Beautiful lodge nestled amongst coffee fields & few kilometres from Ngorongoro gate, with fantastic views, great service & wonderful, cozy atmosphere, most recommendable! Loved the banana leaf roofing & the fireplace in the tent!

We loved our stay at crater forest. Our tented camp looked out into the mountain side near the Ngorongoro Crater. When we arrived, we could see elephants and buffalo from our deck! More like "glamping", with a tent set up on a platform high above the ground, bathroom inside the tent, and a fireplace at the foot of our beds....

We had a pleasant stay in this lodge. The tent rooms are very beautiful, most of them with mountain view. At dusk we heard a noise and saw an elephant walking easily just 20 metres from the tent. Very nice to see the wildlife even there. They served the best coffee we tasted in Tanzania, which is grown on the...

This place was 30 minutes from the main road!! The ride was very painful and bumpy. When we got there, we were the only guests (it's high season for safari!). The room was decent although there was a strange musty smell near the bed. There was no mosquito netting. My husband was not feeling well with gastrointestinal issues and some...

So far off the main road we would have given up, except for the occasional little signs assuring us we were on the right track. Beautiful property and top notch service. Electricity only available from 6:30-10pm, I believe. Rooms were absolutely lovely and food was delicious. I did have a few intestinal issues in the night and next morning. Am...

Dear Kristin, Thank you for your feedback, and for staying at our tented camp. Our location is unbeatable, bordering the forest of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The tents, on stilted platforms are well-appointed, offering plenty of privacy and great views from the veranda. We do take great care in the storage and handling of cooking supplies, and are pleased to know...

Stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon safari. Very impressed with the standard of the tent - built up on a decked platform and felt more like a hotel room with a spacious en suite bathroom. The view from the decked balcony looked right out of the forest - magical. Because the camp was quiet and perhaps because we...

Dear Lallyomally, Thank you for staying at our tented lodge and sharing your experience online. We are delighted you both had a lovely stay. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area starts just across from us, where the dense forest can be seen from our bungalows' terraces. Elephant and buffalo can sometimes be spotted grazing in the distance. Our staff is friendly and...

We spent two nights at this camp and had a wonderful time. The staff, in particular the manager Michael, were very welcoming, polite and flexible for any request we had. They took a lot of time to teach us about culture, nature and wildlife around the camp. The room and view was spectacular and so was the food. The common...

It takes about 90' from the Camp to the crater rim. The road between the main road and the camp takes about half of this time, and the dirt road is in an extremely bad condition. But if you are finally there, the camp is very nicely situated close to a coffee plantation and the forest. It makes a good...

The road up there is HORRIBLE!! After a long drive, we were in no mood for this experience. The facility itself is very nice - lovely tented rooms. Dear Patsy, Thank you for sharing your experience online, and for staying at our camp. There are two access roads to camp, and often guides take the steep shortcut one.
