We were right up the top of the resort. Not too far to walk, yet far enough. Rooms are basic with back porch and shared front verandah. . For somewhere to sleep it is fine. The walk down in the morning to catch the sunrise light up Mount Popa is well worth getting up for.

The resort is right at the mountain with beautiful landscape and overlooking the temple. The people and service is great. Food is great too. Definitely a good place to relax and enjoy the peaceful and serene greeneries and view. Room is simple and pretty dark. There are mozzies around but they do provide the mosquito coils. Love the pool as...

We stayed at this resort for one night. Our room had a fantastic balcony with a wooden bench to enjoy the view. The sockets in the room were not working properly and there was no wi fi in the room. The only place there was wi fi was in the lobby of the hotel. When you are trying to make...

You can imagine how this place was in its heyday. With a little love it could be amazing. For our last nine in Burma we decided to treat ourselves. There's a lovely restaurant overlooking Mount Popa. From time to time a bus of tourists with tripods will arrive and take pics but they're usually quiet. The food is good, a...

Our driver bought us here after our trip to Mt Poppa Pagoda. The location, environment and views are fabulous. Service was ok but the food was very disappointing, especially for the price. All in $US. Stir fry chicken was $10. Coffee was $4. More than you'd pay anywhere in the USA and not even good.

We visited Mt Popa, and decided to have lunch at the restaurant in Popa Mountain Resort. Three of us (including our guide) ordered 2 chicken Nasi goreng, and 1 chicken with plain rice, 1 tomatoes salad, 1 spring roll, 1 bottle of Myanmar beer and 1 soft drink. The food is quite tasty and the portion is big. Total cost...

We only stopped here for a cold drink after visiting Mount Poppa - if you have time be sure to ask your guide if you can do that - or make it a beautiful lunch stop. The resort is beautifully landscaped with amazing views of Mount Poppa.

Stayed for one night. Pros: - Beautiful spread-out mountain property with well maintained grounds - Stunning views of the monastery and sunset - Had a great 2-hour massage for USD 45 - Reasonably comfortable bed and pillows - Room had a laptop-size safe - Good breakfast selection Cons: - Rooms are old, very dimly lit and in dire need of...

The rooms are spacious and nice although a bit old (we had the deluxe room). The staff is very nice and the breakfast was the best we had during our 3-week stay in Myanmar. We hesitated a bit to stay in this hotel (based on other reviews) but we definitely did not regret our choice.

Excellent for lunch and amazing views! We ate a terrific unch there and then hiked Mt Popa to the top afterward however the hotel and resort looked very nice - would definitely look to stay there on a return visit to the country. The resort and Mt Popa is about 2 hour drive from the main Bagan area where most...
