Ideal for a bit of authenticity and out of the way village culture; with a wonderful view of both Kili and Meru. You can sit on the upper or lower balcony and enjoy a drink, or snacks, under the stars. The hotel is clean and airy. There are lovely walks all around and the journey up to the hotel is an excursion in itself. The food is simply delicious and very good. Victor is a great host and Augustine a great cook: an excellent combination.

Dear Victor, I absolutely loved staying at your guesthouse. Your views of Mnt Kilimanjaro and Mnt Meru are breathtaking. This is a true experience staying amongst the local villagers. Your chef Augustino's dishes was an explotion of local and heritage flavours that I have never experienced. You offer everything possible in experiencing Tanzania and your personal interest goes beyond accommodating. I will definately be back. Mama Twiga

The rooms are very clean and tidy. The meals are delicious. The view from the roof is amazing! The beauty of the village and its nature are really magical. Getting to know it and it's people was much fun. The service is great and the hospitality is beyond what's expected! Victor was very friendly and made us feel at home, he was available for every need and was a great company to hang with. We had a wonderful experience at shimbwe!

Victor introduced me and friends to the traditions of his people, the Chagga. We explored the homegardens, walked through banana plants, coffee, saw oysternuts, tasted passionfruit. After the walk Victors chef had lznch prepared, using locally grown ingridients, lovely. The day on the slopes of Kilimanjaro was one of the highlights of my stay in Tanzania. I hope many more visitors can make the same experience.
