I am having a terrible experience. Had an early (5am) check in. 1. Shower was cold. Ask for an alternative, none. Shower will be amended in the morning??? No room reallocation. 2. I ask for ironing services-They come in at 8am. The time of my meeting???? 3. I ask for the iron box-against house policy. 4. Staff are so slow to come up with solutions. No enthusiasm whatsoever for their job. If you are doing business, just skip this one.
the receptionist were excellent l loved the environment , the food and the waiters were superb , the speed at which they attend to guests was good and encouraging, the cleanliness and neatness of the room is on high level
The receptionist & room service lady were extremely unwelcoming & rude. Our bedding was dirty. We arrived at 9:45pm & the restaurant couldn't serve us soft drinks because "the person with the key had gone home". My husband & I had a horrible stay, we wouldn't recommend it AT ALL!!
That Arrogant guy at the reception was so bad..and even after showing the so called only available room he didnt give us other options to see..we didnt care about the price but he insisted on saying the other one was 4000 so he couldn't show us. That room was even so dirty that I dont think anyone would like it. I was hoping to spend a night but the guy literally chased us away and said that if we cant decide we can leave. The owner of this place should be careful with the people he employed there as staff..and also cleanliness of the whole place. I HATE THIS HOTEL!!!!! 😡
Quite a wonderful place for Tourists and visitors. One of the best hotels in the Western region of Kenya. I loved how my visitors and tourists, from Spain, who I was guiding throughout their two days visit, were treated nicely. The service is superb, and the meals have got a wow! factor.
my portable computer was stolen from the hotel room on the 2nd day. The hotel managers looked - what to say - bored. They even asked if I was sure to have my computer with me at the checkin. The fact is: they checked the security camera videos and "only we and their personnel had entered the room". Oh, sure! :)
Hotel palmers is a nyce quiet hotel on a busy street as your enter the CBD from Nairobi... its has very friendly staff and the rooms could pass.it has no wifi but some rooms have DSTV at slightly higher(but acceptable rate) however I find their meals basic but ok but their breakfast is not worth the Kshs.1,000 (about $10) it costs... I went elsewhere for the same. However, I am concerned about booking online as we once did and confirmed our booking only to be embarrassed and stranded at 11pm having had our booked room given to some one else and there was no explanation whatsoever and the receptionist feigned ignorance... but did not want to show us what time that particular room was booked... but since it happened once...I will give a benefit of doubt. not convenient to a family with children though…
We stayed 1 night in double room which was really nice and spacious, with clean bathroom. Restaurant was good and staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was rather local, but food was good. There is also free private parking available.
its a nice simple hotel, very clean spacious rooms, has good Kenyans meals, about 10mins walking distance to the bus stop, good for short stays and stopovers, very accessible as its in the heart of the Kisumu city. it was quite okay for me
I have stayed at this hotel on various occasions over the years mostly for overnight stop-over en-route to other destinations. The place is quite basic and will suffice for a night or two (max). The amenities in the rooms are functional with TV and hot shower and simple bed. Nothing fancy. The breakfast is decent and can get you going for the day. The hotel is near the bus park and starts getting very noisy from 06.00am in the morning. I will continue coming here on short stop-overs in the future.
