Family owned hotel, great value for money and perfect location if you are visiting the famous Tana Toraja sites. Lenny is the one who manages the hotel, her English is perfect. You won't have any language problem here. Her whole family helps her run Pison Hotel. Lenny is an excellent cook as well. We ordered Tana Toraja styled "Chicken cooked... More

Clean and large room. Don't expect fancy decoration/furniture but you don't pay for that either. There is lots of space in the room to unpack for a while which is good for backpackers. The vegetable soup is so satisfying if you miss home!!! The entire food offer is good and not expensive. The staff works really hard to keep us... More

The hotel is nice for what you pay - basic room, hot water, air con, balcony and great view. The breakfast is quite good, their coffee is incredibly good (I also bought some packs from their locally produced coffee roasting. The only down point the restaurant room is always packed with local guides that will entertain you with (sometimes) unwanted... More

Got a standard room with hot water for 200.000 rupiah. Room was spacious and ok for a budget price. Water was warm though very little water pressure (down stairs room). Also no place to hang the shower head so had to hold it when showering. No fan/ac but you don't need it with the frisky mountain weather. Don't forget to... More

Rooms from 120.000 idr (smaller with cold water, for 150.000 idr with hot water). Rooms are big, clean, with big bathroom with European-style toilet, toilet paper and shower. You can get breakfast (eggs from 10.000 idr, pancakes from 20.000 idr) and dinner in small hotel restaurant (but only in certain time). They offer to rent a motorbike, but in high... More

The outdated rooms are spacious with a small balcony but a bit smelly and not very clean. The restaurant is good and inexpensive and they serve excellent coffee. The staff is friendly and can help to book flights in Indonesia (which can be tricky with a foreign credit card).

At around $20/night for a clean room with a/c and hot water this is great value. Very helpful staff, food is basic but tasty (we ate there each of the three nights of our stay). Restaurant area doubles as a good space for winding down after a long day out - free wi-fi. Serves delicious Toraja coffee too.

We were happy with Hotel Pison. It was everything we wanted. Comfortable, quiet-ish, (nowhere in Toraja is quiet now that the world has brought the Torajans chainsaws), hot water and run by a group of very nice people. Breakfast is not included in the room rate, (at least it wasn't in ours,) but it is very good. The coffee is... More

I spent a few nights in hotel pison in a superior room with ac and hot shower. They've also different rooms at different prices so you can choose that one which is on your budget. You can also rent a motorbike in the hotel or ask for a guide. I can recommend the guide Otto Miting. He speaks fluent english... More
