This is the perfect place for a peaceful stop over. Rooms and food are recommended. Located on a working goat farm deep in a valley makes this a tranquil location...We have spent a number of restful nights here.

Situated 27km north of Graaff Reinet on the N9, a 3km track takes you through a short valley to Abbotsbury. Enclosed by low hills, the main farmhouse was built in the 1820s. The setting, with an 'English' lawn surrounded by trees (including a giant pepper tree) and roses is beautiful. Our cottage was built in the 1880s and has two...

This was our 3rd stay at Abbotsbury and again we had a lovely stopover! This farm is a wonderful oasis in the Karoo landscape. We had the cottage, which we shared with my brother in law and his partner. We had a very nice, pre booked, home cooked dinner. All, we'll run by Graham and his staff.

We stayed in the quaint old cottage which is simply furnished in cottage style. It has a kitchen and 2 bedrooms and a small lounge- We could order a dinner of home-made pie and salad so we didn't have to find dinner after a long drive to get there. Dinner and breakfast was served in the cottage and was washed...

First stop on our way on honeymoon, really loved the silence and no reception. Best place to get some rest and get away from the rush. Food was lovely and tasteful and liked the fact that it is served inside the cottage. The cottage we stayed in can do with a few small touch ups, for example the choice of...

Our second visit to this little paradise snuggled between the mountains which offers peace and tranquility. The special and individual service by Sue and her team leave you feeling both spoilt and relaxed . The lack of cell phone signal and Internet accessibility ensure a restful visit which can be enjoyed sitting in the gardens or on your patio or...

We stayed three nights at Abbotsbury in the Garden Suite. We were welcomed by Sue and shown to our cottage. Sue explained the arrangements for serving dinner and breakfast in our cottage and then showed us some of her delightful garden. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a country style and well provided with magazines and books. All the meals...

The accommodation was comfortable and the food was good, but there was no television, and as we had to have our dinner in our room we felt a bit at a loose end. The bath towels provided were very rough and scratchy. It does not take much to put them in a tumble dryer to fluff them up when they...
