I had a great time at Shardas Homestay.
The host Sharda has been very attentive and we have even been able to share a nice little conversation at the comfort of her saloon. I even got a very nice facial done on the day i arrived inspite of it being after her working hours. Her staffs have also been really kind and helpful.

Thanks and would definitely go there if ever i visit Ajmer again.

Shardas was a great hotel. Ajmer is not really for tourism. People from Ajmer are not used to tourist (they would stare, as a woman is extremely uncomfortable). But if you have to stay there, stay in Shardas.

The service from the young man that runs the hotel was very good. He's very respecful, professional and he does a lot in the homestay. The owner was very friendly too. The room is excellent, one of the best rooms we had in India. The homestay seems new, the room is spacious, the bed was extremly comfortable, lighting was great, and the a/c worked perfectly.

Nice location, just a km from Dargah & 0.7 km from the Jain Temple. The lake is just 5 mins walk. Very clean, well maintained. However if you are a light sleeper, be careful as there is lots of traffic noise & noise from the Temple next door. Good homely B'fast.

Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful family stay thanks to the generous hospitality of the host Nidhi. We stayed in the deck room, but the peacock room was pretty good too. We'll be back for sure.

What a wonderful discovery in the heart of Ajmer! Stayed 3 days at the homestay and found it delightful in every way. Nice spacious, well appointed rooms and at rates that were a steal. Great breakfast spread and warm hosts in Nidhi and Gautam. The location is ideal, right next to the lake and close to the market area. Don't forget to ask Nidhi about the history of the house which dates back to the pre-independence era.

We booked two rooms so my adult son and I could have our own. The rooms were fine. Both had air conditioner units and hot water heaters. The beds are really soft. The caretaker, Mr Ravi and his assistant are wonderful! They were very attentive to our needs. Our non-veg breakfast was good. We especially enjoyed the ginger tea. The wifi was good and the homestay provides filtered water. We drank bottled water that we had brought with us.

The building is located on a busy street so it can be a bit loud. The most disappointing part of the stay were the stained towels and sheets. You could tell they had been washed but the stains were very off-putting. There were also moth balls in every drain in the bathroom. Since the rooms are small, the smell was very overpowering.

Fantastic clean room. The most comfortable bed in our entire trip.

Amazing hospitality. Brilliant breakfast

Only negatives were the slow flow of warm water in shower and the nighttime noise. Take ear plugs

Truely great place to stay. Highly recommended

This time I visited this homestay just after three months, which is ideal for reviewing the services. It remains extremely well-maintained, though this time I had asked for a basic room with breakfast. I came during the Urs, still got a confirmed booking from the owner, a large clean room. The owner contacted me post my trip for feedback to improve services, this will take this B&B to new heights. This place is just 20 minutes walk from the Dargah Sharif. Had a blessed haziri at the Sufi Saint's courtyard.

Most tourists tend to stay in the town of Pushkar, 13 kms away, and visit Ajmer on a day-trip. In my view, however, it’s much better the other way around - Ajmer is bigger and more interesting and the accommodation, at Sharda’s Homestay anyway, is better too!

This delightful B&B is made up of clean, modern rooms above one of the city's busiest and best-known dental surgeries. My spacious, first-floor, air-conditioned 'Deck Room' with a separate entrance, a balcony, sitting area and a well-equipped bathroom, together with a more than ample breakfast in the nearby dining room each morning, was every bit as good as a first-class hotel, but more personal and less expensive.

Friendly, helpful attention from Dr Nidhi Sharda, the vivacious dentist herself, was a bonus. She gave me advice on what to see and where to find it and was always available close by in case of need.

It was only a short walk to the city's tranquil lake of Ana Sagar from the homestay’s position near Bajranggarh Circle and its glittery little temple with pre-dawn bells. The Dargah of Moin-Ud-Din Chisti, for which the city is renowned, was a short auto-rickshaw ride away and it was an easy ten-minute stroll to the Soniji Ki Nasiyan Mandir (the ‘Golden Temple’). There were two State Bank ATMs within a few minutes' walk too.

This homestay was excellent value for money.
