Marari Beach sprawls across 55 acres of lawns, far-flung lotus ponds and whispering coconut groves, all threaded through with stone- flagged pathways. Living: Modelled on the fishermens' dwellings of Mararikulam, your accommodations are a fine balance between traditional form and modern function. Dining: At Marari Beach, you can enjoy the simple traditional dishes of the fisherfolk (along with, of course , a variety of international cuisine favourites) at our verandah- style restaurant. Dinners are candlelit, often with live music. Healing: Marari Beach has a fully equipped ayurvedic centre, so you can get all the benefits of this ancient system of medicine. Put yourself in the hands of our expert masseuses and you'll feel reborn. There are also regular yoga classes on the beach, in the thick of a cool coconut grove. The locale, we're told, does wonders for your inner serenity. Need we say more?

The hotel is beautiful yet it sits along a beach strewn with litter, human faeces and dead wildlife. The pollution in the area is horrendous and we saw 6 dead sea turtles washed up just on the beach outside the hotel during our two day stay. They were drowned in the nets used

This is a beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect: our bungalow, the food, organic gardens, ayuverdic treatments, on-site naturalist and so much more. A two day stay at the end of our busy tour was not enough. I will return.

I have been to the Marari Beach Resort three times. The first time was on my honeymoon 14 years ago, then again 10 years ago and then this year. Ahead of going I was worried going back that it might have faded, or that my own tastes might have changed, but I was blown away by

What a treat! We enjoyed 3 days at this beautiful beach resort. The bungalow style rooms were large and very comfortable. The pool is lovely, the grounds large and well layed out. We visited the butterfly garden, did yoga under palms, took nature walks, and enjoyed the delicious

Marari Beach Resort
Apologies, I cannot answer the poolside question. I recall there was no accomodation immediately overlooking the swimming pool. There was accommodation close to a "natural" pool and I stayed quite close to it. I was with a party housed in 12 villas and selection was random. I really do not thonk it is important where you are located as the resort is full of natural experiences. Drink : about INR 200 to 250 for a 600 ml Kingfisher larger.

Do they have sunset private cruise and how much it cost
I answered earlier and realized I had this resort confused with another. My apologies for being misleading! I DID NOT participate in a sunset cruise at this resort and am not certain this is available here.
