We stayed at the Tonito hotel for one night before going on a Salar de Uyuni trip. Uyuni itself is a smallish town and from what I heard with some quite dodgy hotels. Tonito is an exception. The hotel is well maintained, clean and safe and the owners Sussy and her husband do everything to make your stay pleasant. There...

We stayed here one night after our Salar tour. It is quite expensive but is likely one of the best options in Uyuni especially to have a comfortable bed and a warm shower after the 4 day tour. The bed was very soft but comfortable. The wifi was spotty in the room. The shower was warm (not hot). Breakfast was...

Clean comfortable and friendly place with best bed we've slept in so far through South America. Lovely owners. Ample areas to relax with (slow but usable) wifi after a tour and close to a load of shops and market. Restaurant inside was fantastic. Would certainly stay here again.

Myself and my girlfriend have stayed in many hotels over the past three months while travelling in South America and The Tonito Hotel is one of our favourites for many reasons. First off the owners, Chris and Sussie, are extremely warm and welcoming and they work very hard to ensure that their guests are well looked after. The hotel itself...

This hotel is okay, but has the advantage of being one of the few okay hotels in the area. As soon as some entrepreneurs realize they can earn good money by building a slightly better hotel this hotel will suffer from it immediately. The restaurant (minuteman pizza) inside the hotel was great, though a bit overpriced. Wifi sucks. Breakfast is...

Our family arrived in Uyuni via train from Oruro at about 4am. (Train was delayed about 3 hours) we walked the block and half to the hotel where I had prior reservations for two rooms. They said they were expecting us. The temperature was about 8 below zero and the rooms were even colder. They turned the radiators while we...

I stayed here twice, about a week apart. My first stay was great, nice staff and good value for the room. My second stay was amazing - met Chris and his wife (the owners) after wrecking my truck, and the stay was great. They were friendly and hospitable and really turned my mood around. Not to mention a free upgrade...

I had responsive emails in English from Tonito and decided to book the rooms at 400bolivianos with a guaranteed hot shower. And heating. Trouble is it was far from guaranteed and rather than say ok you got no shower rather than a guaranteed hot shower and the room was cold all night hence we will charge you at the lower...

The hotel had clean and tidy rooms. The hotel had solar heated water so it was very difficult to have a hot shower whilst the hotel was busy. The onsite restaurant was very good. The large pizza's were especially tasty and came with all you can eat salad. The breakfast buffet was also very good value for money. The pancakes...

Pros: very kind staff, comfortable room, awesome breakfast buffet with eggs and homemade bread, Minuteman pizza in the building (best restaurant in town), quiet, close enough to walk everywhere Cons: spotty wifi, electric heated shower had a very cold drip down the middle If you absolutely need a hot shower, get a room with solar power heated showers (more expensive)....
