Awsome place to visit with family and friends. Its cool to visit between october to february. Classic and excellent service. Making party and having fun here can make rejuvinate from hectic lifestyle.
A pretty large resort, self contained with tons of activities around, helpful staff and great food. Their pool villas are worth the hype! The resort is built with lots of trees, ponds and gardens and makes for a great walk around. They have lots of birds visiting their property and a little flower garden that attracts butterflies. We had a great time with their naturalist, Shibu Bhaskar, who took us on a bird watching and butterfly watching tour. He could name a flying bird with just a glimpse and identify a butterfly species even from a larva. There are lots of outdoor/indoor games, a restaurant and a beach side shack, and a private access to the beach (the beach itself isn't private, but is considerably quiet and clean, and has life guards employed by the hotel). In addition to all this, it's the little attention to detail that set this place apart. Like placing a French press and ground coffee rather than the cheap alternative - instant coffee pouches. Keeping the room AC on to a pre-set temperature before arrival. Ensuring the room has a pleasant smell on arrival (few five star hotels do this!). Putting up an envelope to self-declare what you've consumed from the mini-bar rather than sending housekeeping staff to keep a check on them. (One of the five star hotels I'd earlier visited had a housekeeping person showing up at my room at 1 pm everyday just to check mini-bar! It was ridiculous! Due to that experience, I appreciate this resort's policy even more) Also, the little things that the staff did that made our stay truly memorable. Small gestures like the chef remembering our choice of food at the live counter on the second day. The reception staff welcoming us warmly on arrival and seeing us off like a family would, on departure.…
This resort hotel was a wonderful end to our busy 3 week holiday in Kerela. It is a well spaced resort with beach front access as well as a huge swimming pool and grounds. The cottages are spacious and well appointment, the choice of food is good and the staff are always looking to help you. The spa has wonderful treatments, taking a bike out is fun and we thoroughly enjoyed the bird watching experience with Shibhu! Special praise to 'Stellama' for her outstanding housekeeping in looking after our room! Great masala chai each afternoon on the lawn too!
We had 5 nights after a tour of Kerala. It seems to be an end stop for many people. Arrival, pleasant reception and an introduction to the resort. Accommodation, delightful. We had a garden cottage, they are very large, comfortable and have a super bathroom. It is extremely quiet. Everyone we met was happy with theirs, so assume they are all great. Outside area, lovely spaces, plenty of plants and trees with lots of birds. We much enjoyed our many chats with the nature guide. The large sandy beach has sun beds and there is a lifeguard on duty. I ran early each morning and felt very safe, mostly the dogs paid no attention. Pool, a highlight. Lovely size, possible to swim lengths if wanted which quite a few people did. We were glad that we did not pay extra for a pool cottage, they looked nice but we would probably not have used the small pool as the other was was so good. Food, we had the a la carte meal each night as we were quite happy with just one course. Buffet looked fine though. Breakfast good. All of the staff were lovely which makes such a difference. Definitely a good place to stay.…
Truly amazing place to stay. Exceptional accommodation, food, facilities, location and staff. Highly recommend as a destination for a luxury holiday. Restful and easy going in a fantastic location.
Perfect understated quiet luxury with the most attentive staff in a beautiful setting. Fantastic food, lots to do. The bungalows are wonderful with the semi outdoor bathrooms. Can’t recommend highly enough. A particularly good massage at the Ayurvedic Spa
Great location for you to unwind thru the beach, pool and also ayurveda treatments. It is a 2 hours from cochin so felt far but once you reach there, its a lovely little world on its own. Clean beach with very little crowd and gorgeous property
This resort was an excellent location for a holiday within the holiday during our Indian tour. The bungalows are well maintained and meticulously cleaned and outdoor shower is a bonus. Sitting on our Veranda having glass of beer looking out at the India pool will be one of the best memories of our holiday. Beautiful swimming pool and three excellent restaurants. The two meals we ate at the Beach Grill were amongst the two best we’ve ever had – really! We were particularly impressed by the standard of hospitality at this CGH Earth resort. The grounds include a wide variety of named trees and shrubs, the gardens are very well maintained and the hotel is within a short walking distance of the beautiful beach. The CGH Earth aim of promoting environmentally friendly tourism is brought to life here at Mairari : there is a garden which promotes butterflies, a delightful organic vegetable garden, bio composter and a resident environmentalist, Shibu. Shibu’s vision and expertise are an inspiration and we wholeheartedly recommend a tour with him. There are 26 individual owls on site including six different species. Astonishing.…
What a great place! This beach resort has a wonderful salt water pool and access onto a perfect, clean white sandy beach. We enjoyed relaxing on both and there are towels galore to assist. My daughter felt safe on her own on the beach as there is security and a lifeguard. The highlight for my husband was the incredible Shibu. His knowledge of the environment and nature that surrounds you at Marari Beach was incredible. His tours and the photography trip to his house were real highlights. We saw so much nature. The food is wonderful. Both at the main restaurant and the Beach Grill. Special mention to Plesant who looked after is amazingly well and really gave the personal touch. Rooms great - we had 49 and 50 which were about as close to the beach as you could get. Housekeeping really attentive. Lijamol looked after our rooms really nicely. The yoga was disappointing- the venue was too small - we couldn’t get in and there were no mats left. The Ayurveda spa was great - we all went and I went twice. Lovely treatments. The New Year’s Eve party was amazing! The staff built (overnight!) and incredible set and then we had a proper party with Indian street food, dancing, other cultural performances before a great DJ and loads of dancing. I would happily spend every new year for the rest of my days at this resort. Really great.…
Fantastic beach resort. One of the best I have been in India. Beach access is good with amazing views. Resort is good, makes you feel closer to nature. No TV, so families need to think of entertainment for kids. Food & drinks are good..friendly staff and neat premises. One can relax and have a great time away from work and be close to wilderness and beach. Expensive, but worth it.
