One of the considered better hotels in the area, with a price tag to go with it. Worth a stay but would try other hotels next time. Plus points - beautiful sunsets enjoyed with happy hour drinks on specific days of the week - view of stupors 100m from room balcony - nice how the hotel cultivates nature by having...

Entrance approach and lobby are delightful, grounds very well maintained. You can upgrade to river view but understand passing boats are noisy. Our room and bathroom in the grounds were spacious, clean, all facilities. The only minus was room lighting was dim, only one bedside lamp and even with the shade off could not read comfortably at night. Breakfast was...

On a tour and spent 2 nights here. It was appreciated for the Mayanmar ethos, Friendly reception. Staff were working hard to maintain beautiful grounds. Reasonable breakfast overlooking the pool. Happy hours were appreciated. Reasonable room looking on to 2 roads leading to river but more importantly overlooking stupas, in the distance, which were delightful to view at sunset and...

Beautiful grounds, swimming pool and room, with a delicious buffet breakfast and great happy hour. We were on a tour, so I can't comment on the price of rooms, but compared to where we stayed in Rangoon and Mandalay- this place was heavenly! (I had no idea a resort like this could be in Bagan.) However, what you read about...

The hotel is well situated to visit the temples but all the bikes were broken... it is far from other good restaurants but the "Be kind to animals" is only 15min walk away (offers many vege options). Room is very well decorated (some villas could be noisy if facing the water due to the local boats or the small village...

We stayed in Aye Yar River View resort for 3 nights and all I could think about during our stay was how everything is overpriced there. If the quality followed the prices, it wouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately the price we paid was definitely not worth it. Eventhough the hotel didn't seem busy at all, we were given a...

Stayed here for two nights whilst travelling on a group tour of Myanmar. The hotel is in very pleasant grounds and an excellent position on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy. Some rooms overlook the river, I assume at extra cost. Our room was on the first floor with the balcony overlooking the swimming pool. It had the usual facilities but...

The mattress was so hard that I literally had bruises on my body when I got out of bed. I think that sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable. A lot of hotels in Asia have terrible mattresses, but this one was so bad that it was worth writing a review about.

We enjoyed our time here. It was close to the river cruises an a short walk into town. The rooms were clean and comfortable and if something was wrong it was corrected quickly. The staff was also quite courteous. We also found the pool to be quite a nice place to hang out. The buffet was decent and had a...

The hotel is right next to the river "jetty". The grounds are beautiful but poorly maintained (trash, bird/ lizzard poop everywhere in the hallways). The rooms are ok, but infested with mosquitoes. Worst that we have experienced (at home in SEA or during our travels). And there is no repellent (spray,...) or burning candle or anything. The water is brown,...
