We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom for two nights. We weren't expecting much based on some pretty scathing Tripadviser reviews and so were pleasantly surprised to discover that the hostel was actually pretty decent. The staff were friendly, the wifi was free and fast, and there were loads of communal areas to relax in. The dorms, kitchen...

The hostel is visually nice, that's about it. The staff were unwilling to help us with booking activities and they did not offer to make a call for us to get a shuttle. When we asked if she could call for us she hesitated and said that she would see if she could find a phone for us to use...

Good location, Friendly staff and good place to meet other people travelling. Not a massive fan of mossel bay on the whole but a good place for a stop over and this is a nice stop over with a very laid back feel. stayed in a double room with en-suite nesstled in the trees room was basic but have everything...

Park House Lodge was the nicest Backpackers we found - a Victorian house of slightly faded character, surrounded by beautiful gardens full of little gems - chameleons, friendly cats, huge koi carp and a beautiful little fountain in the courtyard. The staff, especially Lelani, were charming and helpful. There were a few ants but they were to be found in...

Take your own food and cook it yourself. theres beer in the fridge help your self and pay later. if the weathers nice there a nice garden to eat in

We booked this place thinking it would be a pleasant stay to rest on our way to Cape Town. Little did we know that we would be given basic box size very tired looking rooms, nothing like the nice rooms shown on the website. It was late and we had no choice as we arrived late and prepaid. The icing on...

Don't go on holiday here if you want to avoid binge-drinking twenty-somethings. Don't go on holiday here if you want affordable comfort. Do go, however, if you've an interest in Victorian homes, braaing and walking. Oh and if you're a heavy sleeper!!! The doors slam, the stairs creek and the 'kids' party all night...

This is a backpackers lodge, but also perfect for flashpackers (upgraded backpackers). Nice, helpful people, delicious breakfast, clean rooms, but the thing that impressed me the most was the house. This could easily be my house and my garden!

The house is great. There is plenty space in and around to enjoy. unfurtunately a football team was staying over here so there was a lot of noice (not only talking, but al the time yelling, shouting) untill about 5 o'clock in the morning and from 7 am it started al over again (because of a rugby match). The lady...

This place may be an excellent backpackers and does have a very scenic communal area and garden but, as a guesthouse, is nothing special. Our room (a double) was very small but clean and overlooked the garden which was plesant but not if guests stay up late in the communal area drinking and talking - they could be heard through...

“Dorms are cute and comfortable, if you can splurge for a private room, also quite worth it. beautiful views of the garden with hot coffee made for a relaxing morning.”

“My room looked over the street and was quiet and comfortable. The shower is a little tired but perfectly serviceable. Luckily I took my own shower hat!”

“Having read one of the reviews. My wife and I must have been Flashpackers. we found the people helpful. we were not offered breakfast. we had to go out and buy it. The room was clean but the white towels were gray. I think its ideal for the younger person. We are oaps and feel out of place.”
