Great service. Amazing staff. Beds with mosquito nets and good wifi. But the one thing I did not like were the towels that are provided by this lodge. They provided us a sort of table cloth that are use as towels instead. A bit annoying I must say.

After days on safari, Stella Maris was the first time we were at a Tanzanian owned property and able to get away from buffets. The food here is great, and if you can, have your guide explain to them that you want local meals. Or you can just tell the staff yourself and have them surprise you. The food is...

Well what can I say, this place is brilliant. We stayed here before and after our Kili climb. On arrival and departure, Teddy greeted us with a big hug and all of the staff were incredibly welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were large and spacious with balconies to relax in the sun, on the return stay we...

I stayed here twice, 2 nights before I climbed to Kili and 3 nights after I returned from the mountain. I was so happy to stay here. They had everything, good beds with mosquito nets, hot shower, great breakfast, good wifi, computer and printer, luggage storing. Everything was included in the same price. Since my friend and I used to...

I recently traveled to Moshi, Tanzania for purposes of climbing Kilimanjaro. The guide company I used (Ultimate Kilimanjaro) put me up in 2 different hotels while there. The first was the keys hotel, which I was not impressed with both from a cleanliness perspective or from a comfort approach. (lots of bugs, both dead and alive) So when I was...

I stayed at Stella Maris in Moshi the night before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. The Hotel was chosen by Ultimate Kilimanjaro, the company that we chose to climb Kilimanjaro with. The Stella Maris hotel was great. The staff is very friendly and kind. Very welcoming is Teddy with her big smile. The hotel offers a restaurant, swimming pool and a...

As alluded to in other reviews, what makes the hotel a 5/5 is the service. I just finished hiking Kilimanjaro with some friends and since we've been back they've been eager to assist with any planning, transportation, day trip suggestions, etc. Plus it seems like everyone who works here is glad to see you ALL the time. I've been here...

The people working here is what makes this place great. When we arrived we were greeted with a big hug from Teddy and Innocent, probably the warmest welcome I have ever received. We were then provided with a cold glass of fresh mango juice which is exactly what was needed after spending 30 mins in a hot taxi. The rooms...

I was part of a group of three who stayed here in conjunction to a Kilimanjaro climb and safari. This was the hotel that was selected through the people we were working with, Lens Trekking. It was superb! The front desk was very helpful, polite, and professional. One of the best parts, at least for us, is that our stay,...

The staff is awesome, always helpfull with everything and available at all times! The food is very good and not at all expensive. Both of the rooms we stayed in were very clean and nice! Would definitely recommend! Nothing bad to say about this hotel and definitely one of the nicest hotels I stayed at during my two month visit...
