and calmness. The beach area near peoperty has free benches to relax and sunbath. This area is about 800 Meters away from the prime marari beach entrance where most of tourists flock, hence you enjoy your bath and beach views nicely as you don't see lot for tourist near this homestay. Last and most important is the food, If you want to enjoy Kerala food then don't miss out here. The owners wife is superb cook , anything that she served us was amazing (compared with our overall 10 days stays in Kerala ). …

Je recommande vivement cet endroit, dont le rapport qualité/prix est top ! Logement neuf et propre, chambre et salle de bain grandes. Clim' et ventilateur, sur la terrasse aussi ventilateur. Literie impeccable, double lit. La maîtresse des lieux, son mari et ses enfants sont à votre écoute, toujours souriants, et parlent un peu l'anglais. Les repas peuvent être servi matin, midi et soir (en supplément pour ces 2 derniers). Vous choisissez ce que vous mangez (dans la mesure du possible, bien évidement) comme de l'excellent poisson frais du jour (coin des pécheurs) Tout est frais et cuisiné maison. C'est varié et Excellent ! (Jeemol, la maîtresse des lieux est une excellente cuisinière). L'environnement est calme. On accède aux petites épicerie en marchant 5 minutes. On ne voit pas la mer du logement mais il faut juste marcher 50 mètres et la plage se trouve au bout du chemin... directement sur tous les bateaux de pêcheurs que l'on voient revenir. C'est très chouette. En revanche pour se pose il est préférable d'aller sur la gauche pour de la tranquillité ou à 1km sur la droite pour retrouver les petites échoppes qui servent des fresh juices, des lassis et où certaines font à manger...
