This place is really amazing. Marco, Francesca and their staff really do everything to make you enjoy your vacation. Diving, sailing, lying on a sandbank - can't relax better. The lodges chef is really a gem. Never had such good seafood anywhere else.

First I thought of not writing this review -keeping this lodge a little bit of a secret- but that simply wouldn't do justice to the owners Marco and Francesca and the staff. What a special place this is! The lodge is relatively new (opened Christmas 2009), smallscale (just 3 suites and 3 chalets) and very tastefully designed/decorated, with much respect...

Excellent and patient scuba instructor. The seafood was excellent and non- seafood - eating - I was catered for with great humour and excellent meals every night. Francesca and Marco were the most natural and gregarious hosts we've seen in years. They made us feel at home straight away. The chalets were understated and elegant. For us, it was a...

We loved our stay at Shamba Kilole. It is run by a lovely Italian couple who couldn’t be more helpful. They were kind enough to upgrade us to one of their suites since it was our honeymoon. Every night they set us a table for two outside by the pool. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. The accommodation...

We stayed here on Mafia Isalnd for 5 days as part of a dive holiday. The lodge itself is fairly new and only been open six months and is an eco lodge. There is an Italian couple who run it and they are both wonderfully welcoming and look after you really well - it really felt like staying with friends....

When we first saw Shamba Kilole resort looking for a dive instructor, we were delighted by the very nice setting and refreshing main lodge. After a quick look to the lodges (very cosy and agreable) we decided to stay 6 days to give a great end to our 3 weeks Tanzanian Tour. And it was a good idea! Francesca and...
