What a lovely camp, hidden among the trees and just so tranquil. Beautiful, warm rooms. The staff were wonderful, especially Major. He was just so helpful and friendly and made our stay really special. As everyone has mentioned, the location is also brilliant for your safari on the crater floor. I would definitely recommend Lemala.

We spent 2 nights here as we drove from the Serengeti, then onto Arusha to go back home after a long safari. The food was very good, the accommodations were excellent. We had a man named Major who was assigned to take care of us. He showed us around the 'tent' and explained that he would start the gas heater... More

thank you so much for sharing. I was delighted to see that our team looked after you and insisted you had dinner. They really do get unhappy to send guests to bed with no food and will go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. I am sorry about the late arrival of the other guests but so... More

Stayed in late February of 2016 as part of a Northern Circuit Safari. Stayed two nights at the camp. Fantastic views of hills covered with an Acacia forest. Tents are gorgeous and beds comfortable. Very luxurious really. Food was really good, soups were exceptional, and the deserts loaded with flavour (and I imagine calories). Nightly campfire with Maasai warriors was... More

You will be first down into the crater from this location but that isn't the best part. The staff at this camp is amazing. The food may have been the best of the entire safari and our host, Dennis, was the best. We loved the "talking showers" and the rooms were very comfortable. The Masaai warriors that guard the camp... This camp is situated at the rim of the crater, very close to the park gate and it only takes about 10 minute to get down to the Crater floor, very convenient. There are total 12 mosquito proof tents situated in acacia forest. My tent is very spacious with two queen beds. Bed is firm and comfy; bed sheets are... More

So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and those hot water bottles in the bed as you climb in are a welcome relief from what can be quite cold evenings. I hope you had a fabulous rest of stay in Tanzania. Warm regards Veronica More

We had a wonderful 2 nights here in February and were delighted by our lovely large tent with huge comfortable bed. As other guests mention it gets cold in the evenings but the staff ensure you remain comfortable; heating your tent before bed and providing decadent hot water bottles. Everything was perfect, the staff was very friendly and very nice, the food was amazing, the location was epic! We were one of the first cars to go down into the crater. The tents were clean and big! It is very expensive but worth every single penny.

The camp has more than your basic amentities from large comfortable beds to an attached bathroom with a "talking shower" , heaters and electricity throughout the day.
