The perfect stay to relax after the kilimanjaro climb. Great staff always very attentive. Lovely and comfy beds. Great food and amazing breakfast. Loved my stay here and thank you to Innocent and Livingstone.

We stayed at the Stella Maris for two nights before climbing Kilimanjaro and one night after. We were greeted by warm hugs and a very easy check in process. The thing I loved about this hotel was how friendly and warm all the staff were (special shout outs to Innocence and Livingstone). There were hugs a plenty (much appreciated in...

We had been in Tanzania for almost 16 days. We climbed Kilimanjaro and took a Safari and we needed to stay one more night in Tanzania before flying home to Seattle. We book at the Stella Maris Lodge. I have to tell you Teddy and her staff are amazing. We arrived late and had a warm greeting with a hug...

Ultimate Kilimanjaro was a good company for the climb. We didn't spend much time there, and there were issues with water pressure and water generally as it was dry season. The staff were good but there was a language challenge.

This is a nice but not fancy lodge that seems to cater to people before and after their climb of Kilimanjaro. The hotel supports a school on the property. They also sell a small assortment of souvenirs and paintings that also have a % donated to the school. It is located well outside of town and there is not a...

This lodge primarily caters to Kilimanjaro climbers before and after the trek. Attached to a primary school, 15 percent of your room, board and souvenir purchases support the kids. The staff treated us like family and we are keen to stay here again when we return to climb Mt Meru and run the Kilimanjaro Marathon. It was suggested to book...

The staff were very kind and made us feel very much at home. They helped us with our luggage and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast options were simple but satisfying. Make sure you ask a server for eggs! The dinner service was a bit slow but the food was pretty good, worth the wait.

We chose this hotel on the recommendation of Ultimate Kilimanjaro and the fact that it supports the primary school on the property. We could not have been more pleased. Our rooms were very nice with adequate room for 2 and included a balcony with a view of Kilimanjaro. Beds were very comfortable and AC and Wifi were great. The staff...

A very convenient place to stay if you come for the purpose of climbing kilimanjaro or a safari. It's not far from JRO. The rooms are very comfortable with mosquito nets around the bed. The staff is very nice, warm and friendly. The best part is that most of the income generated from the hotel goes to funding a primary...

Super impressed with this hostel! In particular the staff. So friendly, happy and genuine. Wifi was great. The bar and food was great on the 2nd floor which gave incredible views of Kilimanjaro. Rooms clean and comfortable too.
