My room was dirty, I had dirty sheets (was changed after I mention it, but it was pretty bad: looked like old blood, so it was hard not to see) The first breakfast: we told them , that we would like to have breakfast at 7, started at 7.30, the fruits were out after 3 people...

Yes, this place is old, (I was told I is the oldest hotel in Ghana) but it has character. But the rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. Well located. Wifi worked reasonably well. Good value (160 cedes IIRC).

The place is good for the following reasons 1) Slept like a baby 2) Superclean and tidy rooms 3) Nice location, can walk to downtown 4) Superfriendly staff On the other hand they couldn't find jam with the continental breakfast, the wifi was theoretical, (worked the first morning, not ever again), and the only thing on the telly was Premiership...

For some years I have stayed at this guest house, and each time I have been very, very satisfied. It is very clean, has tv, ac, modern bathroom, spacious room with beautiful plants outside each private room, and a restaurant (a little pricey but nevertheless very convenient) where one can have breakfast, lunch or dinner, or simply a beer with...

I stayed at the Kumasi Catering Rest House for 4 nights as a solo traveller, working as a volunteer at the KATH. Room: My room ( a single room) was large and clean, but dated. The air conditioning worked well, the fan worked only on high. I had a small bar-size refridgerator. The wifi worked, but was quite slow. The...

We were here in late March after travelling for hours from Tamale. The neighbourhood seems to be posher than other parts of Kumasi from looking outside the car. The rooms in this establishment are set up, like another reviewer said, like chalets. We got the cheapest double room- the unique double - for 200 cedis (including breakfast) and it was...

If you are looking for cheap, humble accommodations...you're in luck. This place is in need of a serious make over. Everything is OLD and DIRTY. The bathroom is so old that the sink and tub are pink...yep, I said PINK. The kitchen is FILTHY!!! There is a small refrigerator that is dirty inside. The Internet is constantly disconnecting. Don't even...

No not a retirement home for aged employees of the restaurant trade but a rather fine chalet style hotel resort right in the heart of Kumasi. It is a wonderful walled sanctuary keeping out all the noise and chaos of Kumasi so effectively that birdsong prevails while you take your sundowner. There is a separate restaurant within the complex serving...

This was probably the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Ghana. It has nice and green ground, large rooms /suites and friendly service. It is also possible to have your laundry done at very low prices. It still is not perfect - the rooms could be cozier, the breakfast better, etc. Still, for Ghanaian standards it makes...

My two sons and I picked the "executive suite" which was the most expensive thinking that it would provide the comfort we needed, but it was an absolute disappointment. The furniture were totally worn out and dirty and the bathroom, which was very spacious, had not been cleaned in a while, with insects and bugs all over the shower floor....
