I find this hotel ideal because of its strategic location. The view of the world-reckoned Mayon Volcano sitting just behind the hotel's windows is very relaxing and mesmerizing. The staffs are friendly but their response time is lagging. I remember one time I asked for a bath towel, I called the reception to deliver the towel in my room, the... More

We were looking for a cheap place just to stay in for a few hours before another long travel back to the city, and so we saw this place online. It looked pretty decent in pictures and is very accessible, but the experiencing was disappointing when we got there. The room smelled funky when we got in. And just when... More

Their staff were so accommodating and give their services at their best. The hotel might not be that great but it was compensated with their untiring efforts to please their clients. It's really cheap and breakfast was served depending on the number of guest in a room unlike other hotels that is pegged to maximum of 2 in a room.

My brother, mom-in-law and I occupied a room in this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The room was clean and cheap. There was free breakfast. The location of the hotel is accessible because from there you could easily go from place to place since it's in the heart of Legazpi City. There are a few negatives too. Like... More

Plan was to stay two days in Legaspi then head off to Caramoan... 10 yr son refused to sleep at this hotel for another night.. calling it shabby hotel. there were mice running around our room, tv doesnt work well, noisy ACU. I was shocked to see mice droopings on the sheets...... More

If you have the choice, don't stay here. If not planning on spending more than a few ours of sleep, this might do, but equally might be pushing it. Rooms are tiny, hot, humid, dirty, with cockroaches and the shared bath room facilities are equal to a grimy bus transit station bathroom facilities. However, the price is only 200pesos a... More

This is not a business hotel nor is it for romantic getaways, it is however a backpacker special. Fan room with common bath at 200p per night and air con for 300p. Even air con and bathroom is only 400p. They have std, deluxe, etc as well. It is old, run down and basic, but has free wifi on each... More

We paid 600/night. The room was really small. Not for those who are hard to please. This place is ideal for those who are in a budget. For 600, we have our own t&b, tv with cable and air conditioner. If you are looking for a place to rest at and will be outside roaming around Legaspi/Albay, this place is... More

We checked-in this February at this budget hotel and all I could say is go somewhere else but here. While the rates are cheap, the service and facilities are equally cheap. Their building has 5 floors and no single elevator is in sight. We have to climb the stairs (our room was in the 4th floor) and it becomes tiring... More

As one who has stayed at The Magayon in '09 & '11, let me confirm the building is old, spartan & could use a few repairs. But it has some grandeur, great location & obliging staff (whose English may get vague when confronted by fault finding guests). The Magayon is over the road from a large barrio & next door... More
