It's amazing I went to all the best hotels, singitas etc, and mombo it's the best, the hospitality, the personnel always smiling, the safaris, the food, the rooms, views. Absolutely everything amazing. If you go, ask for the guide, named doc", he will change your vacation.

Dear Jaboumrad, Thank you so much for your great comments about our beautiful Mombo Camp. Doc is a guest favourite and very often requested by guests. He has a great knowledge and passion for nature and the area which also makes him such an adventure to be around. We are thrilled we were able to share him with you and...

The game is fantastic, and our guide excellent, but after 6 hours out on a drive (and on one day 7 hours - the Landrover got stuck in mud - not that we minded: it added to the fun) what one wants is food and drink served quickly and efficiently. It didn't happen, and it seemed that the staff were...

Mombo was the most elegant of the 5 camps we visited , Rooms are at the top with any camp, food was excellent, but the availability and diversity of the game was over the top. The staff, food and accommodations were at the top, but other camps were as good at considerably less money, but I would go back just...

DearDavidwpatricia, Thank you for taking the time to write us this review. we ar glad you enjoyed the diversity of animals we lucky to boast at Mombo and Little Mombo. Mombo is situated on an island just off the north-western tip of Chief’s Island, and more or less in the centre of the Okavango Delta. The Mombo area supports an...

I don't give five stars often, so please keep that in mind. Just got back from 3 nights at Mombo. Didn't know what to expect - I was quite nervous at the thought of a tented camp in Botswana and being completely off the grid, but as soon as I arrived I quickly realized my worries were unwarranted. Even the...

In the middle of the Okovonga Delta of Botswana, Mombo and Little Mombo are the finest camps we have ever stayed at! And, we have spent a total of three months JUST on safari at various camps in Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. Little Mombo is our favorite as there are only a few elegant cabins, vs. Mombo that...

On a short trip to northern Botswana as a party of 3 couples, we stayed for 2 nights at Mombo (in Oct 2013) and the only complaint I could make is that we didn't stay for longer. I've stayed at numerous private lodges in Central and Southern Africa and there is no doubt that Mombo is special in every way....

Since Wilderness has become a public company, things have changed. Having been at Mombo for the last three years, I was disappointed in out last stay in August of this year. In the past, dinner has been with the group of guests staying there, and now you are assigned a table, like being in a restaurant. Part of the joy,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is often said that as soon as you walk out onto the main deck at Mombo and note the plain dotted with a variety of species of game, you know you are somewhere special. Not for nothing is Mombo known as "the place of plenty." Situated at the northern tip of Chief's Island, the largest landmass in the Okavango, the camp's elegant design complements its magnificent surroundings, with the spacious, luxurious tents - each sporting a private sala - raised off the ground to maximise the views of the floodplain. The game viewing here is exceptional with abundant plains game and predators never far away, from leopard and spotted hyaena to large prides of lion.
