This is my favorite place to check in for a few days while in TZ! Most of my time in Tanzania is usually “roughing it” while working on my nonprofit (SISAL FOUNDATION) in indigenous areas. However, when the need for comfort calls, nothing beats coming here. We’ve stayed here nearly every time and it’s become a tradition. December 2021, we rang in the New Year with the owner who brought champagne to the pool patio for us as we watched fireworks! That visit was planned to stay for two nights and remained for the week :-) The property is beautiful, the food and service is heavenly, and the massages rub away the long and difficult days of dusty service/project work. We are in TZ again and sadly they are sold out. Note to self: book far in advance. The days of Covid (my favorite time to travel) are gone!

I can highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Everything is completely first rate..the setting, service and food! I spent 3.5 weeks in Tanzania and 4 places in moshi with our coming back and forth between the trek and safari. This place was by far the best! It’s a lovely gem and has great views of Kilimanjaro when it is clear too!

What a beautiful place, with great staff who feel more like family. The food was delicious , and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The view is absolutely gorgeous. We appreciate a warm welcome despite the late hour. The pool is lovey and the gardens are so very beautiful.

We reached 2.5 hours later at midnight, and the owner greeted us with a smile despite the late and wee hour arrival. The service and food were outstanding. The stay includes an excellent breakfast and great options for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the hotel terrace and the pool. We were lucky enough to have Kilimanjaro peek out of the clouds and have a great view. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful and gave an excellent service with a smile.

How wonderful it is to come to a hotel that looks so beautiful. A place where every detail has been thought of and chosen with so much taste and love....love, because in life, everything beautiful is born out of love!! It is a little piece of paradise - birds are singing, the garden is lush, well cared for and full of flowers, the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro is always awe inspiring, the pool is clean and welcoming and the colourful cushions everywhere give a sense of comfort and relaxation. The hotel's decor and furnishings are fabulous.....high ceilings, amazing coloured glass windows, beautiful wooden doors, large, lovely photos from Tanzania on the walls, large bedroom with huge comfortable bed , large bathroom. All is perfect!! The home made food is also delicious. Has to be ordered earlier in the day. I cannot think of a more welcoming place than this for travellers arriving at the Moshi airport, either to climb Kilimanjaro or go on safari. It's the perfect hotel to start one's trip and to end it, before flying off again. And, we are so happy to know that when we next visit Moshi, we have this lovely hotel to look forward to.

My husband and I stayed here on our first night in Tanzania and right before our trek on Kilimanjaro. Location is a great spot between JRO + the Marangu Gate. The hotel is run by a sweet Italian couple who cook all the delicious meals themselves. They maintain a warm, welcoming, calm, relaxing, VERY clean, and cozy environment. It feels more like you're staying at a friend's house rather than a hotel. They welcomed us to a decorated room and gifted us a lovely bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our honeymoon. It was the perfect welcome to Tanzania and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly, highly recommend! Also, keep on eye out for a cute, playful pupster who will be the cherry on top of your stay here! Thanks for a perfect welcome!

Very nice place with friendly atmosphere, superb rooms and extraordinary cooking (done by the Italian owner, herself). Half way between airport and mountain, it is the perfect base for seeking the adventure and relaxing, when not on that seek.

Such an amazing place with amazing people. Theresa and Alejandro are wonderful hosts and Joyce saw to our every need. We are a family of five and they put us in the "cottage", a secluded separate house with an amazing terrace and a private pool. The food is wonderful and the Spa massage was awesome! We have no complaints at all. Highly highly recommend.

I stayed at this location before and after my trek up Kilimanjaro. The location is beautiful, the food was incredible, and the customer service was second to none. Everything was spotless and the staff took care of me like family. Coming back after the trek felt like coming home. My fiance joined me after the trek and he was just as impressed.
