I stayed at this lodge on and off for total 3 nights while in town on vacation. Diana at the front desk quickly memorized my name and she was there whenever I needed anything. Welcome juice was quite tasty. I enjoyed it very much. When I came back after safari, a group of Americans were there to check in and they look unsure about the cleanliness of the juice. I think it will be helpful to explain that water is filtered before offering juice or anything uncooked to someone new to the area.

First room assigned was okay, I packed my own slippers to wear around the room and I was fine. The second room assigned was much cleaner, I wondered if they remodeled some of the rooms are and are still in progress.

I enjoyed eating at the restaurant every morning and evening. Evening is buffet and from the menu available. If you come in a large group, it is ideal to eat from buffet to save time. I opted to order small individual size from menu and I really enjoyed some of the Indian dishes. It's not spicy like Indian food but had enough flavor to it, all of them were good. Butter Chicken may be my favorite.

I like their pool and the gym. I came to town to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. I still had a few days before, so it was nice to be able to work out at the gym. It helped me get over the jet lag fairly quick by working out at the gym in the morning.

I also stayed at different hotels during this visit and compared to others, this lodge holds high standard when it comes to cleanliness. Their mattress is much more comfortable than other hotels I stayed. I missed AMEG while I had to stay somewhere else.

A couple of miles away from town center but small grocery store is within a walking distance where they also sell coffees to take home.

I was there with my husband for many days and we absolutely loved it. The gardens are lovely and the pool is a perfect size, nice and big. The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The food exceeded my expectations! Everything I tried tasted so good!! There are a lot of options to choose from (including vegan and vegetarian) and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are very professional and they will make their best efforts to make you feel super comfortable. I couldn't recommend this lodge enough.

Silvia, it was such a pleasure meeting you and thank you for taking the time to review us. You have touched on so many aspects of our property. I am thrilled that you have mentioned the vegetarian and vegan food options available as well as appreciating the high quality of food that we are so well known for. I feel though, the most important aspect you have mentioned are the staff. 😊 I am blessed with an amazing team, most of whom come from very humble backgrounds, and have learnt everything they know from the years spent with us at Ameg Lodge. It is the staff that make Ameg Lodge what it is today. I sincerely thank you for this recognition of their efforts and for the high recommendation of Ameg Lodge Kilimanjaro. Thank you once again and we hope to see you at Ameg soon!

Upon arriving to this wonderful lodge , the staff greeted me with a smile and graciously assisted me with my luggage to my room. My check in with the front desk was smooth and pleasant. The meals at the restaurant were always were delectable and served with a warm African welcome. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable, with very attentive staff always checking on my comfort and needs. The swimming pool was a refreshing retreat following my return from my Kili climb! Overall, my stay (1 wk) at this lodge was relaxing and I would recommend it to anyone looking a place to call home while visiting beautiful Moshi, Tanzania. I personally would like the following staff for their professionalism: Gladiness,Happy,Musura, Agness,Diana,Jenny Noella, Calvin, Happiness,Musa,Neema. Lastly I want to extend a very special thank you to the beautiful and delightful "Pendo" for her attention to my needs. You made my stay very memorable and fun. Asante Sana ! I will miss you :)

The moment we walked through the gates and saw the lush garden, flowering plants and the pool we knew this is where we would stay. And meeting Rajen, the ever smiling Director was like meeting a life time friend. He ensured that we got exactly what we wanted. Staff is super nice. The garden is massive and feels like being in a safari. Food excellent, gym fully equipped and strong wifi everywhere. The rooms are simply beautiful with thoughtful touches that will satisfy even the most discerning guests. The pool is long and lovely. There's safe in the room. Amazing place. I will surely return.

We were traveling to Moshi and Arusha and chose to stay in Moshi in hopes of seeing Mount Kilimanjaro. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but we had a great view of Mount K during our flight from Dar es Salaam. We booked a junior suite. The room was clean, and the internet usually worked. The flat screen TV was not programmed so was useless. The pool does not look like the photograph, and the fitness center has a good selection of free weights, however the cardio machines are quite dated. Overall maintenance of the property was less than what I would have expected for the price we paid (>$170/night). The design of the rooms / suites does not provide silence or privacy; we could clearly hear the conversations of neighboring guests. The staff was friendly and the morning breakfast was OK (not all items on menu are available; e.g., cappuccino / espresso)

The rooms are beautiful and the staff are attentive. I stayed here for 5 days while teaching at a local school. My room was taken care of every day and nicely cleaned. An added service I was not expecting was laundry service. Every other day they would take my laundry, wash and press it and return it after breakfast the following day.
The breakfast was well prepared. It was slow, but most restaurants in this culture are slow. It just required some planning ahead. Will definitely be back!

Great service all round
Pick up and drop off at airport for reasonable price and very careful driver which is needed on the roads!
All the staff were very pleasant and always helpful even out of hours.
Swimming pool is fantastic and the food in the on site kitchen was great with a lot of variety. Beat curry I have had in a long time.
Rooms are very comfortable with air con and cleaned to a high standard daily. I met Raj the owner and he asked if his team were looking after me which they were!
Great location for Moshi and I went on safaris and climbed Oldonyo Lengai with pick up arranged by myself prior to stay. The hotel can arrange trips if required. Would stay again!

We selected this hotel on-line as we drove from Arusha to Moshi. It was a pleasant enough stay and as some of the other reviews stated it is an average but adequate hotel. It has a great location not too far from town and the pool and restaurant were great. Standard rooms are rather small (we had no.1) and the décor is dated but functional. Everything worked but the claim of cable TV ( DSTV) access was tenable as we had 4 channels only. Food at the restaurant was the highlight of the stay and reasonably priced if a tad slow on delivery.

I stayed in Ameg lodge with a all-inclusive package to quarantine after arrival in Tanzania.
I got picked up at Kilimanjaro airport.
Food was very good, the staff is super nice and helpful. Love the pool and the very well tended garden. The room was very clean and spatious for only 1 person. Hot water worked perfectly. Wifi worked 99% of the time, after rain it can be off for a bit. But never had an outage of more than 30min. Had zoom meetings without any problems.
They also have a gym, not all the equipment worked, but there are yoga mats and weights for training.
All in all I had a very good experience and would stay there again any time.

Accommodations were provided for two nights during my holiday to Tanzania. The rooms were great, pool and lounge area were fantastic, but by far the most remarkable attribute of the Ameg Lodge was their incredibly friendly staff that was committed to our stay being the best it could possibly be. The restaurant in the facility was overall pretty good, offering a variety of meals with a focus on Indian Cuisine. Highly Recommend!!
