Modest looking but very clean and economical Bed@Breakfast; great Breakfast; exceptionally nice Owner-Lady and Helper; quiet location near the cemetery in Hanga Roa; lots of beautiful flowery trees & bushes on the property. I was there three years ago,(the Date item below doesn't accept anything before March 2014, so I put that year, even thoug I was there thee years...

I waited until arriving the airport to find a room and chose Cecilia from one of the booths. 24,000 got me a basic room and shared bath (below average) with a modest breakfast and airport transportation (this is the house close to the water/town - she apparently has two sites). I was only spending one night so I took Cecilia...

We decided to sort accom on arrival with most places quoting over £100 per night over Internet. We booked directly with Cecelia in arrivals whilst all the fancy guest houses were dishing out flowers to the girls to their pre-paid guests. But hey you know what Cecelia did that too and then whisked us off to the place. We stayed...

All the guidebooks seem to recommend this place but for the life of me I can't figure out why. We negotiated for a decent but not great rate at the airport and thought we would be getting more than the competition. Boy were we wrong. The rooms near Hanga Roa aren't true bungalows and the bathrooms are on par with...

Cecilia isn't particularly interested in you if you don't speak spanish. The rooms are rustic and the probability you will have hot water in the morning for your shower is about 10%. The breakfast was quite good and the lady who prepared it was a jewel in an otherwise poor experience.

The main problem at Cecilia's place is Cecilia. We went from Argentina, so language was not a problem. A we stayed for a week, we could see over and over how tourists arriving there were ripped of systematically. Cecilia, the host, makes everything to save money of your staying. E.g., she removes the toilet paper at nights, and she stops...

We stayed at one of Cecilias newer pension/hostels so I can't comment on the other ones that are farther away from town. My husband and I planned to stay at the Camping Minihoa location because we brought our own tents and such. Upon arrival at the airport I spotted the Camping Minihoa desk and immediately went over to book. Cecilia...

I just got back from a week in Rapa Nui (This is the real name of Easter Island). I did not book a hotel in adavance. I relied on the hotel owners to wait in the airport. Well, the plane from Santiago was 3 hours late, and we got to Rapa Nui in the middle of a stormy night. Only...

I can only confirm what other guests commented on Chez Cecilia. In the end of my stay, I left with rather mixed feelings. I booked in davance at Senora Cecilias Residencial Place and was quite pleased about the standard and the hot shower. Breakfast is very basic. The second night she was asking me, if I could move to another...
