Staff wonderful and friendly, chef an absolute delight that takes such pride in her meals. Accommodation was comfortable and the hot water was a treat (not easily encountered in Botswana!) The tented room lacked attention to detail - simple things like having to go outside the tent to close the windows in the bathroom area - plug points that didn't...

Camped there on the way to Moremi - very friendly and efficient staff! We had forgotten a braai grid, no problem the staff carried an entire braai unit to our campsite! The only downside was the lack of a mirror in the men's ablution block & a u/'s light. Go back? Certainly!

Stayed here for one night on our way back to RSA after a Chobe visit. Nice place to stretch your legs after roughing it in tents for a few weeks. The staff simply couldn't do enough to help us - even moved our table for breakfast outside so we could enjoy some sunshine. A luxury for me was the bathtub!...

Not the best Lodge we have seen in Botswana. Only good enough for an very average sleep over. The food was so-so, the service was not to bad, boxed wine for dinner, the rooms had two basins of which one works. We did sleep warm in the tented rooms, and the bedding was clean.

Decided to stay out of town and chose Dumela for a 2 night stay - before I head onto Zim. Despite the lodge being very quite, the staff were excellent and went out of their way on numerous occasions throughout my stay. Lovely facilities and a beautiful main building - campsite very spacious, food was divine (I recommend the Chobe...

As a family of 4 we had two tents which were fine. there are no showers - baths only. There was no resturant on site. Free wifi available in the lodge although it took some time to get it working and it was very slow

I enquired by e-mail to a number of properties in Francistown. Dumela Lodge were the first to reply and only one to answer all my questions. This was indicative of their style, prompt and efficient. Dominic, the owner, came to collect us at the nearby Francistown airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were well prepared and prompt...

We stayed a night, stopping over on the way from Mapungubwe to Chobe. Reception very friendly, service decent, food edible. Prices okay. Tents are beginning to show real wear and tear, definitely need to be made over within the next 12 to 18 months. I understand the safety concern expressed by one of the reviewers, and the lodge seems to...

Dumela lodge is a good value for money. Rooms are clean and it was the first time we got DSTV in a tented accommodation :-). As they don't have any family room, they put 2 mattresses on the floor for our 4 and 7 years old children which made the room very small and did not leave any space to...

My parents went on a trip to Botswana and Namibia and stayed at Dumela Lodge. They were attacked by 3 men that cut open their tents. Be very careful when travelling close to the Zimbabwian border. Please make sure that the places you stay at have a lot of guests. I am sorry for the owners of Dumela Lodge but the...
