Beautiful large cottages in a colorful garden with lots of flowers in a quiet area 5 minutes walking from the national park entrance. The owner Rajen is very friendly and helped us with everything. He also organises walking and jeep safaris. The first day we did a walking safari and the second day a jeep safari with Rajen and one of...

Again Rajen was a great host at Mango Tree Lodge: great setting, comfortable rooms and great Nepali food. He also organised jeep and walking safaris for me as my main aim for returning was to try and see a tiger. On my third day after seeing lots of rhinos, deer, monkeys and birds, I finally saw a tiger and ended...

Partially quoting other reviewers, whose opinion I warmly share: We had a wonderful time with Rajen and his staff. From the moment we arrived Rajan went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Not only at the lodge, with its confortable rooms (with beautiful traditional materials, hot showers, mosquito nets & wifi, and...

Organized by the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal, I stayed a couple of days with a group animal-lovers in this quiet and remote lodge. Nice and spaceous cottages, friendly staff offering great service and a host that knows the area very well and helps you out in every possible way. Had no hot water in my room but didn't really miss...

We had a wonderful time with Rajen and his staff. We were picked up and dropped off at the airport in Nepalgunj and were well taken care of for the entire time. We were lucky to see a tiger on our first afternoon. Recommended apparel: no white, no red, no bright colors - camouflage is best. Hiking boots for jeep...

I stayed in Mango Tree Lodge for 5 days in January 2016 with my two young children (age 2.5 and 1). From the moment we arrived Rajan went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were huge, cosy and comfortable with well functioning mosquito nets and hot water 24 hours (a...

As everyone says, better late than never and its exactly the same in this case. We stayed in Mango Tree Lodge with Rajan, Dev and Mahendra’s families for over 3 months in 2013! Of course we promised to write a review straight away but as we got back to Europe, got into wedding planning mode, job hunting, and house hunting...

My partner and I stayed at the Mango Tree Lodge in November, 2014. It was absolutely fabulous. We had originally booked ourselves into Forest Hideways as per Lonely Planets recommendations. We quickly checked out when we were robbed on our first night there. DO NOT STAY AT FOREST HIDEAWAYS. Mango Tree was a fabulous alternative, we arrived late in the...

Wow!!!! I cannot imagine how Mango Tree Lodge at Bardiya, Nepal garnered so many good Trip Advisor ratings! In fact, we stayed here against the suggestion of our Tour Planning Company (Earthbound Expeditions) solely because T/A rated this place so well. Alas! We regretted our decision. Most of the Staff were friendly and service oriented. We give them good marks...

All the team at Mango Lodge lead by Rajin made our trip to Bardia one to remember for all the best reasons: great wildlife guiding and watching under the careful and watchful experienced eye of Rajin, relaxed quiet location very convenient and close to the park entrance, great food and very welcoming and friendly company. Accommodation very private, spacious and...
