Stayed here for two nights wuth my boyfriend. Upon arrival, nobody told us about the hotel facilities, we had to find out ourselves. Staff's English is decent. We arrived very early, at 5am and were shown to our room. The room (100$ per night!) was dark and didn't smell nice. I thought that behind a sliding door would be a...

This Hotel was a disaster and if it was worth it's hefty price once can only be speculated. 1. Staff: Kind, friendly, willing to help, cute but absolutely insuffizient English. A nightmare to ask a question and you have to ask a lot of questions. 2. Room: Our room was separated to another by only a loose sliding door. You...

There is limited hotel choice in Bagan but chose this one based primarily around the location and the garden photos, however probably should have taken more notice of the reviews. The actual setting and layout is ideal but blimey the place is very tired and is well overdue some serious investment. Room was stale smelling, walls damp with black mould...

We stayed here for five nights based on a friends recommendation and good reviews here. One of the chief reasons was having a swimming pool to gain some respite from the midday heat in Bagan. On the first we noticed a few ridges in the pool and next day it looked like an earthquake had hit the pool! Repairs happened...

The plus of this resort is that it's in a quiet, green corner of New Bagan, and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. The atmosphere of the whole resort is really enjoyable- particularly with the pagodas in and around the campus. The candle lights all over the pagoda overlooking dinner were very much enjoyed! The restaurant had good, clean...

This hotel is located some distance from the main part of New Bagan down a quiet gravel road. The garden setting is really very pleasant and is ideal for a peaceful breakfast or relaxing in after a tough day of temple hopping. The rooms are, however, slightly in a state of disrepair. The staff aren't really that enthusiastic, although they...

Firstly I found it difficult to decide on accommodation in Bagan, as it seemed most hotels were dated and offered basic accommodation for the price they were asking. Thazin garden was in a good location close enough to the Main Street of New Bagan, therefore walking distance to restaurants, yet faraway enough from the main road with blaring car horns....

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very quiet as it was low season, but the staff were still very attentive and helpful. The rooms were very nice, and there was a small pool which was secluded and pleasant. The only thing we could even fault, which was very minor, was the lack of Internet in the room....

Thazin Garden Hotel was the best 3 star hotels during my trip to Myanmar. We were surprised by the lovely well-decor rooms, more like a 4 star hotel. My room was spacious with the view over the garden and stupa. The maintenance had done a great job in keeping this old hotel from being dated. The golden bed was beautiful...
