We used a travel agency to book hotels for a month we were traveling in Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. Uyuni is a small town with mostly dirt road and is the hop off point to the Salt Flats. Our agency booked us the better rooms throughout the month, and it was no exception here. We were given a huge room...

I had a great stay at hotel Jardines de uyuni. Check in was smooth. I was allowed to use my credit card for the stay. There's also a restaurant attached to the hotel where breakfast is served every day and food was pretty good. There was eggs, sausages, fruit, bread, cheese, cereal and fruit juices. The room was good, bed...

There's not much to do in Uyuni other than the salar and it's pretty cold at the best of times. This hotel is always warm, there's free tea/coffee/mate and they have good wifi (relative to Bolivia standards). The attached restaurant serves great food and they have their own tour agency (albeit a bit expensive). Worth staying here for sure.

Agree with other reviewers about lack of ventilation - it was really stuffy and the windows opened into the even warmer common area. On the plus side the shower was warm in the evening (though cold in the morning) As other hotels we had planned to stay in were fully booked we had to come back to Uyuni after day...

Considering the location, this hotel is nice. Beautiful decorated, with tea all the time available, friendly staff. Comfortable room and clean, but the bathroom its a little bit small, but with natural light, which is a plus. Thank you!

We had a truly flawless experience at the Jardines de Uyuni. Reception staff was super friendly, the room very nicely decorated/furnished and super clean. Even though we arrived to Uyuni quite late they still managed to make us a little dinner.

A few blocks from central Uyuni, the hotel showers a pleasant colonial architecture and decor. The room did not have safety box and normally has two beds of 1.35 cm. Since our agency made the reservation basis "one bed" the hotel decided to remove one of the beds, creating a bizarre bedroom composition, with bed lamps unreachable from the bed,...

Uyuni is in general not pretty, so is this hotel. Definitely not 3 star! Once you enter the front door, there is nowhere a window or any kind of fresh air available. It is sticky and it stinks. Not a place I would send a friend.

The rooms are either side of a narrow common area, meaning all noise including conversations, echo into your room at all times. This is made worse if you have the window open in an effort for fresh air - the 'windows' open only onto that common area. The bathroom is tiny, think Tokyo tiny but without the fancy toilet. But...

Compared with the standard of hotels I'd had throughout 3 weeks in South America, this hotel was an absolute godsend. Clean rooms with a bathroom that actually had hot water. We arrived at 10am from an early flight and even though check-in wasn't until 3pm the staff were amazing and got our room ready for us just before 11am. The...
