The cabins are absolutely beautiful and very spacious and clean! The pool is very big and the temperature very nice:) We had dinner over here and it was very delicious, would definitely recommend the food!! Overall had a very nice experience.
After three years I came back to AMEG-Lodge: it is still the owner led, family atmosphere hide-away in Moshi Town. They managed to keep their core staff during Corona and on entry they greeted me like an old friend coming home. WIFI and password were named on my wifes name and everybody asked me about my younger son. What a welcome. Restaurant is excellent and offers a variety of food with an Indian touch, but serves as well pasta and pizza. Gym is well maintained and the pool refreshing to swim in. The rooms are spaceous and the service excellent. I will come back
We were traveling to Moshi and Arusha and chose to stay in Moshi in hopes of seeing Mount Kilimanjaro. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but we had a great view of Mount K during our flight from Dar es Salaam. We booked a junior suite. The room was clean, and the internet usually worked. The flat screen TV was not programmed so was useless. The pool does not look like the photograph, and the fitness center has a good selection of free weights, however the cardio machines are quite dated. Overall maintenance of the property was less than what I would have expected for the price we paid (>$170/night). The design of the rooms / suites does not provide silence or privacy; we could clearly hear the conversations of neighboring guests. The staff was friendly and the morning breakfast was OK (not all items on menu are available; e.g., cappuccino / espresso)…
Ameg lodge was a piece of paradise- somewhere to wind down, relax by the pool and have a drink in the bar, all with a postcard view of Mount Kilimanjaro. A group of 6 of us stayed here while we were working at the local hospital for a week. Ameg provided us with the perfect getaway to wind down after the long hours. The hotel owner, Rajen, was really helpful and welcoming and that filtered down to the rest of the staff. The service was fantastic- helpful, attentive and discrete. The food was a mix of traditional African dishes and some Indian classics with some European staples (burgers, chips and wood fired pizzas). They organised our transfers and planned a great day trip to a local waterfalls- it was the perfect stay. Thank you to Rajen and the entire team. Can’t wait to visit again.…
The rooms are beautiful and the staff are attentive. I stayed here for 5 days while teaching at a local school. My room was taken care of every day and nicely cleaned. An added service I was not expecting was laundry service. Every other day they would take my laundry, wash and press it and return it after breakfast the following day. The breakfast was well prepared. It was slow, but most restaurants in this culture are slow. It just required some planning ahead. Will definitely be back!
Upon arriving to this wonderful lodge , the staff greeted me with a smile and graciously assisted me with my luggage to my room. My check in with the front desk was smooth and pleasant. The meals at the restaurant were always were delectable and served with a warm African welcome. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable, with very attentive staff always checking on my comfort and needs. The swimming pool was a refreshing retreat following my return from my Kili climb! Overall, my stay (1 wk) at this lodge was relaxing and I would recommend it to anyone looking a place to call home while visiting beautiful Moshi, Tanzania. I personally would like the following staff for their professionalism: Gladiness,Happy,Musura, Agness,Diana,Jenny Noella, Calvin, Happiness,Musa,Neema. Lastly I want to extend a very special thank you to the beautiful and delightful "Pendo" for her attention to my needs. You made my stay very memorable and fun. Asante Sana ! I will miss you :) JD…
As residents, we wanted to go today and take advantage of the beautiful pool. Nobody was at the reception when we arrived. When we left, we were told to pay 50'000 Tsh. (20'000 per adult, 10'000 for a 1.5 year old). We were upset since the prices keep rising and last time we went, it cost much less. Unfortunately, we cannot afford it and will never come back again unless resident prices change.
I stayed in Ameg lodge with a all-inclusive package to quarantine after arrival in Tanzania. I got picked up at Kilimanjaro airport. Food was very good, the staff is super nice and helpful. Love the pool and the very well tended garden. The room was very clean and spatious for only 1 person. Hot water worked perfectly. Wifi worked 99% of the time, after rain it can be off for a bit. But never had an outage of more than 30min. Had zoom meetings without any problems. They also have a gym, not all the equipment worked, but there are yoga mats and weights for training. All in all I had a very good experience and would stay there again any time.
The lodge is the perfect place for when you want to get away from the daily chaos and relax yourself. A bunch of things to do here. It has a combination of bars lounge, restaurant and to top it all off there free wifi and good pool , i recommend this place 100 percent Thanks
We stayed for two nights at the start of our safari holiday. Very close to Kilimanjaro mountain and Moshi town. The fresh fruit and vegetable market in Moshi town is definitely nice to see! Room is spacious and clean. There is a pool and the rooms/houses are spread across the green garden (with nice plants and flowers). Food is good, only the staff seemed a bit unexperienced and were a bit less friendly compared to the other places we stayed during our holiday.
