Really wonderful time the staff are very good especially Rachael the relief manager who made our stay really special, the food was excellent and company good.Although smaller than most this added a more pleasurable time there for us. Eating around the large table was an equally friendly and enjoyable. The cottage room was to a high standard of cleanliness and the... More

We enjoyed a three-night stay at the delightful Loldia House as a pre-cursor to our main safari in the Masai Mara. The flight from Nairobi is a short hop of 45 minutes flying over beautiful countryside with magnificent scenery. On arrival at Loldia House you are immediately overwhelmed by the beautiful gardens, lake location and genuine hospitality and welcome. The... More

We stayed there last weekend and had the most amazing time. The place is serene, beautiful and just peaceful overlooking the lake. We were hosted by Rachel and such amazing hospitality.....they went out of their way to cater for us, since we are vegetarians! Loved the innovative meals and dessert.

This is a small house in Naivasha which has been preserved as much as possible from when it was built in the early 1900s. A word of explanation about getting there. The roads on property, and it is a stretch to even call them roads, are horrendous. We arrived just before lunch and were greeted by Heather, the general manger.... More

We stayed at Loldia House from 6th - 8th October 2016. The setting on Lake Naivasha is lovely and the views are incredible. The accommodation is really good , clean and tidy and very well decorated. There is plenty to do; from night drives on the farm; to trips to Lake Nakuru. Heather (and her team) who run the House... More

We were driven here from nairobi for 2 nights before flying on to the masai mara. Had a brilliant time. Heather and her team looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. On our trips out, Sammy was our driver and looked after us extremely well. The day trip to lake nakuru is well worth doing -saw... More

The drive from Mombasa was long and not always comfortable as a new road is being constructed around Lake Naivasha, but it was interesting, and an opportunity to see the real life of people in towns we passed through. We found out afterwards we could have taken a small plane in from Mombasa, but we didn`t know this at the... More

We spent two nights at Loldia as a pitstop between tented stays. It's a wonderful setting with the lawns running down to the lake and great views of Mount Longenot on the far shores. The house is well laid out with a cosy colonial-style sitting room and dining room and many lovely bedrooms with views. We had a wonderful room... More

Loldia House, the first stone house built in Lake Naivasha, it belonged to a family and now runned by Gorvenor's Camps. Loldia House is cozy, and charming, you really feel how the early settlers must have lived...gorgeous beautiful surroundings. Its a great spot to relax, read a book or just go out and explore. There are a few places to... More
