We stayed before and after hiking Kilimanjaro. Very relaxing atmosphere. Especially enjoyed sitting outside at the fourth floor bar with the view of Mt Kilimanjaro. We ate most every meal there because we loved the fresh vegetables and salads. They safely stored our excess baggage while we were trekking and their laundry service was quick and very reasonably priced.

This hotel is a high-class place to stay in Moshi, friendly welcome, best view over Mount Kilimanjaro, the service is very good and very clean, I loved so much the live band music on the rooftop at evening with cold beer after long hiking day in Kilimanjaro.
The room I stayed in was super, excellent value.
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for good accommodation in Moshi.

My family used Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel as our landing point in Moshi prior to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. We encountered numerous other hikers in the hotel so this is a popular destination to rest up before and after an epic Kili hike.

All in all, it was a good safe choice for us and we were not disappointed with our stay. Still the hotel is a little rough around the edges. The railing fixtures were flimsy at points and were not up to Western Standards.

While working through jet lag, I walked around the hotel at a very late hour (4 AMIsh) was surprised to encounter people sleeping throughout the lobby and restaurant on couches and matts. Perhaps this is standard for the area, but I found it a bit startling.

The restaurant has very little in the way of variety and is very slow to process orders. Eventually, your food arrives, but it is unusually slow.

The staff is very accomdating and are aware of issues that all climbers face regarding storage of luggage.

We stayed at the hotel the day prior to leaving on our Kilimanjaro trek and again on the evening that we completed it. I recall saying to my spouse when we departed the morning of our trek that “we won’t mind returning to this hotel because anywhere with a bed will be great after camping for a week.” The hotel needs a lot of work. The bathroom shower leaked everywhere and the roof tiles above the shower were missing revealing ducting. The TV in our room had minimal channels which didn’t really matter because the sound didn’t work. On our first evening there we ordered supper in the downstairs bar area and after waiting an hour we gave up and asked for it to be brought to our room. The quality of the food that eventually arrived was bad and did not reflect the rate being charged for the room. Upon our return to the hotel we requested extra towels (only 2 are provided with the room) After waiting for some time we were told by the front desk that they were out of clean towels but would send some up when they were dry. The towels never arrived. On more than one occasion we tried to order a drink from the bar downstairs and talk to someone at reception without luck as the staff simply weren’t available. The only bright spot was the lovely woman working in the breakfast area. She was very kind and her smile lit up the room. The amount of money charged is outrageous given the hotel conditions, food quality and customer service.

For 145 Dollar you would expect much more than what we got. Room is old as you can see on the Pictures. Cleaning service entered the room and ignored the "Do not disturb card" when we were sleeping. We booked a room with balcony and the balcony is approximately 20 cm deep, you can not even stand there and we were forbidden to use this balcony to dry our stuff like towels and bikini. The glass door in the shower was missing so the bathroom is always wet. There should be a money exchange service, but they said that 100 dollar is too much and they can't exchange so much. Hotel Its simply very very overprized for what you get here. We can just highly suggest to find an other hotel in Moschi and save your money for this high price

The staff was very friendly. Food was mediocre but since the location is pretty central you can find places around to eat that are better quality (you will need to take abt a $5usd taxi ride).
We stayed there a totally of 3 times during our 2 week stay (before Kili, between Kili and safari and after safari and before departure). Each time, the wifi was very spotty. We didn’t have internet access in the rooms, in order to get access to wifi, we needed to sit in the lobby and still it was very slow.

The rooms are a in some need of remodeling and a good cleaning.
The bed is comfortable.
There was not enough hot water and after complaining we were told to just wait and the shower stall was leaking and all they had to say about it was that "it's like that in all of the rooms"
The drinks at the bar are not great and we had to wait quite a while for them.
The food in the pollside restaurant was good (unlike the food on the rooftop) and the breakfast was enjoyable.
The hotel is indeed well suited for people who climb Kilimanjaro- there is a luggage room and a very fast laundry service at a reasonable price.
It's a good 3-4 star hotel, just dont expect anything more of it.

We spent a total of 5 nights at this wonderful hotel - 2 before we left to hike Kilimanjaro and 3 after while we were doing various day-trips. The staff is very attentive, helpful and kind. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I enjoyed spending time on the 4th floor which is outside with a view of Kilimanjaro. The hotel is in a great location and a short walk to downtown Moshi. The hotel safely stored out belongings while we were hiking, did our laundry for a reasonable fee and helped us with various other things. I highly recommend staying here while visiting this area.

I stayed at the kiliwonders hotel as what was originally a group of 4 while working in Moshi arriving at the end of February. It was meant to be 4 week stay but ended up as 11 weeks. From the moment we arrived to final day the whole experience was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the staff from top to bottom were so welcoming and accomodating. From taking us into Moshi to organise local sim cards which proved troublesome by ourselves , arranging a trip to the crater at ngorongoro, or making anthing food wise to order whether on the menu or not was no problem at all, we couldn't of had a better experience. The hotel is set in a great location with amazing views of kilimanjaro from the roof top terrace bar and surrounding area and only 15/20 minute walk either into Moshi or to shanty town where there are plenty of other bars and restaurants to explore. extra special thanks to Michael , Patrick and all the staff who went above and beyond, i hope to return again very soon and see all the familiar faces .

I stayed twice at the Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel in July 2022, bookending my Kilimanjaro Trek for three nights before and one night after. Kili Wonders is a well-appointed Hotel in Moshi, with all the modern conveniences, furnishings, and toiletries in the rooms, and tasteful modern decor in the common areas and rooms. The Hotel is centrally located, a 5-10 minute taxi ride from Moshi town as well as from several very nice restaurants. There’s also a restaurant at the Hotel where I dined on my arrival night, but preferred the ones in town for subsequent dinners. The staff at front desk were generally helpful, although I found the service to vary among the staff. A special shout-out to Josephine, who consistently provided great service with a smile.
A couple of notes to prospective guests. Rooms adjoining the elevator tend to be noisy from the machinery. I had to change my room, and later came to know on my trek that another couple had to do the same. Second, when I was there, certain facilities (e.g., the gym) were closed due to the presence of some VIPs, and there was also increased foot and elevator traffic for the same reason.
Other than these two points, I had a very pleasant stay at Kili Wonders in Moshi.

The property, and particularly the staff, "felt" safe enough - as safe as any decent hotel wherever. We did not hesitate to leave a laptop, some stashed cash, the Mrs' purses and shoes (incl. Hermes, LV, Loubs), etc. Of course, these were all packed in larger luggage. Still, we almost always zip-tie zippers/closures of the main and significant compartments when we store our luggage (ie. airport storage lockers). A robust zip-tie assures us a zipper/closure will not accidentally open. And, if tampered with, we will notice at pick up so long as I remember to check. Better sooner than later.
