The rooms are very underwhelming. they are small with very poor finishing. Power goes out often and they don't have a stand-by generator. I had to take a cold shower on a very chilly morning. Breakfast is absolutely inedible, we had to go to Java restaurant for breakfast even though we paid for bed and breakfast. They provide one cup, and a small satchet of dormans coffee in the room. No glasses, cutlery or saucer.

Stayed at Sahara Gardens during a recent family trip. The bed was very comfortable; breakfast portions were fresh and very generous. Loved the well-manicured gardens (but watch out for the monkeys; don't leave food unattended) and the friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Nice getaway location in Kericho, very relaxing and serene environment. The food is great but since the restaurant is some distance from the kitchen, it doesn't arrive steaming hot. Nevertheless, you better try the sweet and sour pork.

While on our way to Busia, decided to stop over for lunch after reading such good reviews of the place. But it was far from good. The place is hidden on a dirt road on Kericho road before the turning to Kisumu road. They have a large menu but with most items unavailable. We had to finally settle for a plate of plain chips, soft drink and I opted for English tea and was given African tea. The table we had seemed to have not been looked at for a number of days or weeks, extremely dirty and the staff did not even bother cleaning it.It took a very long time to be served and we left totally disappointed having relied on the reviews. Definitely not a place to revisit.

Wasn't really expecting much going by the exterior but it was a pleasant surprise. Clean place, nice rooms if a tad small and the food was ok. For a business traveler its ideal, quiet and serene environment, superfast WiFi. For the rates they charge you get value for your money. Staff are so-so

I got here in an emergency and they were very kind and helpful. Room was small but adequate. Warm water in the shower only, cold in the basin. Nice gardens to sit in and lots of monkeys. Food wasn't great and the service was exceptionally slow. But for a couple of nights when I'd been let down somewhere else it was very welcome.

We had booked the Tea Hotel two months ago--a place we have stayed often the last 35 years. Guard at closed gate pointed us to Sahara down the road. Initial approach was unimpressive, but the small hotel is clean with friendly staff, hot showers, and good food. In future we'll stay at the Sahara when in Kericho.

The room was very basic, closer to a small motel. We arrived after our reservation time and the room was not available. The outdoors were well kept. We recommend to use (if possible) the pay at the location option so that you may observe before staying.

Warm welcome by the friendly staff. Very cooperative & accommodating the special requests. Calm nightsleep with a very short night - no noise at all. John is a great manager who went out of his way to ensure all was well. Caroline was the climax of all with the delicious & service above self during breakfast. Definitely I'll be back soon.
